Im after the same thing as well, flip cover that turns off the screen, and offer good all round protection.

I want it all! I want full S-View, wireless charging, NFC support, protection, and support for the metallic plate that the Mountek nGrove Snap car dock uses. I figure I could put the metal plate on the flip cover portion so that it does not interfere with NFC and wireless charging (just flip 'n' stick), but that still leaves me wanting a locking cover with drop protection like the Slim Armor View. My current bumper case (Bear Motion, same as Poetic) provides drop protection with the official Samsung wireless charge cover battery door but I still want an S-View flip cover and a way to lock it.
It seems to me that it would be very easy to design a three-sided bumper for the S-View cover by just making a bent rod that goes around and behind the S-View cover hinge. From there, I'm sure a mechanism for securing the cover flap is possible, even if it's just a bit of elastic or something.
Think anything like this is in the works? I'd love to see it!
My wife had a Moto G5 Plus which served her well. She loves folio cases, and I got her a Maikezi Folio case for it (I have seen this budget case under many different names). It was perfect, as the fingerprint sensor was on the front of the phone.
Last week she got her Moto wet and it died, so I got her a Nokia 6 (6.1? 2018) as a replacement. She is a creature of habit, so I got her the same type of folio case on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079C29K1S).
The cutout for the fingerprint sensor is the *exact* circumference of the fingerprint sensor. What the manufacturer/designer didn't allow for was the thickness of the TPU case and the leather backing. As such, your finger doesn't really reach the sensor unless you are really jamming on it, and even then, usually you get a bad read because such a small amount of fingertip actually makes contact with the sensor. So they should have enlarged the fingerprint cutout to allow access. I'm returning the case.
I bought this flip case from Amazon (RUIHUI Leather Wallet Folding Flip Protective Case Cover with Card Slots,Kick) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D3XK46V , I bought the "Classic" one, and it is really nice, it fits well, the fingerprint sensor is a little bit recessed but perfectly usable, and there is a groove to better access the hole. I never missed an unlock with it or got a partial read. The magnetic flip holds very well too.
I am using it with a tempered glass screen protector and there is no problem on the border of the phone.
Most covers offer insufficient backcamera protection,
And book cases are too sturdy.. Not fun to hold in hand.
So i recommend making a DIY hybrid of the original honor 10 case and an adjusted Flip Case.
This has the added advantage of offering extra protection for the screen/front camera as well, even if you already use a tempered glass.
-Order cheap flip case from Aliexpress
-Cut out the hard plastic case and throw away
-Turn around flip cover and cut a new hole in it for the back camera
-Cut off the flip cover 8mm beneath camera, and throw away
-use quickglue to glue the original Honor transparent case in it.
-Reinforce the cut camera hole with glue.
You may want to cut out the magnet as well as this might interfere with compass or other functions in the phone.

For cases I always recommend Spigen
Rugged Armor is the one I always go for, has the raised lip around the screen to make sure it can never land on the screen and is nice and slim but with good protection, easy to snap in and remove with it being a flexible TPU shell
For the case :
I heard good comments about Spingen. But I chose Otterbox symmetry series case black
It's more expensive than others I have seen but I'm very satisfied.
-very simple design
-high borders (protects the screen and back camera)
-slim enough (close to the camera on the back)
-hard back/softer borders
-buttons fit very well
I hesitated with the official huawei smart view flip cover
-fits the back camera perfectly
-protects the screen when closed
-smart notifications
-very good looking
But
-On my previous phone I had a flip cover and after holding it on one hand a while it get used faster
-less conveniant to put on a support for navigation in cars
-feel less durable
For the screen protector :
I will keep the one pre-installed until it needs to be changed
(I never put something else than my phone in the pocket where I put my phone and my previous phone never had one)

I actually have tried 4 tempered glass screen protectors and always had some white edges (very tiny thing)
Someone know if white edges can damage the screen or display of the P30?

It's a good cover, looks pretty nice. Cover is on level with camera, not a huge bump.

To my luck ,my phone survived a Auto rickshaw tyre once and complete drop from top on same day
i have following and no damage to rear
the front had OG tempered glass and it was shattered when auto tyre ran over
