Have a pic here, but dont look good with the silver color, think the black one will do it instead.

I hear that using glass protector on lens while using flash will result in shady photo, can u test that ?

I don't have any complain at all [emoji1303]

Look at the area below the flash under strong light. You can see two tiny holes. That's the laser autofocus.

You are right. God dam it. How can they sell stuff with such obvious deficiency? And besides the cover is mounted real tight not to mention the sticky tape. It's gonna be really hard to remove it without trace or damage.

I use this aluminium protections but after 2 min i took them off. It add weight and thickness to the phone, not to mention that they are not case friendly at all ! My case could not be in perfect place because of this cr..p ! I took it off and install again the Tempered Glass Transparent Foil. Trust me, it looks much more better and protect the camera way better than aluminium covers. Cheers

I bought my carbon fiber skin from xtremeskins and it came with the camera skin and has the laser holes. You can even get a fingerprint skin. They ship globally.

I ordered Skins from them as well.
In the beginning of the launch of the phone, there were basically no camera glass protectors.
there was that one where the glass covered all the cameras, and left a hole cut out for the flash, which made no sense.
then those Covers came out, and I didn't like the design of them at all. Far too chunky, hole cut outs for the cameras seemed too small, and like a previous user mentioned, were MISSING cut outs for the laser/sensor. Also taking OFF this cover seemed like it would damage the housing. was a no thanks for me as well.
Finally, xtremeskins came out with Skins for the Mate 20 X couple months back.
I ordered the Clear Matte; Back and Camera Protector from them.
Took about 2 weeks from their place in UK to Canada.
Attached some pics, the fitment/clearance of the cuts are much better than anything on Aliexpress and Ebay. Trust me, I've been using those crappy ones until I got these.
The worst/ most inaccurate cut out for the Skins that came to me is the Fingerprint cut out. but its not that bad.
Hope this helps.

Weird. What colour is that? Doesn't look like the normal blue.
Anyway, I have seen that alot but on the white S2, which had a similar type cover as the S3. Like the paint and / or clear coating had cracked.
Fyi, I have seen the original battery covers / doors on eBay for around $15.

Definitely looks like the paint/glaze is cracking, not surprising considering the flexibility of it....what I can't understand is why they color it after rather than incorporating the color in the moulding process?

It's not my phone, but the owner who took the pictures edited them so the "cracks"(?) would show more easily. It is only possible to picture it with blitz in a specific angle.
Tried bending my cover but I can't get the same "cracks".

The thing I really loved about the S2 was the textured back cover on the black model. Practically impossible to scratch, as opposed to the white which scratched easily and also had cracking on the paintwork as shown in your pics.
Seems like the S3's are going to suffer the same fate. Like I mentioned earlier, I saw this quite alot on the white S2. Good thing replacements are cheap.

-the "A" in SAMSUNG is almost dead
-the metallic shape of the camera lens is scratched

Looks like chemical cracking
"Tried bending my cover but I can't get the same "cracks"."
If you want to have the same cracks in the cover bending won't help. There is no varnish on the backcover of the Polycarmonate backcover.
I I yould see those cracks unter the microskope I would be sure, but on the first view it looks like chemical induced stress cracking.
It would be interesting what type of cleaners have been used on that back cover. Or did he try to clean the backcover in the dishwascher?
Some alcohols (like isopropanol as used in glass cleaners) and perfume oils even some spices damage polycarbonate.
You can google that (Polycarbonate and stress cracking). That is fairly common with that material.
If you want to be sure not to get such cracks keep to a moist microfiber cloth for cleaning
Looks like someone stepped on the back cover or whole phone, what gave it away is the A in Samsung almost completely missing, so the owner did something to it
I have the same straches like that on new out of the box white one model. If someone want i will putt pictures to see

Bear motion bumper

So I ordered Off amazon this bumper that Was only 8 dollars I will review when it comes in. Does anyone have experience with this case? Seems like a great deal. Plus it keeps slim and shows off the back which I want.
I also bought this one. Mine is arriving 11/01
I was checking it out earlier today actually. Would like to hear from a couple people from here before buying one myself though. Please post pics and your thoughts when it arrives!

I just received mine and it's nice. The only thing I don't like about it, is the power button. You have to press it extra hard to activate it. The volume buttons are perfect though.
I have a glass screen protector on and it fits fine with it. I also have the samsung wireless charging cover, and it fits perfectly with it.

Sorry, I don't have a camera to take a picture of it at the moment.
The screen protector is the INVELLOP tempered glass, but I don't recommend this screen protector as they didn't cut the glass correctly. You have to angle the protector a bit to the right, or else it will kind of block the front facing camera. Once you do that though, it's not noticeable.
Got mine in. It's the same replica as the poetic bumper. It's sick though. Idk who's copying who but I love this thing. Can't wait to get my glass too.

Got mine too, very happy with it so far. The power button is a little stiff but I guess they designed it that way so you don't accidentally press the power button when it's in your pants.
some reerixi
The bumper will also work just fine with the Samsung Qi charging back.
Shipping to Europe
I wish I could find an online store selling it, and shipping it to Europe (France actually).
If somebody found that please let me know

I have had mine for about a week and a half now. The power button loosens up after about a week and it is much easier to press. Also, pay attention to take it off and clean underneath. After a week the backside of the bumper had trapped lots of "dirt". I normally would not care but the silver trim around the sides scuffed/scratched on my Note 2 due to this. Was minor but still annoying.

Sorry, it is dark here so the lighting is bad. The case fits great, all ports line up perfectly. There is enough of a lip on the front to lay face down with no issues. There is also enough on the back to clear the camera lens, but barely. Overall we'll worth the money and looks great.

Does this case screw on? I personally dont like the ones that do because in the case of needing to do a battery pull you're stuck without the little screwdriver. I like these ones if you're looking for Carbon fiber look and they cont screw together.

These fineday one's are push button to open the back cover, the button is located near the headset socket, you can get them with carbon fibra, glass or leather.

I originally had the all aluminum case which i loved the look silver back and black sides but i had alot of signal loss so i grabbed the Neo hybrid case which was great with no signal loss and wireless charging worked great. I forgot when i ordered the alum i also order the glass backed Faraday version. I got that this weekend and even though i dont get any signal loss when using it i do have issues while wirelessly charging. It will start the charge than after a few seconds it will flicker a few times than turn off. I can confirm the wireless charge does work fine in the Neo or if i remove the glass back before putting it on the charge.... Does anyone else have this problem.
I have the aluminum brown leather back, and can confirm the wireless charging works without any problems, no need to remove the back cover.
Do you have any pictures how it looks??

Camera lens scratched already

I've had the phone since April 1st and I've been very happy with it, however i just noticed that my camera's cover in the back is already scratched in two places. I have had a case on the phone since day one and I've been very careful with the phone... I'm very disappointed and annoyed that this got scratched up so easily! Has anyone had this happen to them or tested it in a review? Otherwise I like the phone, just seems like very cheap material in the back.
Is there any protector that i can buy to cover the camera that will not effect image quality?
Just found this thread while searching about the scratching, as I just saw scratches on my LED on the rear. I really don't have scratches on the camera lenses themselves, but I see it on the LED. At first I thought it was a piece of forgotten plastic covering, but after carefully picking at the edge of it with a razor blade, it wasn't coming off.
Not sure about some sort of cover for it other than a universal, cut-it-yourself screen protector. Just cut it to fit and install it?
You can get circle glass protector which covers just the lens, I actually have these, or you can get some PET ones that covers the whole camera area.

I changed the lense on my g3 numerous times due to scratching easily, buy them on eBay real cheap, some oem, some not. I'm not seeing parts for the g5 yet and the lense doesn't appear to be changed out as easily as previous LG phones.

I went with this one off the Australian EBay site:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141966665617
The seller confirmed they all come with a plastic lens protector.
Guys, start using Aliexpress. I stopped using eBay when I first tried AliExpress..few years ago. And I order weekly.
Anyway, haven't tried them but I think I will:

Just 4.7$ for 3 pieces if you order from the mobile app.

Those are useless, they don't stay on, if you are using them for the G2, G3, G4 or the V10, they work well, but not the G5, otherwise I would of used them.

How do you know? Never had issues with tempered glass. How do you know it wont stick? Also..if it doesnt work you can always open a dispute and get your money back.

Anyone tried these two ?

Apparently they are full coverage and full adhesive, feedback from those who applied it would be nice.

Yes, these two I linked are supposed to be full edge to edge and adhesive.

What a rip off LOL. I have bought these from Aliexpress last year and yes, they are Full Coverage Adhesive Tempered Glass. Wanna know how much i paid ? 1.50 $ /pcs )))))
I honestly wait 2-3 weeks for a product to arrive rather than pay double or even 3 times his price... Cheers

I'll take that on board. Only the Mofi seller responded back saying his or hers was full adhesive.
Have your tried the Mocoll one? I have that currently per my other post on here. The glass is very good quality but cut short top and bottom. Have you tried the Mocoll one? It would have been amazing if it wasn't cut short top and bottom.

Well the Mocoll one did its job, only the second time I've every dropped a phone in my life. It landed face down from only 1 feet but was on uneven concrete ground and using the supplied Huawei clear case that doesn't have any edge protection.

Bought this one now, it's ok, fully coverage but the oleophobic protection is non existent( grease magnet) on this compared to the Mocoll. Isn't compatible with the supplied Mate 20x clear case . The Mocoll one would have been the best if it was full coverage, much heavier also.

Installed the Beukei screen protector, 2 pack was less than half price of the one Mocoll. But the Mocoll definitely felt thicker and heavier with better oleophobic coating. However the Beukei one gives you better coverage, so much so that it won't work with the factory clear mate 20x supplied case. View attachment 4928803

Hi mate, i did not enter on this forum in the last time... I did not try the Mocoll, in fact i still have the same screen protectors on both phones since day 1 when i bought them... As these are not my daily drivers phones, i did not care that much to change the Screen Protectors on them.
Those i have now offer full coverage... basically it's 99% the same as yours ( Beukei ) or whatever they call it.. I've seen so many Tempred Glass ( the same ) under different names.. which one to belive now ? )
I got 4 pcs from Aliexpress back in time and still have 2 pcs as backup...
PS : My daily driver is a Redmi 8 with 5000Mah battery... close competitor to Mate 20 X in terms on battery life i would say... I might do a comparision Youtube video just for my curiosity... ?

Good to hear from you. That video would be great , thanks.
Yes, those full coverage tempered ones are all similar, except some even from the same brand have thicker black borders at the bottom and around the notch.
Example the Beukei two pack, from same package, one had a bigger chin border by approx 1mm and also a more black border around notch. Seems like variances in manufacturing is not that tight. My favorite was Mocoll but I didn't like the gaps in the four corners.
