Keyboard with touchpad for tab S4? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Accessories

Any cases with Incorporated keyboards with touch pads specifically for the S4, or that will fit the S4?

I haven't seen any specifically for the S4, but I saw some universal ones.
If you had the tab S2 Samsung keyboard it works, of course you can't use the case though.
I have an IVSO keyboard case but using my Tab S2 keyboard.

I order this one from amazon, and waiting for it, but it seems to be a good one!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LRR2GJC/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_kPcJCbSAF0BDT

did you test surface keyboard? did it work? good sensitivtiy of the touchpad?

Did you manage to find any decent ones? I have a Tab S4 arriving today and would really like to get a keyboard case for it, but I don't want one without a touchpad.
Also, all the third party keyboards I have seen are bluetooth - are there none available that connect through pins like the official keyboard case??

I'm looking for a surface-like keyboard + trackpad too!!

BT Thumb Keyboard

I'm looking for a small thumb-like bt keyboard. I know there are many folded ones, but they are all to big. Coming from Kaiser i miss thumb-typing, so i'm in need of something similar. Logitech dinovo mini is way to expencive and still to big to carry around. I found some, but don't know if they will work. If anyone has some idea if this can work on HD or does know thumb-like keyboard, please share.
Old one, but it looks great

Have you also explore alternative soft keyboards like Resco or SBP:
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/keyboard/
I also used to have a Touch Pro and a Tytn II and was a thumb typist on both. But, now I'm happy with JUST the HD and now keyboard.
i use soft keybrds for fast input, but when typing long emails it's much faster to type with hw keyboard. I even make less typos with it.
i suppose the only problem is with device driver, so what kind of BT chip does HD have? Some of this thumb keyboards allready have wm support (of some sort) and support Bluesoil.
I dont know much of this, so i could be way off. Even so, i think this would be good adition.
tnx
could be used for games?

Dock with USB OTG & Charging

Hi All,
I now have the Atrix with lapdock and it's really useful for travel in that I get a small lightweight system without having to lug a company issue laptop. I'd hoped to replace it with Note and a small hub to allow me to use my HDD to move files from say the HDD to my phone or to another USB drive in case I have to give another person files, etc.
Does anyone know if this is available for the Int'l Note?
Been looking but haven't seen much. I could buy a mini powered USB hub I guess but a dock would be nicer. AND if the hub had say 3 or 4 USB ports then I could plug mouse, kbd, hdd, and have one open port. BUT, that's so messy and half/ass looking. Plus I would have to prop up the Note to either type on screen or use a keyboard.
This is about as close as I can think of. http://www.spider-foot.com/battery-...ng-galaxy-note-n7000-i9220-i92h5e-p-1125.html

You can get a OTG adapter cable for your GNote which allows you to upload and download files, picts, video, music etc to a thumb drive to and from the GNote. I got mine from Amazon for like $3.50 or so. It has a micro USB to hook up to the phone and a USB for the thumb drive. I have not seen much luck on using the cable with a HDD, and I have not tried.

And there is no difference between them physically. Both phones use a micro USB port in the same location and orientation. There is a US version, I dont know why it links the European model in my post tho.

Any further info on this dock? Did it receive it yet and are you happy with it? I bought the official samsung dock that is compatible with the AT&T Note but I have a slim case on it so the Micro USB port didn't reach far enough! This one looks nice but it probably has the same issue with a thin case preventing a good contact with the micro USB port.

Got the Tab 2 today and tested my dock stand from my Tab 1. I use it mainly for watching movies over HDMI.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. It charges but the HDMI function doesn't work. Pretty pissed of actually. It's an Samsung dock stand ans cost me $60. Can't believe Samsung changed something so it doesn't work.
Anyone know what Samsung changed?

Does it have audio out and does this work properly? If so I might buy to make an audio out cable.
There's a new tab 2 dock just out http://www.expansys.com/samsung-doc...-7-0-and-10-0-charging-audio-line-out-234064/
that looks pretty good.
Using my old Tab dock too with my Tab 2! a bit tight but works well as just a charging dock! Did not know the HDMI did not work!

Audio out works. Had to load the Dock app, and/or change a dock setting. I had the new tab2 dock and returned it. I like to turn the tab landscape and watch the game, but the tab2 dock won't allow it.
P3110 HDMI desktop/docking Not working
Hi guys,
I have got a 7.7 tab and a p3110 TAB 2. I tried to put both on my new ECR-D980BEGSTA desktop/docking station to see if a HDMI out works; IT WORKS just for 7.7 tab but NOT for p3110 tab 2!!!
Why?
is there some sw to abilitate a P3110 connector to work on HDMI? some custom rom?

I would say the tab 2 does not have hardware to do HDMI / MHL out. Manufactures are not in the habit of including hardware for no good reason and hiding it. To save cost, I'd bet Sammy eliminated the TV out chip.
As i read from other users, hdmi was found and stated in the first version of the manual and then removed in the next versions!!!
Lets hope it will be supported in the jb release (soon) stay tuned
You could ask the official Samsung dealer in your country
You could send dm to the user in this thread, he says the hdmi work with certain dock in our tab

Sure, most any bluetooth keyboard and mouse will work
great so both can work simultaneously? that's good news...
any advice on which keyboard/mouse I should buy?
extra question about the keyboard: does the soft keyboard still appear when entering a text field, or is this supressed?
Cheers

I'm using an A4tech GL-5 wireless keyboard and mouse. It's not bluetooth. It has a tiny USB receiver so you'll need an OTG USB connector.
I use the cheapo OTG USB ($2.00)

NO recommendations. Most work fine. There are lots of available vendors. Logitech makes a good one, but I have a HP that was on clearance and it works great. I bought a generic bluetooth mouse, works fine.

Logitech makes a wireless usb combo that has a keyboard and track pad together. Its 29.99 at wal-mart. I love it. You just need a usb otg adapter. I would recommend the samsung branded one for 20.00 and I know alot of people will say the cheap ebay ones work fine for 2.00. I personally however need a good one due to the fact that I am a mobile locksmith and I sometimes have to print invoices on the spot. I do it with a samsung printer and the drivers are built into the phone.
Why wouldn't you just use bluetooth mouse and keyboard which work great instead of messing with USB connectors and such?

Wireless Keyboard and SGT 7 2

Hi there,
i would like to buy wireless keyboard for my Galaxy tab 7 2 and trying to find the best solution/keyboard. I want to use it for my Samsung Smart TV too. I saw many good review for Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 but finding if there is some other options thank this one.
By the way, is Galaxy tab 7 able to use wireless keyboard with BT or I need to use USB dongle and OTG cable ?
Thank you for you answers

If keyboard is bluetooth then will work with tab 2 without otg but u knw there are bluetooth keyboards that u must put a usb into ur device so that they work wirelessly
That needs otg abt the smart tv idk as I dont have one
I have 3 USB ports on my TV, so there wont be problem with it, i just needed to know if tab 2 supports BT keyboards
Of course
ok, and can somebody recommend me something better than Logitech K400
I tried the k400. I took it back. You need OTG cable to use K400 with our tabs.
I use Rii RT-UMK-100-BT. Its like a mini K400. I like it a lot.

I bought the Play Station 3 Keyboard (Bluetooth) - it works. I bought it for only 10 € (last one in the shop )
Only Problem - No German Layout possible without an app using "External Keyboard Helper" will fix it.
I´m on Galaxy Tab 2.7 CM 10.1.1 ; same problem on a P5110 Stock (no root).
Any ideas how to get it work without an app (German QWERTZ) ?
something in the build.prop?
Changing ro.product.locale.language=en and ro.product.locale.region=US to ro.product.locale.language=de and ro.product.locale.region=DE ?

Perfect layout, quite small, fast connected almost perfect!

OK, it's an old topic, but anyway... Microsoft Wedge BT keyboard works perfectly for me. The only thing I don't like about it is the protruding part at the bottom (where the battery compartment is) -- I would prefer a flat design. But functionally, it's a great keyboard.

Those are NOT bluetooth keyboards -- they use proprietary RF transceivers. If it really is a BT peripheral, you don't need to plug in anything extra, as long as your host is BT-capable.
Cheap option...but
I bought a "aluminum" keyboard for my Tab 2 7. In reality it was plastic with an aluminum color. It fits the tab as a case and is BT. It works fine and I payed all of US $15.
The down side is the keys are very small so no way for my fat fingers to touch type. If I don't look and concentrate I hit 2 keys at a time. But I have been using it for the last 9 months.
Found it on Ebay.
