Pocophone F1 vs Xiaomi Mi 8 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

title says it all, I want a phone for gaming, I don't care about anything else. Cooling solution in Poco make it more appealing, but almost everywhere Mi 8 has higher antutu for some reason

Thermal dissipation is better on Poco, and also is better on oneplus6 comparing to mi 8. Pure for gaming, skip mi 8 and get oneplus 6 or Poco. Poco scores consistently over 290k with stock pie ROM when battery is over 70%.

Buying poco f1

Hey, im looking for new phone and Pocophone F1 looks interesting. But when i read few threads here and on YouTube i have some questions mostly about screen. Is really touch screen and screen quality not good for newest games and movies? Now i have Le Max 2 and screen quality is superb and i haven't problem at all with quality or touch delay, but software and some things are just awful thats why i want to change Phone but not at all cost
I won't buy it until they fix the lag issue.

I'm in the same position as well... looking to get a Poco F1. Currently using a Oneplus One on Lineage OS... so the development community is essential and Poco F1 seems to be a good successor. Tried to jump to the Razer Phone, but as good as the silky smooth 120Hz screen is, the development community is lacking (and it doesn't support exFAT and Apt-X, both of which the Poco F1 has).
Played with the Poco F1 at the Mi Store for like 30min (tried to install gcam with night sight, but for some reason it would freeze up). The main thing holding me back right now is Widevine L1 certification. Once Poco can actually deliver on that, then I think I'll take the plunge.

not everybody has that prob
I also don't have any lag issues with my phone it's fluid and smooth and no problem at all with the hardware, the screen is good and I don't have these touch or bleeding issues .. Just buy a Chinese phone cause all these screen problems arises in these phones made in India due to bad quality control.

Well, you shouldn't bother about screen quality. Its one of the bests that IPS can offer. 720p YouTube videos have the same quality from 540p and XIAOMI alleged is solving this. You can test on YouTube. 480p and 720p videos on 6" screen have no difference.
Hi folks I'm in the market for another device and I'm stuck on the poco F1 or the mi 8 Lite both around my budget of £300 seeing as the 64GB 6GB poco is now £299 I'm obviously thinking it's a better bang for buck with the SD 845 over the mi 8 Lite SD 660 no contest in that department but of course the mi 8 Lite looks a better build smaller notch and generally nicer looking , can't decide weather to go with lower spec CPU with
more premium look of forget looks and have better specs ,,,
What would you do? Tia

By the time your new phone shows signs of wear and scratches or gets covered with screen protector and case, looks are not going to be important. Performance or whatever your main use for the phone is is your main long term importance.
The Poco F1 is £279 on Amazon uk at the moment. I have one of these in an unopened box waiting to be given to me at Christmas.
Black Friday offer of £241 for the Poco F1 in the uk:

Which month mfg? You can check this on the box
Where exactly i can check the manufacturing date on the box?
Check the sticker containing all the phone parameters, the manufacturing date is written in bottom right corner - like "20018 07" in my case.

Better VFM - Poco F1 or Redmi Note 6 Pro?

I do not change phones very often. I have a redmi note 3 for about 3 years now, and I was looking for Mi 8 to launch in India for a possible upgrade. That's not likely to happen, and Redmi Note 7 is not likely to get launched in India for another month (at least). However, my phone has recently developed some issue which makes the display blank out randomly. Once blanked, it doesn't return for a few seconds (and sometimes for a few mins). Further, there is a constant earphone icon (without any earphones connected) which forces me to take all the calls on loudspeaker mode. This could be due to the recent fall (my phone has several scratches dents due to various falls from different heights), and that makes build quality an important consideration. Thus, I need to buy a new phone at the earliest.
A sale is going to start in a couple of days, which is offering Poco F1 (6/64) @ 19K and Redmi Note 6 Pro (4/64) @ 13K. I'm not much of a gamer. My primary phone usage include: browsing quora, and wi-fi hotspot from my 4G network. What I'm additionally looking for is good build quality, good battery life, and decent rear camera.
Based on the above requirement, and your experience, could you please recommend between Poco F1 and Redmi Note 6 Pro?

I would say the build quality is going to be about the same on both phones. The battery life should be a little better on the redmi as it has a lesser chipset, but same size 4000mah battery capacity. As for the camera, id say try and find some comparison shots from both cameras. According to gsm arena, they sound like they have the same cameras, apart from the redmi has a depth sensor lens on the selfie camera. They may use different sensors though?
if you can afford poco f1, then it's a no brainer really.
I guess there is no clear winner here.

Redmi Note 5 vs Mi Mix 2

Please , Help me choose: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 or Mi Mix 2. It deserves the money difference (30%) between the two, comparing especially the quality of the photos and the battery life. I understand that the battery is light for 1 day, without games, but the quality of the photos I have no idea. What do you say to buy? Thank you

So i have just gotten a mi 9 SE should i sell if for pocophone f1 or keep it.

I don't know whether i should sell my mi 9 SE phone for pocophone f1's battery, snapdragon 845 and the custom rom community but the only problems are telling me to keep mi 9 SE is the black light leaks on the pocophone f1 and ghost touches and its plastic build quality especially because the mi 9 SE looks way better and feels better in your hand. Question is should i keep the mi 9 SE or switch to pocophone f1.
Wait for Poco F2/Redmi K20
Sell it and wait for the K20, trust us its a better choice than F1

Note 9 pro or Pro Max?

Hi guys,
I was planning to shift from OnePlus 5 to redmi note 9 but confused which one to go for pro or max? .
- I see max don't have much development !!
- also, there only big difference is camera & obvio price.
Suggestion much appreciated ?
Go for Poco X3 NFC way better. 120hz refresh rate, 240hz touch sampling rate, liquid cooling, stereo speakers, 33w fast charging, SD 732G for almost the same price as Redmi Note 9 pro/max. BTW the choice is yours it up to you
i also vote for poco x3-nfc. better specs with same dimensions with better specced screen for heavy use. only reason i bought this is its is the only one for sale here.
