Android 9 Huawei P Smart (2018) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here's a thing... I always prefered stock Android over any other skins but I
actually liked MIUI 10.
Now I use the Huawei P Smart and EMUl is not
my style and I was planning on installing a custom rom just like I did
to my Xiaomi Redmi 5a (Pixel Experience Android 9.0) but then I realized
that the unlocking codes are now paid and I don't wanna pay so much just
to do this...
So my question is "ls there any way I can have Android 9 on my Huawei
with Google apps instead of Huawei apps???"
Recently I used ADB to remove some apps from Huawei and use the
Google apps but everything looks like is essential for other app that is
essential to other app etc and it becomes impossible to do something
that works the way I want using ADB. (I uninstalled an app and my phone just needed to be resetted)
So... Please help me…
Is there anyway I can get the Pixel Android 9 Experience on my P Smart?? For free

Can I root and install stock andriod on Huawei mate 10 pro ?

Hi I've got the Huawei mate 10 pro as a gift last month and I'm not liking the phone so much as it's slow and crashes a lot compared to my oneplus 5 and pixel xl
so I like my andriod close to pure stock without any software add on's like MUI or Touchwiz if you know what i means ? and I'm stuck with this phone and can't just not use it as it a gift from a very close person ......
is there any why to root and install stock Oreo or even Nougat ???
Thanks
You can install the TREBLE AOSP system.img but the brightness adjustment doesn't work.
Also before install it be ready for how to become again stock, else you will end to pay 50 euros to FunkyHuawei for the unbrick tool.
My opinion? WAIT.

Build AOSP ROM for Huawei P20 Lite

Hello,
I bought a Huawei P20 Lite to replace my Google Nexus 5 out of order.
With my Nexus 5, I built my own pure AOSP ROM from AOSP source
by myself (it is easy to do with Google smartphone).
I don't like Huawei Android interface, and I would like build by myself
pure AOSP ROM like my Nexus 5, but it seems to be more difficult.
I have some questions:
- How to unlock bootloader ?
- How to root the smartphone ?
- Where can I find drivers binaries ?
for Nexus it is on Google developers site.
If somebody can help me, thank you by advance.
You can only unlock using a 3rd party service as Huawei don't give out boot loader codes any more. You can find a guide in this forum.
Once unlocked you can install Magisk via twrp. Again guides are available.
Binaries for device drivers are installed as part of hi suite. This you can get from the Huawei website. As far as I know it's windows only.

I'm new please don't curse me out.. Huawei question here

Hey guys I have a Huawei mate se running emui 8 and wanted to know if it's possible to change the emoji to more recent emoji like android 9 or android 10 emoji without root or possibly using the Huawei tweaker app?

Which are the most stable and bug free android 9 and android 10 roms for realme 3 pro

i recently rooted my phone trying to install viper4android which just wouldn't work on my android 10 stock rom no matter the workaround. so i was thinking of going for a stock rom for the first time. most threads on roms don't have many bugs listed unless you search through comments where it gets kinda confusing. so if you have any experience with custom roms on realme 3 pro, you can help a guy in need . i also included android 9 because viper4andoid is apparently easier installed on android 9 than 10.
I would say pixel experience but the dev announced that he is dropping support
