SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle PRO and 3rd party Glass Screen Protector - OnePlus 6T Accessories

Just wanted to share my experience here. I bought a SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle PRO for my 6t and hated the built in screen protector. So I ordered a tempered glass one ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KCTJLF2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) got it installed and the air bubbles worked out. Then cut the screen protector out of the bezel in the Supcase. Some people said you could peel them right out but mine wasnt having any of that. I spent 20 mins making sure it was trimed flush with the bezel then snapped it all together and it promptly popped the screen protector up. I trimmed the bezel some and it kept doing it.
I am going to try to drastically file the bezel and see if it will work but not much hope. So will need a new case I guess.

I'm using the Spigen liquid air case with that same screen protector and it fits absolutely perfect. No issues and it works great.

Also, I used a small tip soldering iron to stipple the sides of the case to create a little more grip for my taste. Turned out great and gave it that little bit of extra grip I think a lot of these case really need.

I just installed this on my wifes OP6T. I used a blow dryer for about 5 minutes and the crappy glass cover came right out. Installed a tempered glass protector in its place and her case came together all nice. My wife has gone through 5 tempered glass protectors in the last 3 months. I actually quite like the heft and security of this case, I may bite the bullet and replace my Spigen Liquid.
https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Prot...icorn+pro&qid=1573657763&s=electronics&sr=1-2

I have no idea what you did but I used these products without any issues. I had to do nothing with Omoton screen protector just put it on using the frame they sent in the box, it is smaller than the screen or the bezel of the case.
I am currently using this supcase and oneplus tempered glass screen protector, they fit as they were desined to work together.
Sorry bro, I think you did something wrong.

TPU case that doesn't mess with screen protection?

I picked up the realook protector, and love it. it covers the screen perfectly (really) and looks and feels like the original glass. problem is the verizon high gloss tpu case i bought for the phone last weekend causes the edges of the protector to lift up when the case is squeezed even slightly.
is anyone using the amzer case with a protector? does this work better?

This made me lol. This is one of the only reasons I don't use a tpu case on my phones. I know the cheaper ones usually don't wrap as tightly and don't go over the bezel as much, making it so they don't touch the edges of the screen protector. I've never tried that one but from what I remember the Diztronic ones don't mess the protector up.

Love the feel of the note 3 but think I should protect it

Got my note 3 a few days ago and I'm loving it. I love the feel, the leather back, the slimness. It's great. But I feel I should be protecting it somehow.
I went for an official S View case but it turns out it's not official and i'm not sure I want to spend £50 on a case that doesn't offer full protection.
I've had a browse but can't seem to find one that would not effect the profile of the phone. Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks.

Dunno about slim cases (I have a UAG), but I'd definitely recommend a tempered glass screen protector. Especially if you were interested in getting the authentic S-view case.
I bought an $8 eBay protector recommended in the tempered glass screen protector thread and have been very happy with it. Cheap way to keep your screen scratch free.
The problem I've found with screen protectors is that I can't apply them for them life of me. They always bubble or get fluff stuck under them.

Try the tempered glass protectors. I used the MIME Ghost Glass for my S4 and i just got one for my Note 3. It just got here like 30 min ago. IF you get one, you don't have to worry about bubbles, they come out on their own in like an hour or 2. Just apply it in a bathroom after running the shower with hot water to get a touch (NOT a lot) of steam in the air. That pulls all the dust particles out of the air as you apply it.
As for the cases, I agree. I like the feel of the Note 3 naked. I also got a case that makes it actually feel more slippery. I love the case as i had the same for my S4 but it is more slippery. I picked up the Spigen Slim Armor case in the metal color.
I have a bumper case, just the frame around the phone. My phone already fell out from the pocket of my pants, when I was changing (frankly I thought I had the phone in my jacket, otherwise would be more careful) onto the wooden floor from about 4 feet and I think I would have already some type of damage, if it wasn't for the bumper case. I like my phone very much, therefore having it in pristine condition is more important than anything else.
Something like this:

Caseology, Spigen, and UAG are the only way to go for cases.

It's a little more than I want to spend on a case but it looks pretty good.

This is going to sound odd, but in order to get a flawless application of your screen protector . . . do it in the bathroom. I always run the shower as hot as it gets for a few minutes prior to trying to apply the screen protector to let the steam pull most of the dust particles out of the air. I also line up the screen protector prior to removing the backing and tape one side so that it functions like a hinge. This way once the backing is removed you do not have to worry about lining up the protector and it basically applies itself from the taped side.

Question might be lame but just to make sure - Can tempered glass be removed if needed or once is applied/glued thats it ?
It will just lift up. No residue left really. Think of it as more sticky and does not bond like a glue. Until you crank one and have to remove it... It's kinda hard to describe. But it comes up as easy as it is to put down
Ordered it. Should be here soon. Do I still need a screen protector with it do you think?

just want to ask something about tempered screen protector. i just bought the spigen glass tr screen protector and had applied it successfully on my note 3 just having one little lint underneath but i dont care too much about it as it cant be seen when the screen is on. but i want to ask is tempered glass has any side effect to my screen ? such as reduce the screen sensitivity as i heard from someone that using tempered glass has negative effect. is it true ?
I haven't noticed any sensitivity issues. To be fair, I put the protector on only a few days after I purchased the phone, but I honestly never noticed any ill effects after installation.
On my S4 or this phone I've never had sensitivity issue with either phone. The Spen works flawlessly with THE MIME Ghost Glass (is only 32mm thick as to Spigens tr glass which is .40mm thick)
Well my case turned up and I love it. Such a well made product.
It makes my phone look kind of Storm Trooper like. I wonder if I can get a vinyl for the front.

[VIDEO REVIEW] Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro for Nexus 6, like OtterBox

Saw another post with link to it, but here's a review of the case. It's not super bulky. But add enough protection for most
Leave questions and comments
Just got one of these. My question is to pop the included screen protector off and just go with the one that came with the Nexus or peel that one off and go with the Supcase protector. I've read reviews of people suggesting both.
This is a durable feeling and looking case. I've always had UAG cases in the past but this one seemed to offer a little more protection.

I find a tempered glass screen protector under the plastic built-in one to be the best. It sits really flush this way and you can't see the halo in the glass screen protector because of the case.

If you do this, make sure you after you pop the built in screen protector off you scrape off the black adhesive that held it on or it will fuse to your screen protector and rip it off if you take off your case. Any small metal tool can be used but be careful not to scratch the case. After its removed you can use some qtips and a little bit of rubbing alcohol to clean any residual adhesive.
I didn't do this originally and my case was stuck to my screen protector for 2 months till I finally decided to try and force it off and it ruined my screen protector.
I'm going to keep my supplied screen protector on along with the case screen protector.

No problems with sensitivity so far. I like the case. Little bulky but the phone feels safe.

The edges of the screen sometimes take a few tries to respond!
I have this case. Its fantastic for work. Its awfully bulky though! But, with that bulk you get great protection.
Its great if you need the protection. I typically remove the phone from the case when I'm home.

This is what I described doing in a different topic - used an X-Acto knife and it took about 10 minutes to get all the plastic protector's adhesive off, which I felt might stick or lift up the lip of their case on the actual screen protector I'm using.
However, I also found that the Supcase didn't sit perfectly flush on the Nexus 6 with my own screen protector after removing their plastic one - one longer side has a gap between the frame and my protected phone surface.
So, I am keeping this case as a backup, only.
- ooofest
Just got this case from EBay .I must say Dam good quality cases an holster love it..actually kind of like its design an fit better then Otterbox...feels more solid..
Had the case for a while its pretty good. Not a daily case for me as I switch when doing different jobs. It's actually kind of hard to get off that's a good thing for some people.
I've just had to return mine after using it for a few days. When taking pictures with the rear camera flash on, the flash and case don't work well together and the pictures are spoilt (first pic is with case, second without. You can see the tint that having the white case on causes). Disappointing as I have already had the screen break on me (first time ever!) and was happy of the extra protection that this case affords
For the most part I go naked with my N6. I am ordering one of these cases for when I go golfing and maybe some other activities where I want to have the best protection. I am keeping the supplied protector cause it will keep dust and water from getting on my phone. Which is, by the way, the reason I am going with this brand because most of the other "tough" cases don't have that.
How does this case fit around the speakers? Is it open letting dust in under the screen protector or are the speakers sealed?
They are open, dust can accumulate
I've been using mine for months now with no problems. only complaint is the camera port is long. Dust an small debris gets under screen protector, its slightly bulky but worth the protection. Both factory screen protector an case built-in on an notice a little touch sensitivity loss, but worth the protection! Add the fact that the N6 is water resistant an its damn near perfect!

What is the best Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S8?!

My mother and I have had the S8 since release. We have never had an issue with breaking the screens until this phone! The Zagg one on release day absolutely stunk as the adhesive was only on the curved part of the protector leaving the whole screen non responsive to our touch. Since then we have been daring and been going without one. Within the last 3 months my mother dropped her phone twice. The phone was replaced at a $149 deductible the first time. I refuse to pay it again until I can find a screen protector that works!
Please help!
Full adhesive, curved edges, perfect glass cover.. Can be purchased from Home Depot or Amazon!
Samsung Glass Screen Protector - Ultra Thin Tempered Glass with Easy Applicator and Cleaning Kit - Smudge, Fingerprint, Scratch and Shatter Resistant - ProGlass by Tzumi
Doesn't make since to make another thread, but I'm looking for something that's similar. Preferably one that is case friendly, doesn't ruin touch sensitivity, and doesn't have a weird cutout for the sensors at the top. I bought the Pro Glass one in the above post, but it wasn't case friendly.

As far as I know, having tempered glass only won't help when the phone drops.
For myself, I watched several people try drop testing S8 using rhino shield bumper case (can search on YouTube). I too, have one, but since I don't like the glass back getting smeared with fingerprint, I go to otterbox defender (a hefty one), and finally to spigen tough armor (the one I currently use).
For record, I have dropped my phone twice (forgot whether using defender or rhinoshield), without any tempered glass, and the phone is still working without flaw.

Neither is wasting money on cheaper versions that just don't work. If this one actually prevents screen damage without compromising the user experience then it's a good investment.

What case are you using with your GOBUKEE?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074SJV133/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got these. There is about ~1mm gap between top and bottom edges clearance with spigen tough armor on. The sides of the glass are almost right on the edges of the case. I don't recommend using it without a case or with rhino bumper bc it doesn't go to the edges and feels weird bc of the extra gap. It does come with a tool that clips onto the phone to line it up perfect. I'm happy with it.
I'm using a Spigen case. I do have an S8 active, so the case is different, but Spigen makes great stuff
Incipio Plex Plus Shield Edge is awesome, had mine for a couple months and it's still attached lol
I purchased these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B078W2LZM6?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd
It may be a PET protector but it does the job and is super thin and case friendly. Another aspect is that it's cheap! 3 for 8 bucks and was easy to install.

Spigen offers a tempered curved protector that fits. Mine cracked after 2 months, still usable. Experienced a few spots in the corners where touch responsiveness is decreased.
What is the best Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S8
I've always admired how my friend’s phone looked so seamless and smooth, it always fooled me thinking that his screen protector came with the phone when he purchased it. To my surprise, he installed it himself. Now I’m not a bad friend, but this guy can get excruciatingly stupid at times. I thought if someone as dense as him had managed to somehow not mess up with wet installation, how hard can it be?
I got the Ounier screen protectors, a squeegee, a tiny piece of cloth, a manual, and a small bottle spray solution. I’m the old-fashioned type, I never even knew that “wet installation” is actually a thing if not for my buddy. All these items looked so weird to me. I’ll never understand how people come up with this stuff but if it works, then it's fine with me.

Best case for whitestone dome glass?

I'm not sure if I'm just having issues with the case, but my whitestone dome glass keeps lifting on the corners. Does anyone have this screen protector and a good compatible case?
Been considering the whitestone dome screen protector or the upcoming rhinoshield plastic one, mind if I ask what case you're using that is causing it to lift?
Waiting official LED samsung cover to test with... hope it will fit
getting some tg lifting issue when using the unicorn bettle pro.
rhinoshield solidsuit works just fine with wsd

I'm using Dome Glass with no issue with the dbrand. I can also tell you the UAG and Spingen Tough Armor also work fine with Domeglass.
I like the "tear down" skin you can get with the case. dbrand is not cheap. I think I paid 44 for the case and the skin. They have a nice micro fiber interior to protect the glass back.
Just for anyone wondering, the protector that I was using that caused lifting was the Spigen clear ultra hybrid. After about a day, the corners lifted, and any button presses cause screen lifting. We swapped it for a spigen liquid crystal and so far it's not as bad.
I'm using the Otterbox defender with no issues

One vote here for Spiegen Tough Armor
I love this case, cause it's tough. Like armor.
No lifting of the whitestone dome glass (well, my first placement did result in lifting but i messed up , had it too far toward the bottom. 2nd try was perfect).
I also didn't have a problem with the Samsung LED cover or the Samsung flip-open cover with the clear section running down the right
And, I'd just like to add, that the fingerprint detection is SOOO much better than my prior Galaxy note 10+. Thank you thank you thank you Samsung.
I love this S20+. (I had an Ultra but turned it in cause it was just a little too big. This one fits my mitts well).
Cheers XDA! Keep up the great site!!!

Just got the Spigen Slim Armor case. It fits perfectly and feels great on the hand. There is no problem with the Whitestone dome glass that I installed a few days ago.
I had similar issue with my S10+ so this time I went screen protector free. With Assurion, if I break my screen is $30 the screen replaced, they even come to my house to do it so to me, it was a no brainier

Anyone using Whitestone with Spigen Liquid Air?
Still following this and hoping there's more feedback. Just installed Dome on mine and my wife's and I'm not sure any cases we have will work without pulling up the glass. The test begins tomorrow!
Case test 1 and 2 - Scnail Titan works well. No issues. Schnail Savior lifted the very top lip of the glass on my wife's.
Samsung silicone case (for regular s20) also fits well.

This is Spigen's alt-brand. I have it in green and blue, definitely my favorite cases out right now. Works perfectly with the Whitestone glass.
UAG Monarch fits perfectly. My favorite case this far. Wife just got a Snakehive leather case that is awesome too and works well with the Dome.
