LGV20 H990DS (Indian Variant) Second Screen Notification Issues post Oreo Update - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Got the Oreo update for my LGV20 H990DS in India finally. Installed it and did a factory reset as well.
Have been facing some weird issue w.r.t notifications on second screen since the update.
1.
I have set the notifications setting under General --> Apps & notifications --> Notifications --> Lock Screen --> to 'Show All Notifications'
However under notifications setting of whatsapp (i.e General --> Apps & notifications --> Notifications --> Apps --> WhatsApp --> Group/Message notifications --> Lock screen) I have set 'Hide sensitive notifications only'.
So when a whatsapp message arrives the message is hidden on the lockscreen but appears on the second screen which looks like a bug.
Essentially the second screen also should hide the message and not display the message content.
Please let me know if anyone facing similar issue and if yes any resolution.
2.
Also the text on the second screen used to be colored - red for gmail, green for whatsapp and so on before this update.
Now its all gone.
I dont think LG tested software properly before releasing it.

SOUND&NOTIFICATION--NOTIFICATIONS--LOCK SCREEN
You must turn on on Lock screen "Show all notifications" or "Hide sensitive only". If you choose "Hide all notifications", then you don't have notification icon on second screen like in MM

That's OK. Thank you.
But i don't want to dislay notification on main screen when it's locking. I only want to see notification icon on 2nd screen. How to setting ?
It looks like there's no way to do that in Nougat.
guess LG screwed that one up big time .. I use NILS for Notifications (Lockscreen, Widget) .. have to disable stock-lock-screen-notifications for that. .so now when on nougat u dont even get missed-call icon on 2nd screen, or any other icon from notifications (like new Email)? god i miss the days when there were a simple - even one-coloured - LED present ...
I turned on the notifications on lock screen and tthe second screen started displaying notifications too. You could try that

Same bug any notification and back to home screen
Hello rowbaggie22,
You are not alone I have same kind of trouble : as soon as I get a notification (incoming sms, gmail, huawei mail, launching deezeer ...) my Mate 10 Pro get a black screen for 1 second, refresh the wallpaper and set back to home screen every 5 seconds ! I have to read the message or delete the notification (this work around is not working 100%) or kill tasks to get ride of these bug.
This is very very annoying. This bug appeared since perhaps 2 weeks. The phone was working without this bugs since 1 and 1/2 month.
It seems to be a problem with notifications management, If I disable all there is no problem anymore  ... but that is not a good idea.
Please Huawei give us a patch.
Update of my previuous post : notification bug resolved
Hello,
I managed to get rid of this notifications bug. I reset all notifications to default and installed latest Huawei Mate 10 pro updateBLA-L29 8.0.0.129 (C432).
I don't know if notifications reset was mandatory prior to upgrading but now the notifications are OK and don't set me back to home screen each time
Screen flickering when notifications

Options > Application & Notifications > Applications then choose parameter icon at the bottom
Choose "Special application autorisations" > "Superpose to other applications"
Choose the 3 dot ... at top right of the screen > Reset to Default
(There was an other menu : Choose "Modify system parameters" then the 3 dot icons "..." at top right > "Reset to Default"

Problem with notification settings of some apps

Hey all, I have an issue with the notification settings being limited/not available for some apps. Both Yi Home and Mi Home are missing the option to configure notifications for certain categories and the MIUI settings claim that the apps haven't shown any notifications (see greyed out 'categories' in the first two attachments). If I take i.e. the BlueMail app (third attachment), I have all the default categories available (floating, lock screen, sound, vibration and LED).
What else is weird is that Mi Home does vibrate and activates the LED when a notification is shown, but Yi Home does not do anything, it only shows the notification in the status bar so I no longer get any alerts from my camera unless I unlock the phone and go look for it manually. This is a big problem for me and I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to fix this. I've looked through all the settings and tried everything I can think of but it just seems that MIUI doesn't detect the notifications for some reason.
I just checked the Yi Home app on my Honor 7 and there I do have more options, see attachment. So really not sure whether this is an app bug, OS bug or MIUI bug.
Is there really no one else here that uses either of these apps on the Pocophone to see if he/she has the same problem?

Lock Screen Notifications

How to set up some app sensitive content and show others app notifications on lock screen? i cant find on settings.
It's a "little" hidden
System settings -> Apps & notifications -> Notifications -> Select app with recently shown notifications -> Select notification channel/type (e.g. Gmail - Email) -> Advanced -> change "on lock screen" behavior as desired
or
System settings -> Apps & notifications -> Select app from the list of all apps -> Notifications -> Select notification channel/type (e.g. Gmail - Email) -> Advanced -> change "on lock screen" behavior as desired
Clicking on the notification channel name is not very intuitive as there is already a checkbox.. Took me a while to realize that it offers two functions

What doesn't go where? [emoji846] You will need to be a little more specific.
I have a problem with the notification LED. When a missed SMS arrives or by mail, the LED lights up, but if I have a missed call, the LED is no longer lit. Is this an android bug?

Question Realme GT 5G - a few functionality issues

Hello,
I have been the owner of the Realme GT 5G phone for 2 weeks - it has Andoird 11 (v RMX2202_11_A.11) with realme UI 2.0. I spent hours trying to configure a few things, but I failed. As I didn't get the desired results, I decided to try to find help on the forum.
So, starting from the beginning:
1. I have a problem with the Facebook Messenger app, because when I work in vibration mode, notifications coming from the app are only signaled with a very short and delicate vibration. This vibration lasts for about 1 millisecond, which I can barely feel when I'm holding phone in my hand and expecting the notification. I checked vibration for notifications from other applications and they work properly.
a) I have all notification settings turned on in the Messenger app.
b) In settings -> Sounds and vibrations -> vibration intensity -> the sliders for the vibration with the ring and the vibration with the notification I have set to maximum
c) Battery settings for Messenger app are "optimization off"
When I have ring mode on, the Messenger notifications are properly signaled with a sound.
So what is wrong with vibration pattern for this app? Why the notifications are not properly signaled? What can I do to get normal vibration notification?
2. I have 2 games in "Game space app", version of the app is 4.5.27_6d29cc7_210603.
a) When I'm using app #1 - the Messenger chat bubbles are on top of the app, so I can see them for the entire time <- and that's what I would like to achieve.
b) When I'm using app #2 - the Messenger chat bubbles are hiding under the app #2, so I have to show the navigation bar (swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen), to see chat bubbles on the screen.
In settings for Messenger I have set "Display over other apps" as on.
Which setting is responsible for this feature?
3. Another problem with notifications from some apps (inter alia: Gmail, and game #1).
I'm using original Always On Display mode.
The problem is that some notifications don't come when the phone is locked and Always On Display is working.
Notifications from text messages, calls, facebook messenger or game #2 arrive normal, at the time of their receipt.
But from Gmail or game #1 notifications only arrive when I press the power button and wake up the screen. So when the screen is locked, there are no chances to get notification from those apps. This is silly because notifications are there to notify you of an event when you are not using your phone. But in this case, they only notify when the phone is in use.
a) Battery settings for these apps are "optimization off", "allow auto startup", "allow background activity".
b) In notification settings these apps have all settings on. They can notify everywhere and everytime but that doesn't solve the problem.
What else can I do, to receive these notifications on time?
Thank you for your help
