[VIDEO] Finally Updated SM-G930A to Nougat 7.0 (Oreo 8.0 in Progress) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello,
This guide is only for Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930A) AT&T variant.

Side-story: I bought this phone online for cheaper price but it turned out to be an AT&T unlocked device. So I tried to update but it didn't work, tried several ROMs still failed. However one of the user online shared this ROM and it worked! (unfortunately I forgot his site).
All credits goes to the one who shared this official stock ROM.

Which model to buy for easy rooting?

Hi Everyone,
I have finally decided to get the S6 edge as the prices have fallen within my budget. I want to get an unlocked 64 GB GSM model and root it using pingpong root. Can anyone tell me which variant I should get so that I can root and continue to sideload updates while not losing any features.
Thanks!
I suggest you get the international model SM-G925F.
It is unlocked and has the widest support of the community (I saw kernels only support international models G925F/I for the first few versions, before supporting other variants).
Any idea if I can root it and then update it to the latest firmware (while keeping the root)? Don't need OTA, just any way to do it is fine. I love this phone but it has so many hoops to jump through. I need root for adblocking and also need latest firmware for samsung pay.

Galaxy S6 Edge T-Mobile (unlocked by Provider) Nougat update?

Hello guys!
I recently bought an S6 Edge from one of my friends. It was originally a T-Mobile device, but they asked them to unlock it, and it has been unlocked.
My device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and when I search for System Updates it says "Your software is up to date" meanwhile Android 7.0 Nougat was released in April.
My question is: now my phone runs on T-Mobile's ROM, and which ROM should I install to get Nougat? ROM for XEH (it is for ORIGINALLY UNLOCKED devices) or T-Mobile's ROM? Or it doesn't matter at all?
I'm scared if I install T-Mobile's ROM my phone won't be unlocked anymore.
Thanks for the help!

Need help to update my galaxy s6 edge G925v to android 7 in european multi-language.

Good evening to all and I hope you are well!
I have a problem with my phone,
I recently bought a samsung s6 edge on the internet; the problem is that when I received the phone, I found that its system was tampered with, it is in g925f(european) and yet in the download mode it is written g925V(usa verison).
The phone is in android 5 and I would like to update it to Nougat. if I flash the official G925V version, I might lose network usage and I'd still like to have a multi-language firmware.
I would like to know if it is possible and how to do the same tweak to flash the AP of the G925f in the android 7.
I'm up for complicated tutorials.
thank you.

Sm-n981n to global

Hi frinds
I bought a note 20 korea version
Can i install on it version U1 (unlocked usa)
Br
I tired before, so far you seems only can install third-party rom, or else you gotta stick to the Korean version, but you can root it and delete software that included in the system, I only found sm 9980 version third-party rom, there seem no one made third-party global version for this model so it not possible to flash into global version, honestly i took an entire month flashing and resetting the phone over 20 times now, trust me you can't ( for now ) until someone made a rom for this phone model, but just in case you want to root, you can't use feature that with Samsung like secure folder, Samsung health , and that can't be reverse after root

AT&T S21 SM-G991U unlocked and switched to Verizon, not getting Android 13 update.

Hi,
I have an AT&T S21 5G that I unlocked and now use on Verizon. It works fine but it's stuck on an older version of Android 12. When I check for updates in settings it doesn't show as having any, yet I've read Android 13 was pushed to Verizon already.
Is it because I switched carriers that it wont show any updates? Do I have an option to push Samsung OEM Android 13 to my S21 without losing all my stuff? Am I just stuck with what I have?
I'm just looking for options and some options.
Thank you for your help

Download the latest U/U1 firmware from SamMobile/ Frija and flash with Odin. Make sure you flash HOME_CSC, not CSC as that will wipe data.
Ok, so when I look up the model on SamMobile it only shows up to Android 12, so maybe 13 isn't available for it yet? My software version is AT&T, I wonder if I should push it over to the Verizon latest update even though it's not 13.
