After loading lineage OS 14.1 vince (for redmi 5 plus) and open_gapps (stock) with TWRP, the camera doesn't work anymore (the app stops or blocks without showing any image), and same thing for the other camera appps I could load from google play. Duo makes the face camera working but that's all.
It doesn't come from the camera itself, I came back to the MI OS (10.0) with whick the camera was this time working.
i tried th load (by titanium) the original app working on MI (appareil photo 2.0), but it is not compatible with lineage OS)
are there some additionnal libraries to load ?
without correction, I will use other OS

First of all that some devices have similar specs doesn´t mean that roms should be totally compatible nor inter-flashables between them.
Never you have to flash a rom for other device as it is cause risk to brick your device is too high.
Although this if you want experiment you can flash it but ever respecting some rules like; never flash other kernel (that is in the boot image) and never any files that usually contains firmware folder.
You have to replace the boot from your device in a first attempt and if it doesn´t boot you need to at least port it but definitely in this case is very probably that this rom boots but after then you should have to solve (in some case not all of these) many issues/bugs like wifi, bluetooth, sound, camera, sdcard detect, virtual buttons, etc.
So for me no sense now, development for this device is really very good, there are a lot of aosp stock rom based working fine, of course none better than stock miui based cause was builded specifically for this device.
On every custom rom i tried (LineageOS 16, crDroid 8.1 / 9.0, Arrow 9.0, AOSPExtended 6.0) i only can access the front camera.
There is no option for switching to the back camera (the main camera).
Change to another camera app also doesn't help.
So it is not related to a special rom.
Does anybody know where to search for the issue?
One of the strengths of stock Emui 4 rom on Honor 5x is its camera and specially its beautiful filters. Is there any ported app to install on android 9 custom roms like lineage 16, AOSiP, crDroid, Arrow etc? I tested an old ported camera, but it doesnt work on android 9 custom roms. If there is not any ported stock camera, can anyone give me an advice to install a good camera app (like emui's camera) on my honor 5x with android 9 custom rom?
I recently installed lineage os and when i tried the parrot gcam that i used before (on stock and pixel experience) it crashes immediately , so i installed Urnyx gcam but I don't like it and it crashes when i try the wide camera lens,

I need a good camera app that supports macro, portrait,and can shoot at my full mega pixel(48mp back, 24mp front)
How it started;
I managed to flash derpfest android 13 unofficial rom but the camera app is really basic and lacks the above mentioned features so i decided to go back to my stock rom
I backed up my stock camera then i reflashed the gsi but on installing the camera app it keeps crashing
I tried many gcams and some other apps but they crashed too
I later managed to find out my device doesn't support camera2api which is required for gcam
I just need a way to make my stock camera app work on this new rom
