Slider scratches - Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Accessories

Hi!
today I find out some scratches under the slider, after 2 weeks of using my Mix 3. Does anyone have the same problem? I use the original phone case. Maybe you've seen somewhere the protective film for front camera (under slider)?

Using my Mix3 as a daily for the last 2 months without any case, ive gotten no scratches on the camera slider part. But did get some minor scratches and a very small chip on the screen (not noticeable)

I've also had it for 2 weeks honestly I think it's just part of the phone

God those scratches look bad. I've only had my phone a couple days, so I want to protect as much as possible, has anything been found yet to protect the front camera? And with the scratches, does it look like it's caused by some mechanical part inside, or could it be like a piece of sand getting trapped?

Mine got scratched too... I looked for a protector with no success...

Since I'm getting my mix 3 today, I wanted to ask if it's not possible to leave the original slide on it? Would not they be stable enough?

I bought a all aluminium with glass back case that's magnetic, well the front bezel scratched my slider front by the sensors. The case feels nice but kinda slippery so if you plan on getting this case file down the back of the front bezel on the top and file all the way across and it no longer with make contact. Cases are limited for this mix 3 and gearbest has the biggest selection. Nilliken anti explosion screen protector is pretty good and prob your best bet.

I have my mi mix 3 too since around 2 weeks with zero scratches. Maybe just be careful and don't use it in "dirty" areas. With a mechanism like a slider this can happen easily. I did not found any protection glass for the slider only so far.

JunLi Screen Protectors

When I was working on the custom cases I also requested some screen protectors. I just receive a box of 20 JunLi screen protectors in the mail.
Can set it up on the site I used before. Let me know if you are interested.
I can put some pics later. They have the camera cutout and I am not noticing and difference in responsiveness.
I am interested. Please post or PM a link.
Ditto. Those Skinomis scare me! lol too much moisture.

BTW, I've been using one of these for a week or so and have been very impressed. The cover the full front with a hole for the camera, no bubbles, no 'rainbow' effect

it2steve just posted the pictures so I don't have to now
Yea, I was actually impressed with the quality and they fit perfect to the screen.
After the one I am using I have 19 left.
Working on taxes now but will try to put it on the website soon.
Also have a couple cases left from the group buy and they are not a perfect fit (needs some adjustments like camera hole, speaker on the right and buttons).
So far I send out 15 cases and everyone likes em and were able to make the adjustments fairly easy with a utility knife.
Great. Look forward to it.
I'd like to get one of these screen protectors, too.
The way I bang things around a screen protector is a must for me.

I'd be interested in one of these screen protectors!
I would be interested also.
I PMed but I am also interested.
If you have any left, I would like one.
PM it2steve for the JunLi screen protectors. Got mine from him (GREAT SERVICE!) and protector is super! Fits well and extremely simple to apply! This from someone who has never been able to apply a screen protector in his life before. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

i would be interested in a case, if any left and a screen proterctor. Thanks!
quality?
How do they compare to the skinomi screen protectors? My protector from them made my screen feel smoother to slide and the fingerprints were reduced but over responsiveness feels lower and it was a huge pain to apply. It was also shipped to me with particles already under the screen cover and slight warping on the surface in some areas that causes slight distortions. I want to use a protector but if this is the level of product created for the gtablet I'm just going to stick to rainX and being over cautious.
Junli are dry, skinomi is a wet apply--that's enough to steer me towards junli. i just installed one the other day. well worth the $10 I paid.
I would be interested in one of these, I have my sleeve....my back cover is on order, now I just need a screen protector.
Scott
Just installed mine today and highly recommend it to anyone with a grab!
I've got more on the way in this week, I believe 100 are on the way so I should have plenty of stock soon. Needless to say AS SOON as I get tracking numbers on more 'stuff' I'll post it on the 'estimated in stock' part for each item. Please make sure you've subscribed to the newsletter portion of you account as that's how I let you know ahead of time and get you the code for the xda price reduction.
[2/28 - will be in stock on the site today (probably within the next hour)!]
swyped from my Vegan 'flavored' Gtab...

does anyone have scratches on their prime's bezel from docking it to the keyboard?

i have the tf300t and i have a few scratches from docking it to the keyboard. what about you guys?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
None, and I'm pretty rough with it too.
I have none. Maybe it's because the TF300 has a weaker build quality than the tf201
Ive not noticed any scratches on the actuall glass bit of my prime, which i know some people have experienced, but i have noticed the two spacers on either side of the dock connector of my tab has some scratches, probably caused by the keyboard dock or the gps dongle, i dont suppose you have a dongle, even though its the tf300?
As long as it doesnt cause any machanical damage over a period of time, and doesnt one day scratch/crack the screen, i can live with it, out of sight out of mind

No scratches whatsoever.
Maybe it's because Prime has supposedly scratch resistant gorilla glass unlike TF300?

Prime does have Gorilla Glass. TF300 does not. I believe it's your standard hardened glass. So TF300 would be more prone to scratches. Although I don't know how much better Gorilla Glass is compared to hardened Glass. You would think it would be an upgrade.
I don't have any scratches from docking. Perhaps it is that the TF300 has a flatter area and when you're trying to connect it to the dock it can slide against the pin connector. The prime seems to be more angled so it seems to slip right in for me. (Just guessing as I don't have a 300)
That too bad. I know when I get a scratch I'm not feeling to good about it.
On my PRIME my dock caused my sn sticker to become annoying so I peeled it and stuck it to the dock. The metal in that area is so thin it needs to treated with care. Check with a flashlight and glasses on in the dock area to make sure you dont have any sharp edges in there. I am glad the best buy sales dork could not convince my wife that I needed the 300 over the Prime, I would have slapped her and made her take it back.
edit: he did however convince her to get the Zagg for it though. Shoulda slapped her for that. Dont bother it just makes things tighter than they need to be and interferes with any dock mounted accessories.
i have the tiniest scratch where the dock connects but its not on the glass, looks the same as the above poster that showed the zoomed in pic. however i do let my 6 year old use my prime all of the time and he removes and attaches the dock a lot.

Last night, just before bedtime, had to "check just one more thing" and as I was about to put it back on the shelf, it slipped from my hand, hit the edge of the shelf and TADAAAA!!!

These 3 cases are awesome, i have found over 50+ high quality lenozo zuk z1 back cover and flip covers for Indian users. - myandroidphone[dot]in/BR6zh
The bumper case causes the home button to act weird. Not sure why. I used it for a day, and when I make a single touch on the home button, it gets double tap and shows recents. I thought the home button was defective, then I removed the armor bumper case and it worked fine.
I think when the bumper is covering the screen on edges, it is applying some pressure which is causing this problem. It could be only with mine too, will wait to see if anyone else has similar issues.
Foso sand finish case is good...using along with foso tempered glass..

HTC U Ultra Glass Screen Protector Thread

Alright, looks like the U Ultra is going to have curved edges, so let’s make a mega thread here for screen protectors. Since the edges are curved, we’re either going to have to make do with the non-full screen, or the protectors with the black borders and dot matrix.
Please leave links in the comments to the protectors that you are buying, and then please leave reviews after you get a chance to apply it. I’ll edit this main post every now and then with good protectors that are proven to work.
Thanks in advance everyone!!
Hi there,
Good idea for a thread.
I received this from a friend in Taiwan.
http://imgur.com/a/dnvgj
It IS full coverage, and has adhesive on the black areas as well as the clear areas. When stuck on well, there is no rainbowing, or other visible artefacts. However, my personal application was not great, I got a speck of dust and a strand of lint so i have 2 air bubbles in those spots.
Fit is pretty good. Cut out for LED and ear piece, and clear windows for the back and multitaks keys. Camera is also covered. Extends to about 1mm from actual edge.
Unfortunately, I havent been able to find this online.
Just bought this.
Will return to you when received

I'm ordering this and will report back if the results are good. This glass screen protector claims to fully cover the device. Too many screen protectors for this device don't cover the screen or completely around the home button

Strange as they shipped me a different brand altogether than the one specified on Amazon listing. It covers everything but only has adhesive on the black areas?? Either way it's not bad for what it is
Here's the bottom piece and it has no bubbles. I'll update later as wear and tear naturally happens. If your looking for full protection and still be case friendly. This is currently the best we have
Hi HTC community. I've just got this phone for Christmas. So far so good.
I'm seeing your opinions about the screen protectors, and I get the impression that the overall quality is alright in several models. But it's been a while since you last posted here and wanted to know if you have changed your mind or you still consider those protectors a good buy.
Thanks in advance!
I also bought the phone recently and this protector is working well for me without affecting colors.

Does anybody know of screen protectors which are not just transparent but have some artwork or fake speaker grills to cover the ugly top and bottom bezels?
i found really good smartphone accessories reviews on this website - https://aaaccessory.com/

Hardware Durability?

I had my Mi A3 (European) for less than a month, and had it in the most protective case I could find. Somehow, the back glass got broken.
Have others found it to be unusually delicate?
I REALLY like the device, otherwise.

May I ask what case you were using?
if it went down or hit it somewhere and touched the sensitive point then it happened.
I am not have any problem with stock silicon case after 2 drops.
I don't like cases in general, but bought some hard shell on Ali just because Mi A3 is like a piece of soap in shower. Already had one drop and so far so good, no cracks no scratches.
It is not that delicate, gorilla glass 5 at the front and back. Something sharp must have hit the phone, impact from a sharp thing can get through the case
That is a very good question. I'm currently running my 2nd Mi A3. Bought my first when it came out in August here , and around the end of october i dropped it from waist height . I was running a case , fairly soft ( little bit harder than the one provided with it) and a tempered glass screen protector . It landed on it's back , no flips at all during the fall. I pick it up , the screen was cracked INTERNALLY ONLY , on the top right corner, while the outside of the phone , including my tempered glass was intact , no scratches at all ....(of course warranty doesn't covers screens, although this crack was a little suspicious due to it's nature ). So, I'm led to thinking that it's durability is a little bit to the down side ....
Sapper Morton said:
It doesn't matter if it is Gorilla Glass 5 or just normal tempered glass, glass is glass and glass breaks; just don't drop it, nonetheless I recommend a good and robust case, I use a shockproof one; a friend of mine, bumped into my phone by accident, hitting a wall, then the ground, not a big impact, however the A3, remained intact.

You misunderstood me......The glass didn't break at all ...not the gront, not the back , not the protector ....the internal amoled panel broke .......from a drop an it's back WITH a case ...so yes, I think it is unusually delicate hahaha
