Icon Animation not working - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

hellooo
i have problem with pocophone theme
if you choose pocophone theme, animation for the icons (even system icons) when you go back to home screen wont work and somehow just does a fast blink. please notice that i mean icon animation not open/close or any other animations.
for classic and classical themes, system icons does have their own animations but other icons still a blink.
have you experienced this issue?
many thanks for sharing your opinions in advance.

i have the same issue

Known bug!!

This bug has been present since the release of the phone, as far as I know it affects the devices with model name 'POCOPHONE F1' and doesn't effect device with the model name 'POCO F1'. This bug was one of the many reasons why I switched to Lineage OS 16, it's a shame Xiaomi still haven't fixed it after 3-4 months.

Android Q - Discussion Thread

The beta version of Android Q is out for Realme 3 Pro.
General discussion and bugs thread.
p.s. The update brings pure stock Android, not ColorOs skinned Android Q.

Screenshots
Just updated and downgraded, as there are a series of bugs straight off the cuff:
SIM didn't connect (Vodafone IN)
The alignment is not uniform throughout the OS
Screen Lock doesn't work (apart from Swipe - no pattern, no PIN, no password, thus no Smart Lock)
Dark Mode is inconsistent - it is dark grey on some pages, pure black at some and stark white at some.
Now the good things:
Animations are a major overhaul - feels much smoother and fluid
Lot of under the hood improvements in privacy, location and settings page
Notification tray has been changed a bit (slightly buggy)
And a lot more...!
Attaching screenshots
P.S. Far from a daily driver
Didnt flash the beta as of yet due to the major bugs but I am really looking forward to get rid of color os! Hope we get the major bugs resolved in the next beta update .
Just a small question to anyone who installed this .. I heard someone saying that VOOC charging is not supported. I always thought this was a hardware thing and not a software thing . So can someone test this and let us know?
Regards,
Do they provide weekly updates with improvements?

Nope, They have a schedule of theirs, of releasing betas, but yes if devs at android think, they can rollout patch to sort out major bugs . But next beta is schduled to june 1st week
I want to buy realme 3 pro. But I'm confused about one thing. Suppose i buy the phone now and use it on color os and when Android q beta improves. And when Android q stable or at least beta 4 (stable) comes out can i then flash the Android q over color os?
Yes you can

Wifi, Calls and Xiaomi Parts not working, when installing a custom ROM.

Hello everyone, I am not a really experienced ROM user/rooter. Two months ago, I tried installing my first ROM to my Mi 8 Lite, Havoc OS. Everything worked great, until I noticed, that Wifi is not working. I also noticed calls are not functioning as well, because when I try to start one, my phone freezes, and I have to restart it. Also a message kept popping up, saying that Xiaomi Parts crashed.
I thought that it's a problem with the Havoc OS Mi 8 Lite port, so I tried installing RR OS as well. The Wifi worked on this one, but calls still froze the phone.
I have no idea what I have done wrong. Some people told me that it is probably a firmware bug, but I don't really know what I can do to fix that.
I really want to switch to an AOSP ROM, because I just purely hate MIUI, the only good thing about it for me, is the gesture navigation, but we'll get an even better in Android Q, once AOSP for q releases, so I really don't mind switching.
Can someone please help me figuring out this problem?

Havoc OS is a little odd. You need to be on stable miui firmware to flash rom. After rom flash latest dev firmware. All should be fine after that. Also with havoc you can use multiple gesture styles. Plus if you add the nav bar toggle in qs you can use both. Enable gestures then toggle nav bar.

Yes, thank you, someone also told me to flash another firmware.
And about the gesture, I know I can use them in havoc, but the problem with them is that they don't have natural animations.

You have to wait .
Xiaomi and androidone is disaster.
All of the users with android 11 have many problems after the brick version.
So xiaomi is useless.
Updated it today morning, everything looks and working fine to me. Sometimes the recent apps get stuck on the screen, not that big of an issue and I hate the new notification style, and Whatsapp notifications too, takes up half the screen gets very annoying sometimes.

I'm from Brazil and updated to Android 11 today.
This update has many features missing and some bugs:
- Excessive battery drain;
- Slow charge;
- Power menu controls missing;
- No native screen recording;
- Chat Bubbles not working;
- No wifi calling...
Xiaomi send us a 1,4 Gb package just to change some screen transitions...

I agree that some of the features are missing, but battery and charging is fine on my device. Hopefully we will get the missing features in next update.
Chat bubbles are working on some devices. Besides after an OS upgrade, always do a factory reset. Some issues should be solved,
Bluetooth is choppy, anyone else having the same problem ?

MIUI 12.5 China Stable Beta

Hello, Just seen that MIUI 12.5 Stable Beta has been released!
Here is a link for the recovery ROM: https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.5.1.0.QEACNXM/miui_MI8_V12.5.1.0.QEACNXM_8e708da17d_10.0.zip
Here are some benchmarks from antutu and geekbench for anyone interested.
Also, it's unfortunately running Android 10 but that was to be expected, Also the security patch is from December last year.
How the battery backup and smoothness can share thanks in advance
I've installed xiaomi.eu version and it does not feel like miui 12.5, at least not the new visual changes, control center, recent apps, volume sliders and etc

Yeah, it seems to be missing a lot of the 12.5 features. Maybe they will be added when it's released.
Just submit bugs and suggestions using the included app and hopefully it will be fixed before release
Smart Home controls in Control centre are still missing, when searching in settings it comes up in the list but the options for it aren't actually available.
I have submitted it as a bug in the feedback app. The more people that submit the bug the higher chance it will get fixed.
To me it seems that they just released a very much partial and bare minimum miui 12.5 to our phones and it was intended like this, in other words, they just wanted to satisfy the requests that they got for miui 12.5 for mi8.
Also security patch of December 2020? I mean wtf... Why even bother releasing something like this?
I have just found out that it's quite easy to get the new MIUI 12.5 volume controls to work on this device.
It's pretty much as simple as installing an APK! The only thing is you need root and SAI to install it to bypass the unofficial channel error.
Which basically like @CarlosGilberto said they are doing the bare minimum! It's literally just an APK to get new audio controls why on earth did they not include it?????
Anyway, here's a link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaomi-inc/systemui-controls/ Just download the latest one and use SAI in Root mode to install.
How to install this? I'm currently on PE plus android 10 with orange fox twrp.. Should I format data?

Question ColorOS 13 update - Screen Layout of both screens.

Has anyone updated to ColorOS13? I am loving the phone, but the layout limit of 5x5 is killing me. Also because you have to have the same home screen on both screens it the biggest inconvenience.
I hope they have changed that in the new ColorOs, so I'm just wondering to hear from anyone who has updated.
Also please advise whether VoLTE works again.
Just bought my Find N - such an awesome phone, it's a shame that VoLTE is disabled on recent updates.
I am also looking for Volte Support on oppo find N
Color OS 13 Update was made available to me via the Beta trial notification tonight (Nov.9 2022).
Downloading as we speak. You all should check your device update via the Trial.
No different layout
No VolTe
sorry

Thanks too bad. Sucks.
VolTE was enabled under my carrier. Before that option wasn't there.
