Anyone have a copy of Total Benchmark 2011? - The Best Apps You've Never Heard of

Ok, so I got to know about this app when I was watching some old phone reviews on YouTube. It looked cool. I cannot, no matter how much I search, even with the most powerful and uncensored/obscure/offbrand search engines I cannot find a working download link. This irritates me alot. If any of you have an old device which might have Total Benchmark 2011 installed on it, could you extract it and post it here. I have wasted many, many, many hours trying to find a download link to no avail. I am desperate. I'd like to preserve this app on the Internet Archive.

[Q] 32gb downgraded to 16gb

I have a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100
i flashed it using Odin to XXKL1 a few weeks back...
A few days ago I was transfering some files to my computer when I realized that the storage capacity is 11.5gb...
I tried
1. formatting from the Settings/Storage/format USB Storage
2. Home+Power+Volume Up Delete User Data
3. I flashed back JPKH1 but no change
I can't find a solution and I'm desperate...
Is there a way I can get back to the original state?
That reads like its the 16GB model .
jje
You need to flash the correct pit file for the 32gb model and tick repartition. Do that when flashing the firmware.
But I'm not sure where to get the pit file. Google will help for that.

Your reply was very helpfull; thank you; at least now I know what happened.
google was no help, could you please help me further?

You didn't search very hard then. From my quick look, you need GT-I9100_EXT4_32G.pit which I found here.
I take absolutely no responsibility for any damage caused by using this as I cannot verify its authenticity

How did you go? Remember in Odin enter the pit file in the pit section (from above post), tick repartition, enter your firmware in the correct section/s and flash. Pretty sure you know how to do it anyway but just in case.

WOOOOHOOOOOO THANK YOU GUYS & OINKYLICIOUS I did look hard enough... ive been sleepless for a few days... why are people angry in forums? Thank you tho I'm gratefull...
Thank you sxi200
For reference: after flashing... rebooting... your usb storage will still show 11.5GB; you have to formate your usb storage and tada you get 26.64GB
Because many (most) people who come here with "Hlap mai fone borked" issues aren't normally big on reading/learning/searching & expect (demand) their hands be held/they be spoonfed often for the simplest of issues that could have been resolved using their own grey matter.
Does this answer your question ?

Excellent! Glad you got it sorted.
As MistahBungle said, most long time users get frustrated when the same question is asked a million times for which there is already a load of answers.
I think your situation is a little different as not many people have this issue. Most of us have the 16gb models so haven't had such a problem before.
Good stuff man. Wish I had the 32gb version (but I do have a 32gb memory card .

OP its all to often people flash their handset and when it goes wrong they cant take time to search for the info that they seek. 98% of the time the info is here within this forum or else where on the net Google is a useful tool. Like many have already stated most answers can be found by just taking some time open those eyes and read, not only that it wound frees up useless forum bandwidth where thses types of threads keep popping up ...
Still your back to working ways with your SGS2 good on you.

I didn't mean to come off as angry (I'm not), just doubting that you had searched very well. I do not own a 32GB I9100 and don't know anything about them, yet if you look at the post times, I was able to find the file in question and post my reply in the space of six minutes. That six minutes included the time to find and read your post, search for the answer, search for the file, download the file after finding several dead links and checking it in a hex editor to make sure it looked vaguely like a .pit.
Searching isn't difficult and I simply don't believe you had two sleepless days (why would you sleep during the day? Do you work shifts?) looking .
hehehe i was up trying stuff...
perhaps you're great at searching... just to prove a point I honestly ran a google search on the name of the pit file (that you directed me to) and i couldn't get a hit on the first two result pages... I took snapshots (I can upload upon request ) actually I found other threads regarding this issue (2 if i'm not mistaken) both had dead links to the download...
or perhaps... here in the 3rd world the internet is sooo slow and expensive that one gets frustrated waiting six minutes to open bloody google
Anyways I'm very grateful and I would invite u both to grab a beer if u ever pass by Lebanon
Should I delete this thread to spare some space?

what's the point of this?, all this information is available here , so why do you need to go somewhere else to read something that is here , I bet who ever made those pages probably got all the files here in xda , that wouldn't surprise me, plus you might want to add that all the things that are in those pages will increase the flash counter in the phone for those that are concerned with keeping their counter at 0.
All the info needed for flashing, rooting and kernels are in the dev section.

The point is that there are walk through videos for rooting, installing CWM, and flashing roms.
The site gives all credit to XDA developers. The site does not claim credit for any of the methods that they discuss.
Try visiting the site before blindly shooting it down and criticizing it.
Many people learn better by watching someone demonstrate rather then reading written directions.

Roloracer, I've had my note for 3 days and I'm planning to root my device any day now. All I need to do is catch up on some more reading. During my research I have found lots of info, not just here but other sites like rootgalaxynote.com, youtube, etc.
For a noob like me the more info I can get from different sources the better. Especially when it comes with "how to" videos/pictures. It really does make me a lot less hesitant and nervous about going through it the first time.
I have read many of your posts and found them to be quite helpful. For the noobs who haven't even heard of other sites like kevinallen4325 posted....believe me it is welcomed information.
Exactly. He does give credit to this site. The videos are helpful. I went through the majority of the threads here and was still confused about what to do. SEEING it helped. I and I so a post just the other day by someone who was confused about rooting and flashing, so I! Ade this thread to inform newcomers such as myself that there are other places and ways to learn about it. So keep am open mind.

I did visit the site and combed thru the links for different steps , and I wasn't blindly shooting it down, sorry if it came out that way but I guess it seemed pointless to me to point out a site with info that is already here. I guess it can be helpful for some .

I keep an open mind but after the years of modding phones here in xda , and doing tons of searching and reading in google/android police/android central/phandroid/android forums/rootzwiki and etc. I find myself trusting only one main source for any mobile development and that's XDA.
Sorry if I offended anyone.
There is a lot of great information on the site. But it can be a little bit overwhelming.
I can tear apart an engine and build it back up with my eyes closed, but for a phone I'm clueless and the step by step on the YouTube video helped me alot. Now I'm not as nervous to root or flash these babies...

I feel the same way. In the past year or so, it's gotten popular to post walkthrough videos on Youtube or the like. Some find them helpful, I do not. I seem to learn more through reading than watching, but my wife is just the opposite.
I'm a supporter of XDA and so I post all of my tutorials here (like in my sig). If I were looking for a few bucks, I would start a website with Google Adwords or similar advertising and them post the links here. Since I'm not in it for the money, I rely on people feeling generous enough to to click the "Donate" button above if they find that I'm helpful.
I'm not saying that the guy who posted the link or the other guy who wrote the tutorials are in it for the money, I'm just saying that it's the method that someone who is would use.
I'm from the jailbrake/iphone community and went through the same nervous jitters when I did my first jailbrake. I'm feeling the same again but this time knowing if I do as much reading I will get it done. Watching videos/pictures is a lot easier than reading through 18 page threads on the subject.
Haha I'm not in it for the money dude. Just trying to be helpful to others who are in the same boat as me. I switched to the note after 5 years with iphone so coming here and seeing all the possibilities really confused me.
its a good website for beginners
Well i want to say that there are lots of people who are new to rooting and flashing and unlocking....and thanks to people like rootgalaxynote.com that makes it easy by creating videos to help others...enjoy their phones.....seeing is believing

[Q] Anyone else have XDA Problems

Of course the XDA Community is the very best! But quite honestly I find the XDA site is really fairly low quality completely unintuitive software. I also can't find anywhere to tell some moderator this so I'm posting it here to see what sort of attention it gets.
In addition to the general functional shortcomings of the forum software I am regularly (as in more than 50% of the time) hit with the following madding problem.
There is NO SEARCH feature. Right now for example I have the site open in Firefox, Chrome, and IE. I'm logged in with firefox and chrome and not IE. I also probably have never even been to XDA with IE. There is no Search at all at the Device level (one up from this forum). In fact it doesn't even render the menu drop down button. At this Thread level the Forum tools only has:
Post a new Thread
Mark This Forum Read

View Parent Forum
As I said this happens more than half the time. I have of course tried clearing out the cache etc. Same results.
Honestly I find the search facility really doesn't work as well as I'd like. I guess that is because I'm spoiled by the heuristics of Google. But not having it at all is infinitely worse.
Does anyone else just not get any search options? Or is this just some black hole made especially for my torture? BTW, sometime later it will all be back and work fine - until it doesn't again.
If this were my site the missing search would be an indication that the back end search subsystem had failed and the JSP was smart enough to not render a search button. But I haven't seen anything to make me believe this forum software is anything approaching that level of sophistication. So I'm going to stick with my initial assumption - this is a big hairy BUG!
Thoughts?
I can't find the search either. Very frustrating. I just got a galaxy S3 and would really like to figure out some stuff without having to post new threads for stuff I'm fairly sure is common.
And..... Now it's working again.

Maintenance tools useful or not?

Hi, I am about to recieve my newly bought android phone soon and I was checking out some apps on the Android Market to prepare myself for the android overload with apps
Well, after looking through the pages, I saw a lot of apps for maintenance so I was wondering if they are actually useful or just a bunch of useless apps?
Thanks in advance for the info !
Cheers
I think your topic is to broad. There are generally both good and bad apps in any given category

Thats mainly why I'm asking it, there are so many apps about maintenance and I would like to know which any of you might think/know is good. Because my dad has tried something like a "Battery Life Saver" but it just took more of his RAM so it was pointless in one way but useful in another.
Basicly if the apps are useful, if yes, which are useful, and in what kind of way it's useful.
Or for example "Tool X can be used each month to clean ..." , "Tool Y can be used to improve CPU/RAM or any other kind".
Sometimes you see a "big" post of someone who explains it for PC for noobs like:
1. Do a defrag of your PC each 6 months.
2. Clean registry each ...
...
Sorry if I'm asking for too much.

Stock OF1 Firmware...

Hey guys
So I finally bit the bullet and paid for a membership for a month at Sammobile - More or less because I'm unbearably impatient, and the idea of 15 kbps downloads makes me nauseous. I noticed, in the course of downloading the latest available firmware which until this point I had thought was going to be OB6, I noticed at the top of the list was the OF1 firmware!
Needless to say I was pretty excited I could now save myself flashing AND restoring through My FAVORITE Kies, or worse, the softare Verizon uses to repair the device. I've been a frequent reader for a good long while, and figured it was time to give back! And what better way to make your first post hookin' people up!? So I uploaded the file to google drive. EXCEPT that since I'm a "New User" I can't post said link.. So shoot me a message, and I'll be glad to shoot the link back to you.
Also, I figure since I do have 29 days of downloading, and not many devices to download for, if anyone has need for anything from that website, but don't have the means or motivation to shell out the dough to obtain it, HMU, and we'll see if I can't help a brotha out.
You can post an "almost link".
paste the URL as plain text, and convert the "http://" in the resulting string to something else e.g. "hxxp##".
The cleverer folks here will know how to cut-n-paste.
(You should probably also compute an MD5 hash of the file and post that too so that folks can verify they have an intact download)
I will take a link please

I know this is a long shot. But I still use my Note 3 as a music player so I can keep my S23 Ultra battery in better shape. Well I have been running resurrection remix Android 9 for the longest time and I decided to bump up to 10 but there are quite a few bugs in it so I had a backup and when I tried to restore it something failed and now every time I boot up it just takes me to download mode. So if anyone could provide a link to the OF1 firmware that would be great.
