That's not an error, that's a warning. And it doesn't fail on that. The real error is somewhere else.

Question Cannot boot into brom mode

Hello,
I got a used OnePlus Nord 2 5G and tried to get root and other things working, but sadly flashed a wrong boot.img in the process.
I already had it in the brom mode sometime earlier, but as i updated it to oos12, it seems that the brom mode was disabled.
I cant get into fastboot because of verification fails and when trying to boot into brom mode the only message from mtk-client is handshake failed.
So im searching for some new ideas regarding my problem (if there are any)?
BR
Which oos have?
OxygenOS 12 C.05 was the last i installed
You're ****ed up because on oos 12 oneplus Just disable fastboot and brom

I understand that you're facing difficulties with your OnePlus Nord 2 5G after flashing the wrong boot.img and encountering verification failures when trying to access fastboot mode. It seems that the brom mode is also not working, with a handshake failure message from the mtk-client.
In situations like these, it's important to proceed with caution as incorrect flashing or modifications can potentially lead to device issues. Here are a few suggestions to consider:
1. Contact OnePlus Support: Reach out to OnePlus customer support for guidance on recovering your device. They have expertise in dealing with specific device-related issues and can provide you with accurate instructions or direct you to an authorized service center if needed.
2. Seek assistance from XDA Developers Forum: The XDA Developers Forum is a community of enthusiasts and experts who often provide solutions and guidance for Android devices. You can search for threads related to your device model or post a new thread describing your issue to seek advice from the community members who have experience with similar situations.
3. Explore device-specific forums or communities: Look for forums or online communities that specifically focus on OnePlus devices or your OnePlus Nord 2 model. These platforms can be valuable resources for finding solutions, tutorials, or troubleshooting steps shared by users who have encountered similar issues.
4. Consider professional assistance: If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own or with community support, it might be worth considering professional assistance from a reputable mobile repair service or an authorized service center. They can examine your device, diagnose the problem accurately, and suggest appropriate solutions.
Remember to exercise caution and be aware that attempting further modifications or flashing without proper knowledge and understanding may lead to irreversible damage. It's always recommended to follow official instructions or seek assistance from reliable sources when modifying or troubleshooting your device.

Unlock tool will automatically crash the preloader to Brom mode given that your phone doesn't have the latest security patch
