Indian version for all phones getting call recorder. I think others should get it too in other updates my personal opinion though

Those customer care people dont know anything mate. They can not disclose information. Dont think it should take that longer.

Someone rooted need to share rhe oeminfo file but the challenge is we dont have firmware out yet for global version. Untill then, You may need to wait.

Volume headphones
Hello. Tell me how to increase the volume in the headphones? Root is installed. I think I need to edit the audio_policy_volumes_drc.xml file. But I can be wrong because not enough knowledge. I hope for your help. Thank you in advance. Sorry for my English, I myself am from Russia.
Hello to all, i just got my honor 8x and i love it but it seems i have one problem ( well not very much a problem) but something that is bugging me and it is : i go to the lock screen option and i disable the 'update covers" but it seems that its not working..everytime i hit the power buttno i have different picture...so ...how i can disable that for real....

Will have to root my phone to check else the path you given is right also you can check the mixer_path.xml file as well.

That will not update meaning wont download the new wallpapers but it will change on lock screen as long as you have magzine Unlock as default lock screen type

I'm in the same boat. Ordered a 8x max to find out it doesn't work in the US, it reads the sim phone number but doesn't connect to any networks. I was super disappointed so I ordered the 8x 6.5 and it works perfect for 4g on cricket. I was wondering if I can flash a 4gb/64gb sd636 global rom and get some the US bands.
Guys did any body noticed display dullness and lost of vibrance after the latest november update??
Any treble ROM working on this phone?

Hi! While you are in lock screen swipe away from down of the display, there you will get an pause/resume(||) option. Just click on that option then it won't change your lock screen wallpaper.

I found that i can chose the screen and lockscreen wallpaper manualy after i aply theme by holding on the screen then wallpaper and then 'Both" option, that way it did not change it after every unlock of the screen tnx for info guys.
No NFC or 802.11ac?
I've just taken a delivery of an 8X from eGlobal. The model # is JSN-L22. I can't find NFC and it doesn't connect to my 5 GHz router by WiFi. Anyone able to explain why as the GSMarena spec shows both are present. The phone has 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Any help appreciated especially on the NFC. Is the L22 not even equipped with NFC ability?

I am from Germany and have the B08 installed. I think it should be no problem to use the spanish version, right? Via OTA check I constantly get a network error since few days... :/

No problem to use the spanish version. In fact the spanish one is the only at this time which shows B09.
Hong Kong, Singapore, Sweden show different version of A2017G
You're right that the ZTE network is down. I am waiting, if there comes one, for the OTA.

You can't interact with them through the quick action buttons, reply, archive, things like that. The problem is that when you expand them, they contract again. It was already there in b08.

I see. I have never tried it in B08 but by now I also updated to B09.

The issue is that if you, for example, receive an email and get the gmail notification, you can't expand the notification and use the reply and archive/delete button because the notification contracts immeddiately to its state without the buttons. You can tap the notification to launch the app, yes, but that's inconvenient if you can do the required action through the button.

I have got it. And was it available in B08? I didn't realize it but it doesn't mean anything because I have never been missing it although it would be useful really.
No, the bug was introduced in b08, the supposed "fix" for the notification bell (that ZTE USA successfully implemented weeks ago with obvious bugs such as this one, but I digress..)

Well since they didn't fix the broken lock screen with BO9 it's not worth updating at all.
We will wait until Android N in couple of weeks released.

Before installing B08 was working absolutely fine with all previous version.
Let's hope being fix with Nougat upgrade next month.
It's quite annoying that bug since it's one of the major feature of Android M having the ability to interact through lock screen for various app Watchapp,Viber,Gmail and so on and with B08 is broken.
Even listening music through lock screen the management of music control is limiting.

Another secret update from ZTE. From what I understand the unannounced updates would logically have minor fixes to the things they messed up in the announced update i.e. B08.
Dolby still switching off when plugging headphones. It does not look like they fixed anything really. Maybe the problem with delayed notifications? Hard to be 100% sure, but I have not felt like there were delays since the update.

I wouldn't think that it is bug. It is the appropriate way in case of a phone is made for audiophiles.

Why do you think that? Do audiophiles not want their phone to remember their preferred settings?
Or is Dolby bad for a proper audio experience? In that case, should not we be free to choose whether we want it or not?

I don't want to tell others what they want to. But if I was who made this phone I did the same. Dolby is not an audiophile thing. But an audiophile is not always audiophile. Sometime they can turn dolby on due few reasons but mainly non of them will use it for listening music on headphone. I would hate if next time I plug headphone I need to turn it off manually. If I use dolby it has good reason (mostly movie) and usually it is only one time event for specific material.
Otherwise dolby remains turned on in case of speakers and it is also fine. It is reasonable.
So current functionality is quite good for me. Also it would be fine If it was switchable.

obladi64 is right - Dolby is not audiophile thing.
I myself dont like any added software effects on my music. axon7 shines with FLAC's. and if you are audiophile you surely dont want to ruin all those subtile sounds with unecessary software adjustments.
first thing is high quality music, then headphones, then DAC/AMP. I can say I cant listen to 320kbps MP3's as they sound awful with my setup.
anyways everyone's hearing is different, and music taste is different, so you have to choose what is best for you.
B09 ist just a full build that will be used for newly produced devices or as a restore image. Nothing more.

Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded it, Truedialer is changed to Truecaller, which seems to do the job. But is not very reliable, 2 times of 20 missed. Also a lot of inapp promotional banner.
I think my fingers will take time to adjust.

Still not using Adaway? It takes care of all ad problems in your phone.
For misses, click on options on any number and sim 1 and sim 2 are placed on 2 sides of the numbers. In the dialer too there is option to switch sim
True caller started giving problems, last night my handset lost 54%charge all due to true caller never let my device sleep.. So back to square one.
Any one knows any 7.1.1 rom with dual sim dialer.. So that k could use it dialer apk.
Is anyone having this issue? The icons for ai video effects don't show up on my mate 20 pro. They just show up when I use the camera in the selfie photo mode.

It is happening the same to me. In fact I bought two of those single SIM and dual sim , no one of them worked for me, even new resolutions doesn't appear in the video menu, talking about AI it is not Implemented un this firmware and there is no way to update, I did call Huawei service in Spain and they said they didn't know nothing about this...its worryng me...this is a 1049€ device and that video effects were the main reason for my buyng It let's hope there upgrade soon.... I don't want to return my Mate 20 pro to Store and to get my money back but if I have to, I will.
I have the update with the effects. Just give some time to roll out in your country.
Also try the steps i mentioned above.

Hi popetillox, I have the same problem. I'm spanish too and my version is 9.0.0.108. I found some information about this and the "new" version I believe is 113 and it has Digital Wellbeing too (I haven't this feature too). I think that we only can wait for this update.

My Mate 20 pro is on 9.0.0.108 (c432) and I haven't any video effect and any video filter in real time, no new cinema modes also , camera application feels like being unfinished... I really don't know what is Huawei waiting for!

This Magisk module is using system prop to trick the system into thinking it is an "IN2023" device
so it won't block the photochrom filter for "IN2020" device
If your photochrom filter is disabled, this might help.
YOU WILL NEED MAGISK FOR THIS TO WORK
Simple 2 step:
- Install Magisk
- Download & Install this module

If you don't want the device be IN2023, you could change the 'fake_model' in to model you want in the 'post-fs-data.sh' file
This Magisk module is using the same method as: Enable photochrome on IN2020

I use it for example for detecting the right positioning of photoelectric sensors at work. It was a great and convenient tool past then. And if you buy a 1000€ phone, you could expect all features to work and not get disabled because you maybe potentionally "could" see some undies. If I knew that, I'd rather go with a Mi 10 Pro.

Well then I do apologise for being a smartass.
Seems ridiculous to have to do this, but what if you had another, cheap phone and you use an app like Bridge to mirror the notifications across to the Find N - that way you'd only need to allow notifications for Bridge (by setting it to auto-start, for example), and not be limited to the 5 recents apps and 5 auto-start apps workaround...?
Have this working pretty well, for notifications that I don't really need to interact with. Am using 'Pushover' with Tasker.

You're dreaming, I don't know if there will be a global release, but unless you can root your phone you can forget about flashing a global ROM on it....

There will be global but will be called Oneplus with same specs same design just OxygenOS12, but you are right we can't flash it and that is sad.. I did not know Oppo not let you unlock bootloader.
