How to unbrick a bricked Xiaomi device? - Xiaomi Redmi 5 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I am planning to unlock the bootloader of my Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, root it and install a custom ROM.
But I would like to know how to unbrick it if something goes wrong, but without using of the test point method?
Could I unbrick it with flashing of a custom MIUI ROM with the MiFlash tool, without need of performing of the test point method?
And I would mostly like to know, in which cases of bricking of the phone I would be forced to send it to the service for repairing,so the techs would use the test point method to unbrick it?
I personally don't want to touch hardware!
Please give me answers to my questions!
Thanks to all in advance!
Best regards!

root and maybe later restore?

Hello all.
Just had a quick question that I hope someone might be able to help me with.
I am thinking of rooting my prime to play with a custom rom or two.
From what I read about rooting it seems like it is just pushing files based on a tutorial I saw.
Does the tablet actually need to be unlocked to root the tablet and install a custom rom or can I just follow that method without unlocking it?
Also if I decide to go back to stock can I flash a image from Asus to make that happen like you can with Odin on Samsung devices?
Thank you in advance and for your time.

just one question

I have a smartron tphone model t5511 and I've tried almost everything to root but with no luck yet.
Is possible that someone here know how and please can he share it with.
When I bought it the first thing came to my mind is in installing a custom ROM but sadly no ROM for it so now my aim is for rooting it.
Have you used Kingoroot?
What's your Android version?
Have you unlocked your bootloader?
Best of luck
Not even able to unlock bootloader

I have tried every solution I could research.. Root Genius, Srs Root, King/Kingo Root, Framaroot, Sp Flash Tool, you name it. Okay XDA.. Is there a true solution?

what version do you have?
Still No Root?!
It just says Doogee X10 in the Model #. . Dual Sim Unlocked. Its a china phone so either MTK6795, OR MTK0633
Update Doogee X10 Chipset
I tried using several scatter files in sp flash tool, and the chipset is stated clearly as MT633
I think TWRP on this phone might be a lost cause, i have given up on the idea.
I am in the same situation, I stay here...
- Root for Unlocked Dual SIM
Wondershare for Android, Titanium Backup for Android, use OTG for this - tricky because everything in knowledge base for this stuff is usually just follow same as X5, but X10 has these details.
Unlocked + Dual SIM.
still searching for CyanogenMod
The 6.0 has default features though, Try contacting Doogee for a Factory Reset Instructions due to reading fixed corrupted pics. They might have a white paper dl that might include ROOT,
might need to translate into the territorial language but if you prove ownership you should be able to get that, maybe if you scathe a china web portal about doogee updates you migh find some useable links there
Magisk works. Make sure you:
Unlocked your bootloader
Know how to use fastboot
Have a recovery.img
Understand that if you choose to root, we are not responsible for loss.
There is no custom roms that I know of - however can build one, please do!

Considering that NOTHING has happened with this device in terms of accurate development and Raphael now has MANY custom ROM options, I would go with the Xiaomi.
However, this device is far better but I can't see the development taking off any time soon, if ever
Hi all, since I'm searching, I dont find this... Is there already a solution to flash the chinese Rom in global Rom or Europe Rom ?
