Contact name not appear in the call log on Xiaomi Redmi 6A
My contacts is syncing by google account.
Save a new number or existing number, In call log it shows as a new number. Not as a saved number.
During calling it shows contact details, but in call log, number shows.
My MIUI is 10.2.1.0 stable
Please help me to solve this big problem
Problem solved
I was also facing the same issue, mind was badly ****ed, spent alot of time in solving the problem. Download duplicate contact fixer app and remove all duplicate and empty contacts. Issue will be solved.

In call log, contact name along with number is displayed. i dont want the number of a contact to be displayed. is it possible to do it?

Ok, here is my problem. My conutry code is 505, I have my contact list, if I received an sms it will show the number not the name in my contact, so I discover that is when a Contact write to me some time (think is a network related stuff) it adds an +505 to the number I have in contact, so my phone does not link that sms to my contact. And If I tried to fix adding the +505 to the contact number it now shows the name in sms, but when they called me....it shows just the number...its a little confusing. Is there a way to fix that?

I am not sure what happened but my phone contact list just lost a large number of my contacts. If I had an sis thread for that contact the number is still there so I was able to trace back some of my numbers but I lost a large number of them. Has anyone had this problem?

just this morning i had a contact named "nour" ive deleted that contact and it still shows on whatsapp as "nour" despite not existing in my contact list. also when i type that contact's number manually to dial it comes up with "nour amour" and a pic of this contact that did exist on truecaller....i uninstalled truecaller and the same problem still there.
i tried to re-save this this contact with the old name and also new names the whatsapp still showing "nour" as its stuck like that even when i refresh my contact list on whatsapp. im really out of tricks here...any ideas ?
I have a Pixel XL - and I'm attaching a picture from my contacts.
I have no interest in seeing all the Whatsapp information in my contact list. It interferes with my bluetooth in my car and is annoying when I'm trying to send a text and it lists the same phone number twice.
Any help would be appreciated
