The sim card im using came from a htc desire 626s metro pcs phone and I want to use it in the redmi 3 but when I try it says network unavailable or something. What do I need to do? I know nothing of sim cards.
What version of MiUI have in phone? Do you have Redmi 3 Pro and MIUI 7.1.2.0?

Yep, you can flash roms from Snapdragon variant on any of the remdi note 4/4x, with the codename Mido.
