Betop G1 Official Game Controller for Huawei Mate 20 Pro - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Accessories

Huawei have a Designed For Huawei programme and the Betop G1 is a one of these devices. It is also the official game controller for the Mate 20 Pro, 20 X and Mate 20. This is my first impressions. Still learning about this https://youtu.be/exIxgaWckGE
Any questions, just ask here.

PUBG SUPPORTED After gamepads ban?
Since PUBG is banning all players using gamepads and third party apps like Octopus, is it still able to use Betop G1 in Pubg?
Amd if so, how could you map specific buttons since when I had tried to use gamepad before I found Octopus, I had only been able to use movement stick and that's it, no way to map buttons.

i have betop g1 and it works with pubg. mapping is like octopus.
Gesendet von meinem LYA-L29 mit Tapatalk

Oh, thanks for feedback, that's good news. So you map it in "AppAssistant" or where? I just wonder if you use any third party app for button mapping

Honestly this seems kinda pointless for me.
A controller for the basic movement actions, and one shoulder button? Yeah I realize there is also the DPad but you cannot press it while simultaneously using the Left Stick.
Usually walking around with a Virtual Left Stick (no physical controller) is pretty easy, as there is no need to accurately touch a certain tiny part of the screen, but instead, the player only uses swipes. Swipe up and the character moves forward, and so on.
But the BUTTONS, like jumping, firing, crouching and others.. they are a pain. You need to keep close attention to where exactly on the screen you are tapping.
If they chose to only provide HALF a controller, at least they should have made the most useful half..
What do you guys think?

Seems to have stopped working for pubg. Anyone tried?

How to use sprint with betop g1 on pubg mobile?
How to use sprint with betop g1 on pubg mobile?

You gotta double click on your virtual betop g1 left stick (after you have set it on left site so it can be used as left stick). Then you have to change the "analog stick range" (you ll find it in first "analog stick" section) to around 300 and place it the way that it covers sprint icon as well.

Pubg mobile not responding to betop
Hi, my betop g1 is not working with pubg mobile anymore. Seems like the device is fine. Its the game stopped responding to the mapping. Any solutions?

Does anyone use betop h1? Does it work on pubg?

Bluetooth Keyboard

Does the Photon only work with the Motorola BT keyboard? I have tried 2 BT keyboards I already have and I cannot get them to pair with the phone. I tried both the 0000 and 1234 passkeys the phone tells me but neither works. Neither of my keyboards came with passkeys. Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.
I just paired mine to an Apple Wireless Keyboard (bluetooth) that I had laying arond and it worked fine.
Random note about pairing an apple keyboard though:
After the phone asks you to put in a pin number and you hit ok, immediately type the same pin into the keyboard and hit enter. Then it will pair fine.
Hmm I will have to give that entering the key on the keyboard a try.
Yup that did the trick. I am using the Targus tablet keyboard and I did as you said, I entered the passkey on the phone and as soon as I hit OK I entered the same number on the keyboard and hit enter and boom I was in business. Only thing though I don't know if your using SPb 3D shell but I had to uninstall it because everytime I connect the keyboard the whole SPB shell crashes. Anyone else using SPB 3D shell experience this?
Sorry, I'm not using that. Is it a launcher? I'm using launcher pro.

Any others with a good functioning fold away keyboard and portable mouse for this device and perhaps usable for tablet pc's that support BT?

Best product I have seen for portability/functionality: Logitech diNovo Mini
In theory, should any keyboard that properly implements canonical Bluetooth HID work with the Photon (at least, well enough to work properly with Connectbot, including cursor keys)? Or in more concrete terms, has anybody found a Bluetooth HID keyboard that worked with Cyanogen, but DIDN'T work as expected on a Photon with stock firmware?
(by the way, I'm also open to suggestions for a keyboard that can be non-awkwardly pocketed, and is suitable for both panic-stricken sysadmin work with Connectbot involving bash & SQL *and* casual web browsing while eating at BK. I could almost deal with one that's "phone-like" as long as the center-to-center key pitch is at least as wide as the Epic, it has a number row, and the symbols are in the right places... but with more empty space surrounding the keys so I won't have to press with my fingertip to avoid pressing an adjacent key. I'd totally kill for the folding Jorno KB I saw on Wired & Gizmodo, but it looks like THAT one won't actually be available until 2012 even though they started sending out press releases and demo units last year).
Update: does anybody have an opinion (good, bad, awesome-if-it-worked-but-it-doesn't, etc) about this particular keyboard:
http://www.dracotek.com/bluetooth-w...e-smartphones-pc-laptop-and-more-bfkip01.html
It looks like the latest incarnation of the 4-way folding keyboard design that's been around since at least the Palm V (now, with bluetooth and USB-recharged lithium battery). I really like it (on paper, at least), because it's the only keyboard like this I've ever found that has all the keys I care about in the right places. I've been lusting after a keyboard like this for literally years, but it seems like my phones have always been one version away from compatibility with it (sigh). Now that I have a phone that literally knows how to deal with proper Bluetooth HID out of the box, I'm dying to finally buy one the moment I have an excuse to believe it's likely to work ;-)
I picked up the Official Moto Keyboard at Target for $48 - Normally $69.99 - it was marked as clearance - couldn't pass it up
Connected and works very well with the Hacked webtop

That worked with the CE Compass Mini Bluetooth as well. If only the documentation had mentioned that critical step.
The CE Compass bluetoothhas a mouse ponter control, uses AAA batteries, and is cheaper than Logitech but probably not as robust.
It is about half the size of an iPad. So it could go into a big pocket.
Thanks to follow
Well, for what it's worth, I've successfully paired and used both a DiNovo keyboard and MX900 mouse. I haven't bought a pocketable keyboard though. At the moment, I'm trying to find an app compatible with the Hero that can emulate a real, honest to god Bluetooth HID keyboard and Mouse (99% of the apps in Android Market don't emulate HID, and require a special server app that doesn't work on phones/tablets at the other end). If I can get the Hero to work and pair with my Photon as its keyboard/mouse, I'll be psyched... I already own it, it's just sitting in a drawer anyway, it's half the size of actual pocketable bluetooth keyboards with mouse capabilities, and I can do Graffiti on it instead of fumbling with keys scaled for a midget

the first one is the cheapest. i believe the other ones are just a lil newer. just make sure u order bluetooth and not 2.4ghz.
Those look nice but don't need a touch pad tho. I never use webtop not found myself ib a situation to need to use webtop since my laptop is always near by. I'm just looking for a mini keyboard that will work.

Dualshock Support - is it really THIS s##t??

Hi,
Just picked myself up a 16GB Tablet Z-£315 in the airport in Australia, thanks very much!!
Loving it so far, after returning a Nexus 10 with a dodgy screen.
One big reason for me to keep it stock and not unlock the bootloader and flash AOSP or CM10.1 is the built in dual shock support.
Well I've just purchased a Dualshock 3 controller and paired it up and I've got to say/ask, how crap is this?? I'm seriously disappointed, it seems like none of the games I have work with it:
Delver:can move with left analogue stick, can rotate left and right with UP and DOWN on the right stick, can't attack.
Minecraft: Doesn't work.
Pixel Dungeon: Doesn't work.
Bridge Constructor: Doesn't work.
Lode Runner: Doesn't work.
Etc...
Particularly disappointed with Minecraft-on Nexus 10 framerate was like crap-works perfectly on Tablet Z but the onscreen controls just kill my RSI riddled hands and forearms, this version of the game would be so f&&king sweet with a PS3 controller on this screen.
Is there any knack to getting the controller to work? Does the rooted Sixaxis app work better than the 'built in dualshock' support? Do any games at all work with PS3 controller?
Thanks.
I was a little disappointed that more games didn't work with the controller natively myself, these are the games that I've tested that do work though: GTA vice city, dead trigger, shadowgun, and snesoid for SNES emulation. If anyone else has been using the controller successfully feel free to share

I'm not sure the list is correct. For instance, I downloaded Temple Run (which is on that list) just for the sake of seeing if the controller worked with it, and it does not.

I've only used Shadowgun which was pretty good with a controller. If you look further down the list, he didn't link to Temple Run and also there was a Sony site linked that was a store of supported controller games.
I've purchased Another World and already own GTA 3, both work a treat with PS3 controller. Just a shame that Minecraft doesn't work!! Dammit
I think for now only game available on Playstation Mobile app (or Playnow) are compatible with DS3.
I don't know if the offer is still valable on Xperia Privilege app with 25euro gift, if yes use it to buy from PS Store.
Mega Blast work wirelessly.
edit : didn't see comment above before posting.

Works with my Nexus 7 for mass storage and worked with Tablet Z to pair dual shock 3 controller.
LOVE this feature.
I use it for SNES emulators. Just had to map the buttons once, and it works flawlessly.
More Play store apps need to support controllers though, definitely.

What SNES emulator do you prefer?
I use snesoid but that's just because its what I've always used. It gets the job done and have never had a reason to check out any other emulators.
Such a shame they switched the upper left row of buttons with the lower right one, GTA 3 is kind of hard to play in this way. I'm using an SGP321 on .253 though so maybe it's fixed in .307?

[Working] GameStop Red Samurai V2 Bluetooth Controller ($12.97)

Picked up a pair of these controllers from GameStop earlier this week. Only tried pairing one, but it works great! It has 2 modes, in one of them it acts just like the remote without the voice part.
http://m.gamestop.com/Catalog/Product/104425
I bought one today and it works perfectly. Tip: ensure the controller remains in the NP's line of sight during pairing. The first time it couldn't pair and the second time it paired but no buttons (in game mode) worked because of this.

I'm very picky about third party controllers and their directional pads.
This controller... is amazing!

One thing worth noting...
The controller pairs as two separate devices. If you pair it in "keyboard" mode, you must re-pair it in "gamepad" mode.
Just picked up two of these today based on reviews in this thread and after a few tests I can confirm that these things are amazing.
I was previously trying to use my Ouya controllers to play games here and there, but these $12 controllers are 100x better and most games and emulators I've tried so far "just work". They're actually comfortable to hold, buttons are responsive with good travel and I can operate the NP menu with them without any bizarre button config.

I agree. They feel so much smoother than allot of other controllers I have used. The Gamestop associate helping me recommended it. Glad I listened to him! The only real negative I have about this controller is that I wished it used micro USB to charge instead of the mini USB.
I hope this post can help those on a budget looking for a great gaming controller. Trying to give back to an awesome community that has helped me avoid many potentially bricked devices.
Just ordered mine from gamestop, it better be as good as you all say it is... Or else!
thanks for the heads up. i got two the other day ago and my girl got one for her kid. this is a steal. ive used several games as well as emulators and it works great.

Did you try to see if it works with 2 players simultaneous? I purchased a NykoPad Pro which works great and I want another to use for my MAME emulator. I read reviews (amazon) that users can pair a second controller but they can't seem to get the second Nyko Playpad to go into two player mode.
I hope the Red Samurai doesn't have his problem.
Finally arrived in the mail today and I LOVE the feel of it. Very comfortable to hold, maybe a little light, and aesthetically pleasing. Just need to figure out the easiest way to remap keys to work with emulators, and then I'll be golden!
Okay, trying to make this work with NostalgiaNES but they keys aren't mapped property, anyone have remapping recommendations?

a lot of games work with this thing. in theory any game that supports bluetooth controllers.
if you install lollirok and amazon appstore the list grows a whole lot.
gta3 works really great btw. kind of funny that it shows as incompatible with android tv.
ive tried a few emulators and know forsure that you can use two of these controllers at the same time.
Going to start testing out humble bundle games!

I went into settings and managed the inputs for each player.
You may need a mouse or you cam use the controller to access the settings.
What is your roadblock?

No worries, I'll explain as much as I can. Looks like you will need a mouse or 3rd party app to access the menu when your in the app. I use my DroidMote app. I couldn't access the settings with the physical remote or the remote app.
Once you go to settings, select input.
Select external controller
Select define keys and manage each player

App for touch emulation (gamepad buttons to touch)

So we can outright say that the Pocofone F1 is an absolute beast in terms of raw power and that makes it a perfect candidate for budget portable gaming station. The only thing that we need now is an app that can help to play touchscreen games via a gamepad. Since most games(and some emulators) don't natively support gamepads, an app that'll emulate gamepad buttons to touch presses on the phone will be a necessity.
I've been googling a lot to find an app of such kind but couldn't really find a perfect solution. So far I've tried these :
1. Tincore key mapper : Requires root and SE set to permissive. Works but touches are getting pressed at all the wrong places and not at the user defined places. So discarded.
2. Octopus : works but is spammed with too many intrusive ads , requires a lot of permissions and most of all not all analog sticks work. So discarded again.
3. Gkm touch: not working
4. Game controller touch 2 : not working.
5. USB/BT joy centre : not working.
So as you can see I can't find any app that works perfectly. I'd really appreciate it if someone can point me towards an app that works or if there's another perfect solution.
Thanks in advance.

I think that you are right. It is MIUI. The Redgear gamepad which my grandson has, works with my OP3 with Octopus. But it doesn't work with Octopus on my son's F1 running MIUI 10.
i tried panda gamepad pro but it doesn't work it has bean instaled and activated and everything thing is goin will but in the games doesn't respond to any key
I use app called "Shooting Plus V3" with my Ipega PG-9156 gamepad (via bluetooth). App works good without root.

Is any gamepad working on Android 11 MIUI 12.5.8 ? Help with troubleshooting.

Hello everyone. I've fallen into a deep rabbit hole of troubleshooting with my Redmi Note 9 Pro EU with Android 11 and MIUI 12.5.8 on board.
I want to play Fortnite Mobile as a great break between everyday activities, so I found a cheap second-hand Nintendo Switch controller and tried to play with it. It's connecting by bluetooth but doesn't work in the game... I tried with USB OTG and it worked ONCE after some messing with the Octopus app in Fortnite and Brawhalla. I was so happy, but it never worked again.
So, I found another controller - this time designed for Android - Stratus XL - but this pad is even bigger mess. It connects by bluetooth as well as OTG but nothing works in games.
SOOOOOOOO I bought an original PS4 controller because I read many optimistic articles and people's comments, that Dualshock is supported by Android. And I'm used to this pad - it's my teenage memory
Indeed, it works beautifully with Android (the touch bar works as a mouse), but it again DOESN'T work with the games..........
Now I'm pissed off. I don't want to buy another controller... and Nintendo Switch pad worked once...
I'm thinking about what I can change in the system, to bind the buttons properly for the games I play...
On the XDA DEV forum, I found 1controller module, but it was written in the times of Android 9 or 10, and I'm not sure if I want to root my phone just to check it out.
Anyway, I'm sure that I'll need to access root at some point, but first I need a piece of good advice from someone who knows something about Android.
I was thinking also about updating Android to v12... but I'm also not sure about it. Maybe there is something easier I can do... because if Nintendo Switch pad WAS WORKING ONCE.... (this is so confusing xD )
PLZ help me configure a gamepad on Android
