EMUI 9, memory issue - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Since updating to EMUI 9 the system is showing me that I have only like 480MB memory free and when I have to change from one app to another, the first one closes. For example, if I have one tab open in Chrome and I need to change to Gmail, when I come back to Chrome, the tab has to refresh, and same thing if I have to come back to Gmail. So it is impossible to multitask.
I am using the OTA update and I did not do a factory reset.
Do somebody have a similar problem?
Android OS is using almost 4GB and I do not see any other app using a lot of memory.

Apparently Chrome was the cause. I cleared all data for it, and rebooted the phone, and now everything is working again with 3.29GB free memory.

[Q] Some apps keep force closing back to homescreen

Hello again
I been having trouble with my x10 force closing half of my apps i downloaded from the market.
The only ones I had trouble with were the xda app for android, and google voice.
They used to work fine and all the sudden, they would just crash randomly.
I wiped my dalvik cache, fixed permissions, deleted the apps cache, and even tried reinstalling them, all with no luck.
I have 2.1 with jit optimizer v002 enabled along with app2sd.
look your build.prop at system folder and check dalvik.vm.heapsize
exactly at what applications does this happen?
You can change the values of the command described above between 6 and 40.
noted that: the lower the value the faster the mobile phone becomes. smallerapplications run faster but larger applications tend to crash.
the higher the value the less rapid small applications but large applications run better and not crash.
It happens on ESPN Scorecenter, google voice, and it used to happen on the xda app.
Is there a free alternate to Root explorer, as I dont have the money to pay for it.
Some apps keep force closing back to homescreen
I've been having this issue also but, with more applications, most non-stock apps.
I have Samsung Galaxy S I9000, with official Android Froyo (2.2.1).
Basically, almost all of the applications that I have installed from the Market were force closing. Also, several apps seemed to be nonexistent (did not display in my apps list/launcher so there was no way that I know I could launch any of them).
The last time this happened (today) I also realized what I've done that could cause this (?): I turned off my phone and removed the SIM card, and inserted a friend's SIM card, just to check his SIM was OK.
I started thinking that it be because of the FAT filesystem?
Did anyone experience this problem or does someone know how/what could I try to fix this behaviour?

[Q]

good morning, a couple of weeks I have a pretty annoying problem with my Android smartphone.
when I try to load an image of a social network with the relevant app (facebook or twitter) the app crash and restart. I think everything happens when the system attempts to change the images to reduce the weight and to optimize the loading. happens either in the data network via wifi.
it all started and so quite by accident, do not remember doing updates or something. space on the internal memory there is, both on the sdcard0 (onboard memory) that the sdcard1 (sd additional). Use the cyanogenmod 10.1 (Android 4.2.2 jb) downloaded from this forum. I checked and is not a know bug, indeed it would seem only my problem.
I even tried deleting the phone and reinstall everything from scratch, clean rom and only facebook app crashes the same.
this is the log on the facebook app

[Q] Free apps vanished from phone

Hello,
My S3 recently lost every free app (including Google Play Store, Gmail and other built-ins), except the Samsung apps after a reboot. However:
Every paid-for app is still installed and working.
My contacts, photos and other data seem to be intact.
The missing applications are still listed in the application manager, but are lacking their icons and names (e.g. Spotify displays as com.spotify.mobile.android.ui) and display with size 0.00B.
The application manager recognises the amount of cached data for each application.
Any ideas on what might have happened? It's currently running Android 4.3, but I'm not sure when it might have last updated.
Additionally, I don't have an SD card installed, so all the apps were installed on the internal memory. Restarting makes no difference.
Restore your Nandroid backup .
I assume you haven't switched accounts in Google Play. Otherwise switch to first account.
Edit: Or better said; switch to google play account on which you installed your apps
Happened to me once. I lost all non-Sammy apps. Seems there was an issue with GApps.
I just used Odin to reflash the stock ROM.

My smartphone exits suddenly from unibet

Hi!
My smartphone exits suddenly from unibet, both the chrome for mobile browser and from the unibet app. Unibet is a sports betting app.
I have the 4gb ram, 64gb internal.
I talked to the guys from unibet and they don't know anything about this issue.
I have the Android version 9, build number PPKS29.68-16-36-5.
I got the last updates.
I don't remember exactly but I think on other apps too, like Facebook, it exited suddenly.
I cleared even today the cache and the rest of storage memory in the app and it exited more than 3 times today.
