Play X265 video on Android

Hello
I was wondering if I can play a x265 video on my Lg Stylus 2. Is it possible? You know i'm having some stutter and lag. Other 1080 videos are ok and play nice but x265.... It's really bad.

Youtube wont allow 1080p anymore

Why am i no longer able to watch on the YoutubeApp
1080p videos?
I had never issues before, but unfurtunately, no videos are offering 1080p videos any more.

Youtube with 1440p resolution and Netflix at 1080p (or higher), possible?

Has anyone been able to run youtube videos in 1440p resolution? Atm I only get max. 1080p.
And how about netflix? Atm max. for me is 960x540.
I am running 7.1.2 RR with Shield Blobs and mocha2shield conversion so netflix thinks at least that I have Shield tablet.
For youtube I ofc use the Vanced version via Magisk.
This "issues" are not biggies but I am just curious if I could squeeze some more resolution out of Mi Pad while watching some videos.

Got 1440p to play in YT by enabling vp9 and overriding resolution check.
But video is not smooth but frankly unwatchable slide show.

Someone else is in the same boat as well...
I wonder if it is anymore possible to watch 1440p YT videos with mi pad if YT only offers higher res videos in VP9 codec and Mi pad doesn't have VP9 hw decoding ergo it decodes it with sw and that is why it is jerky-town.

Playing HDR videos via local media? and video playback in general?

Just been reading reviews of this phone and it's sibling the 6.2 and how both have HDR screens but apps like Netflix and YouTube don't let you select the HDR option on videos, but what about local video files such as MKVs through video players such as VLC, MX Player ect. does it properly display the video in HDR as it should look?
I won't link but there are plenty of HDR sample videos to download online in a variety of formats and containers if you are curious and want to test them
Thank you in advance!
