2 meters dash cable? - OnePlus 6T Accessories

I am surprised to see that I need an original onplus cable to enjoy dash charging, the one that came with my op6t is the usual 1m which is short for my installation. The electricity socket being far from my desk I need a 2 meters cable like the one I always used but dash compatible. Where can I find one?

I just bought the following cable and Dash Charge works perfectly: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07LBR54RD/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_XO8nCbB02GB5G

2 prong extension cable, $1 at the dollar store. Problem solved.

Not any usb cable will give dash speed, my non dash usb cable only gives me QC2 speed equivalent when plugged to the dash charger

$12 for 2 pack, each is just over 6ft. Using ampere app these cords charge at roughly 3200 which is identical to the OEM cord included w\phone.

Long USB Cable that works with Dash Charging?
Greetings All,
Can anyone recommend a long usb cable, at least 2m, that works with Dash charging?
Thanks

Been using these forever now, 6ft nylon braided and it DOES support dash chsrge. Phone makes noise and lightning bolt flashes when plugged in.

The 2m cable that I bought last year for the 6t is starting to go wacko, it will show warp on my 7 pro but it won't charge in warp speed, I bought the one in the last link, I will see if it will charge as fast as stock cable

Portapow make one:
www dot portablepowersupplies dot co dot uk/portapow-20awg-fast-charge-sync-micro-usb-cable/
Not available on there yet, but they are on Amazon US: Search for PortaPow Specialised 3.3ft 20AWG Charge Only Micro USB Cable for Blackberry, or item code B00RL68RNS
(Sorry about the url formatting - I'm too new to be able to post them)
If the Cable does Charge ONLY, then it wont work for QC charging......QC charging requires the cable to have both power and data.....
I've been using mono price premium cables. Turbo charger charges noticeably faster then a standard charger. Never compared vs the stock cable
I have been using these by media bridge. Have had them for a while, before I had my nexus. Works great and nice quality, seems to charge as fast if not faster.

I'm using an extra cable from a GS4 wall charger. They are long. Don't know why nexus devices ship with such short cables.
Edit: official Samsung GS4 wall chargers are on amazon for like 9 dollars.

Anker hands down is the best and it has a warranty and customer service to back it. Not all cables are created equal.

I picked up one of the anker ones and i am impressed with its build quality! I cant really tell if it charges at the same rate as the stock cable, but it doesnt feel terribly slow or extremely fast. Im very happy with it though!
I second Anker. I have two 5ft and work just fine with quick charger.
interesting...I always thought that the QC ability came from the wall connector..not the actual cable. I used regular plain jane cables with my QC wall adapter, and they worked just as well as the one that came with the phone...hrmm

It's built into the phone and the charger. The cable has little to do with it. Other than that all of the pins must be connected, no charge-only cables. The device and charger have to agree on the voltage, and they talk over the data pins to do that. That way, the QC chargers don't destroy devices that can't handle the extra voltage. The thicker power wires have a lower voltage drop, which is nice, and very important for non-QC devices. For QC it's less important, but if they are available, get them. I happened to already have the ones I'm using, so I tried them. They work great.
I'm using a 5' cable from amazon (bought a while ago) and a 5' extension cable from an old USB WiFi adapter I think. Quick charge still shows up and charges real fast.

Extended charging cable

Hi
Sorry if this is a repost but I couldn't find answer anywhere.
I am looking to get a 3m cable to charge my Note3, the extension cables I have tried have varied in success, I have 1 that works well and is fast but the wife has claimed it and I can't find where I got it from.
I am happy to use the supplied plug, extension (e meters) and OEM cable or the supplied plug and a complete USB to USB 3.0 micro B cable (3meters). Does anyone know of a tried an tested 3 meter cable that offers a good charging time?
Also, does the USB 3 micro B cable charge faster than a standard USB to micro USB cable? I know the transfer rate is quicker just not sure if the charge/power rate is better?
Any help appreciated.

The charging rate is the same. The difference is in the carrying capacity of the cable (the cable rating). If the port you're using can output enough Amps to make charging faster (the stock wall charger is 2.1 Amp), you also need a good cable to go along. The cable that comes with the phone is able to sustain 2A charging rates. But if you're buying a 3rd party cable, check the Amp rating. USB 2 or 3 won't matter if the cable can only sustain 1A current flow. This purports to be able to carry 2.1 Amps... http://www.amazon.com/Hi-mobiler-Hi-Speed-Gold-Plated-Connectors-Smartphone/dp/B00TCBTFYK
Thanks for the response, the information is good to have. Unfortunately this item doesn't ship to Scotland but now I know what spec details I'm looking for.

I have 2 of these 3 meter Mediabridge USB 2.0 cables I really like. They're rated for at least 2.5 amps.
Sorry but I can't post links yet since I don't post often. Below is the info though.
Mediabridge USB 2.0 - Micro-USB to USB Cable (10 Feet) - High-Speed A Male to Micro B
Amazon ASIN: B00CTUIT20
Item model number: 30-004-10B
You might try this 10' 24/28GA USB cable from monoprice ($1.46) There's a 15' one, too, costs a whole 0.50 more.
The issue with long cables is that, if you use thin conductors, there's a voltage drop (resistance drops voltage), which can reduce charge speed or even put you out of USB spec. These cables use thicker conductors to carry current.
Don't let the prices fool you; monoprice cables are pretty decent.
Thanks for all the answers and advice. One of the cables was £90! The others don't deliver to Scotland

Thats about £86 more than I paid per cable.
I saw this one on Amazon UK for £5.99. In the customer Q & A section someone said it delivered a full 2 amps.
Item model number: AK-A7105011
ASIN: B00MM0M6SU
Like the look of them RylanM, thanks
They do a braided nylon option which would really suit my needs.
Poor reviews on the springs on the micro USB end though which surprises me with anker

I posted the following yesterday but it didn't seem to be here today....
I used an app called ' Galaxy charging current' to check the current being delivered. I found the following.
Always using the supplied OEM 3pin plug.
1. OEM cable only = 1200mA
2. 3m USB extension and OEM cable = 650mA
3. 3m braided USB to micro USB = 850mA
I'm going to test my wireless charger at work tomorrow.

I bought both the 3ft and 10ft red braided cables on the 29th of may, used them almost daily since (10ft for sure, 3ft I only use in the car so not as often) and I've got no issues with the retaining pins. In fact they're bloody stiff, they fit in my Nexus 7's loose USB port (dropped it with a cable plugged in, ruined the cable, loosened the USB port) as if there's no issue at all.
Also got the 6ft non-braided one for a mate (he doesn't have Prime) on the 29th of March and I haven't heard him complain about it at all. It may just be a bad batch with failing pins.
If you want any pics/info on the red braided cables feel free to ask.
Have you checked amazon? Compare prices to ebay

Any idea why is this cable listed as unsuitable for Oneplus 3 (5) ?

I want to buy a cable for charging Oneplus 5 (well today man need more charging cables - in car, home, work ...). And I looked at description for this Anker cable. There is written "Nicht kompatibel" (unsuitable) for Oneplus 3. Why?
And Oneplus 3 uses the same cable as Oneplus 5 ...
Probably cos it's not a dash charge cable
Is DASH cable:
1. Something special and is needed OR
2. maybe DASH charging depends only on charger, if good cable is connected?
Tnx.
I believe these cables are legit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K43UTWG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Recommended non OnePlus wall chargers and cables

I've been using Anker products without problems with my Samsung phones, and I'm wondering if they, or another brand, are recommended for use with OnePlus phones. Any feedback is welcome.

my spare/extra charger is my axon 7 (sd820 ver of qc) charger and an anker cable. their cables are great. also, they have a two year warranty iirc. ive been happy with all 5 various cables i have bought from them.
Any charger will work but not as Fast like OnePlus. I have 1 charger, 2 cables (1 is plug in charger, 1 in my laptop). I buy from China big stores (cheeper)& from my country forums for sales (fast receive).
iMangoo OnePlus 6T Dash Charging Charger US Plug
The iMangoo OnePlus 6T Dash Charging Charger US Plug gets 2700-3000 / 3400 mA at half the price of the official dash charger and cable. The cable is braided and folds easily. I rather have 2 of these ($18.19 per) for the same price as the official with a loss of 400-700 mA when below 70% full.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DZLM1FC
The AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB-A Male 3.1 Gen2 Adapter Charger Cable using the iMangoo charger gets the same speed. This cable is not as flexible, but works great at a permanent computer desk for fast file transfer. $7 open boxed.

Wall and Car chargers

Has anyone found car chargers that you would recommend? I ordered one from amazon that said it is compatible with Pixel 4a, although it does not activate rapid charging, so its going back.
My Ideal car charger would be: High quality PD rapid charge with USB-C coiled cord attached and extra USB-A port.

Bought this one a year ago for my 3a, still working great. Works fine on 4a also.

I bought this one last month for my car. You need to make sure when buying that they support PD. This one rapid charged both my 3a and the 4a. Luckily for me I have both power adapters from the 3a and 4a so one stays in my 'go bag'.

I also bought this set of cables which supports PD. Good cables.

Some years back I grabbed this Nekteck for my Pixel XL, and it has worked flawlessly in a variety of vehicles:
https://smile.amazon.com/Charger-Ne...keywords=nektek+charger&qid=1598622655&sr=8-8
They now also make one with a removable cord:

This works great with my 2xl should be good for my 4a in 13 days.

I've always had a good experience with Anker products. This one checks 2 of your 3 requirements.

Or, since the 4a will only draw 18w max, save a few bucks and go with this one:

Just looking for a longer cord. What's odd is my OnePlus 5t charger or usb-c cord do not charge my 4a. Nor does my usb-c cord with the 4a c-adaptor on one end work with the 4a charger.

USB PD will be best. I use UGreen charger with USB PD and it's charging my Pixel as fast as the original socket charger.
