No magazine unlock option in Menu - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

I just got a Mate 20 Pro and while searching through the settings, I could not find the magazine unlock feature inside the Home screen and wallpaper menu. I only see themes and wallpapers option on top but not the magazine unlock as shown in multiple reviews. Am I missing something? The phone displays a different image everytime I try to unlock it but I don't see the option in the settings which would allow me to select the images I want.
Thanks

This never even worked for me. I have magazine unlock turned on, but I only always get the same pic. I can only switch them manually.

In lockscreen swipe once, then make sure the lock icon in lower left corner is set to unlocked

That's the thing. It's unlocked and seems to be working but I can't find the option in the settings menu from where you can select which images are to be included in the display cycle.

Check home screen settings..

Damn, I can't put up a screenshot from my Google drive otherwise I could've shown how that option is not present at all in the Home screen and wallpapers menu

After update i think the magazine lockscreen settings vanished. As far as I know, the only way to enable or disable it is in the theme settings.

Magazine lockscreen settings are still there:
Settings > Home screen & wallpaper > Magazine unlock

Lock Screen App choices

Ok so on the lockscreen I had it set to phone, Gmail, Messages and Settings. After applying a different skin after the phone icon on the lock screen is missing and I had to add a different app to launch from the lock screen. There is no option to choose phone again and I don't want to have to hard reset to do this over again.
Any ideas?

Really? Use search....this was an issue at launch, If you do the OTA updates it will fix it and add it back in the list of apps to select

[Q] how to change the lock screen for s2 ?

hello guys , i have a question . i would like to change the lock screen, but i don't know how to change. any guys know ?

Widget Locker. The popular most app out there.
(I don't use any 3rd party Lock Screen app.)
Regards.
You mean changing the way it looks? Or the image?
Just so people are aware widget locker looks good but does drain your battery a lot so i just stick with the normal lockscreen.

That I said at least 10 times, but people don't care as they love the app so much
Just flash a ROM that has lockscreens...

If you mean change the image then hit the menu button from the home screen and select "settings"
In the subsequent menu select "Display" then the top menu item "Screen Display". On this menu you will find options to set font size, home screen wallpaper, lock screen wallpaper and lock screen clock position.
Some widgets also offer lock screen custom options.
You can also go to the "Location and Security" menu in the main settings menu for some other options on the lock screen like password or pattern requirements to unlock.
Hope this is of some help.

Does Dashclock not work with pattern? Only with Swipe unlock?

I know that the other Samsung lockscreen widgets only work with Swipe enabled - is Dashclock the same way? Thanks

I just picked up my phone yesterday, and this was one of the first things that I had to figure out. Here are the steps that I took to get it enabled:
Go to Settings > My Device > Lock Screen
Enable the "Multiple widgets" by checking on the box.
Lock the Screen and Unlock it.
You should see the default clock / personalized message still there. Swipe down on the clock/message and you'll see the box expand. At this point, you can swipe within the extended box left and right. Go to a new tab (will have a plus sign). Select DashClock and there you have it. You'll have to move some stuff around if you want it to be your default lock screen.
Took me a little tinkering, but it's almost to where I want it.

So this will only work if Swipe is enabled? I use pattern and find using both Swipe and pattern redundant. I have to perform two actions to unlock my phone then.

Yeah, never understood why that was like that on my old phone. I have swipe currently enabled right now, I honestly haven't tried with any other unlocking method... Hold on...
Swipe seems to be the only Lock Screen that allows for "Multiple Widgets", other security options do not even allow for the option.
The problem I had with dash clock and Nils was that there is a default notification that takes focus built into the lock screen. I have yet to figure out how to remove that notification. I would always have to swipe left to see my dashclock or Nils notifications. Very frustrating.
True. Even after I've deleted all of the extra lock screen windows and made DashClock my primary lock screen, I'll still see the default/stock notifications window.
I'm wondering if it's a Verizon thing, because I've seen videos where the DC messages notification will pull up correctly (and not to the default bulky notification).
I don't know if you ever found a solutionbut, I ended up switching the message app to handcent and the default notification didn't pop up.
So that's an option.

Can anyone recommend a realistic lockscreen weather app? Realistic raindrops...

I seem to remember my Samsung device had a cool looking weather lockscreen where it showed realistic raindrops, clouds, sunshine, etc...
The one that comes with my V10 is not like that at all..
Go to Settings, then 'Lock screen' and tap 'Weather animation' to enable it as it is off by default.

I have it checked but there is no weather animation on my lock screen.

I believe it only shows rain, thunderstorms (lightning animation), and snowfall. At least that's all I've seen. No sunny day animation.
