Meizu Pro 7 Root - Meizu Pro 7 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I have tried to install TWRP recovery on my meizu pro 7 and I got the error message "Permission Denied!". The ADB CMD says "FAILED ( remote: Permission Denied!)".
Does anyone know how to get permission to install TWRP?
Thanks.

As long as the bootloader is locked there is no way to install custom recovery. And, as far as I know, nobody managed to unlock the bootloader on this phone.

Check the following internet article:

Caution: I haven't tried it.

Unable to Root, please help

Ok I have an Asus Transformer Prime and at first it was rooted but I messed around and unrooted it using "SparkyRoot" When I try to Root it again with SparkyRoot, it would say "Exploit still not found". Super User is installed on it but it not rooted. Then when I try to use viperMOD_Prime_v4.6 I'm still unsuccessful. It would say things like "Failed to copy..",Unable to chmod.." "No such file or directory" and "/system/bin/sh:/data/local/mempodriod.bin:not found"
What is wrong with my prime, why won't it root?.....it have a custom rom by the name of CyanogenMod9. How can I fix this problem?

Boot into Recovery and re-flash SuperUser
If you have a custom recovery then just flash SU again from there, if you don't then boot into fastboot and flash a recovery then use it to flash superuser.
twrp has a thread in the development section, check it out and follow directions to install recovery

Any help will be appreciated, i have the HTC One Max 803s.
The device has no OS in it, only can access TWRP v2.7.0.0.
I've downloaded ROMs such as NuSenseSIX, PACT6, CandyKat T6, in this HTC one max forum .. . tried flashing through TWRP with no luck and an error message as below:
"Error executing updater binary in zip ..."

Gonna take a wild guess your boot loader is locked.
Bootloader could be locked. Also, when you tried to change recovery, where you flashing via recovery or using ADB? You should be using ADB.
Solved. thanks guys for the advices, below is what was done:
- unlocked bootloader
- re-flashed new open recovery from the above suggested link
- flashed rom

Stuck in TWRP after OTA update (E: error executing updater binary in zip)

Hi Everyone,
I know, I fell in a noob trap doing this and I already hate myself for it : I tried to OTA update my rooted Honor 7 and the device remained stuck in TWRP after reboot.
Log showed the following message in red : "E: error executing updater binary in zip"
I proceeded to a wipe and managed to start the system. This allowed me to unroot my phone, thinking I would then be able to update from a clean basis.
Unfortunately, the same error occurred and I am now stuck in TWRP again...
I would be grateful if anyone could provide me some leads to get out of my noob trap...
Thank you very much !
Edit : I finally understood how i managed to start system (I deleted the update.zip file and wiped again). Still, now how can I update to the latest version without getting stuck again in TWRP ? Thank you !

Rooting Doogee s88 pro - gettin error messages during startup into TWRP

Hello everyone!
I am in the process of rooting this device. I need to do this since I need to test / develop AR Apps. So either I buy a new phone or I root this one and try if it works (and by trying that avoiding buying one). After some driver issues - I solved them by using Linux instead of Windows - I ended up with TWRP. In TWRP - Install I was not able to install anything since I got some permission errors. Now I seem to be unable to even install TWRP by using
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Click to collapse
but the device is still recognized while in fastboot.
When I enter recovery I get a long list of errors. Like:
E: [libfs_mgr] Failed to open '/dev/block/platform/bootdevice/by-name/cache': No such file or directory.
Click to collapse
or
E: [libfs_mgr] Failed to format /cache:No such file or directory
Click to collapse
Is there anything left I could try to get a working TWRP with permissions?
Thanks for any hints!
Andreas
