Can you delete individual apps?
I tried to swipe them off to the garbage but that doesn't work. I only seem to be able to remove all at once.

[Q] lock screen disabler?

Can anyone help me out with finding an app or mod that can disable the lock screen altogether? I've tried the No Lock app in the market and this makes my keyboard extremely sticky and laggy after some time. Even using Widgetlocker renders my keyboard unusable. My keyboard gets sticky whether I'm using the Gingerbread keyboard, smart keyboard or even swiftkey. So what I've gathered is that tinkering with my lock screen at all will make my touch screen buggy. Does anyone know of a work around so that I am able to disable the lock screen and get to my home page as fast as possible? Thanks much.
If you're rooted, try going into the system app and renaming the htclockscreen.apk. I wouldn't delete it, just rename it to something like htclockscreen.apk.bak or something. In theory it should work and will get rid of the lockscreen all together. You can find it under system>apps>htclockscreen.apk
Thanks for the response. I'm currently using a senseless rom which means that I'm using the vanilla gingerbread lock screen. However, I have made the mistake of uninstalling all of my lock screens before and I was just left with a blank screen when I would power up my phone from sleep. Do you think that renaming it will have a different effect?
I'm not sure. I haven't used the gingerbread lockscreen in a while :/

Use tasker. There is an option under display to disable the lockscreen.
I have a profile set for "driving" that disables the lockscreen among other things.
Oops nevermind.

This produces the same results as all of my previous attempts . Regardless of keyboard, the keyboard becomes less responsive and It takes much harder presses to get a letter to register.

This is the first app that I tried and the app that I used to use on every reboot with my Evo 4G. Doesn't work as well on my 3d however.. I'm surprised that I'm the only one with this problem. I've tried using no lock on a fresh and stock rom with no custom apps installed ,and that didn't work either. Maybe I just touch too lightly when typing? Although I notice no problems when my lock screen is enabled.
Lol dog44 that's the same thing I said until I read the op post again.....oops.
Try using "touch screen booster", it seems to help some people with typing issues.
I got to thinking. Go ahead and look for the lockscreen apk in the system files and rename it. If it does give you the blackscreen you could just rename it again and it will put it right back.

Ok, I tried this and it worked, but now I get the Android lockscreen? The one where you slide the lock icon to the side to unlock. How do I get rid of that one?

It always helps to mention what ROM you're using. ADW, which is the stock launcher for cm7, does have a lock option. Press the menu button and then More.

SGH-I777/CM 7-2012Nightly/remove "launcher actions" shortcut

I pressed into the homescreen:
ADD/launcher actions/open/close APP drawer
and it "installed" a shortcut in my home screen that I can't remove.
I'm using the default ADWLauncher from the CM rom.
Can you guys help me out?
Heh. CM7
press and hold it, can move it up towards the trash or down, where ever the trash is on that old stuff
Its not longpress option activated with the launcher... so I can't do it that easily

It'll be the same as moving app shortcuts around your homescreens.
Longpress on shortcut WILL allow movement/editing/removing. If not then wipe your phone and reinstall it cuz somethings broke.
but I'd do that anyway and get on ICS atleast

Is there no chance that I can enable that longpress option in the launcher so I can do what it supposed to be doing?

Swipe into pattern

Is there any way to use the swipe screen on the lockscreen to then get to the pattern screen? To me that would be pretty cool. Is there any way to do it?

I use WidgetLocker. Custom sliders and wisdgets on my home screen. I can unlock to homescreen, or straight to dialer, messages, camera, or google now directly. I can use flashlight without unlocking, too, which is clutch.
When I unlock, my pattern shows up. What neat is that I have a different back ground for lockscreen, then a brick wall background for the unlock page, and then a new one when you open up.

What I'm mad they removed in IcS was timed lockouts. Like, slide only, but if it was locked for more than x minutes, you need to use password

way to disable swipe down search on home screen?

Hello
Is there a way to disable the swipe down search feature on the home screen? It's annoying and I set it off every time that I bring down the setting tiles (wifi, Bluetooth, etc); and I don't use it.
Thanks

I assume that you're saying that it's part of the stock launcher???
Is there a way to disable that, is what I asked.
Yes, it's part of the stock launcher. I didn't find the way to do this without replacing the launcher.
