They don't talk alot for Samsung S10 in keynote.. - Samsung Galaxy S10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi, I just did some research.. I am exited for samsung s10 and already pre-order it
I was wondering, why they did not tell everything about samsung s10 and how amazing it was
this is few things they don't talk in recent live samsung s10 launch
1. They do not mention about to headphone jack and the improvement music system in Samsung s10 overall
2. They did not mention that Facial recognition is still can be use to unlock the device and this is proven by some youtuber who did a review (unbox theraphy)
3. Bixby button! YES! the bixby button now can be remap with any apps you want!
4. Samsung Blockchain Wallet.. wow, this is so interesting for those who had asset in crypto, Samsung s10 built with crypto wallet that can also be use with samsung Pay!
5. they do not show comparison size between samsung s9, as it almost had the same size and slightly lighter than samsung s9
6. they don't talk about DEX! YES! Samsung S10 can now be connected with any HDMI USB C cable to any monitor and you had Desktop Experience with latest DEX os (this shown in Samsung Business USA Channel on youtube but not in Official channel)
and there are few minor other things they do not mention
so, Samsung s10 is a great phone!

Previously, Samsung used to brag a lot especially when they launched the S2...S4, but nowadays they're presentation model has changed and they don't brag a lot.
They even don't do comparison between iPhones anymore which they used to do a lot before.
Actually, I like this strategy, it makes me feel like that -> they want to leave some features to be discovered by the user ???.
Furthermore, I also think that previously they used to brag because they wanted to attract people's attention but now they know that they already have their attention.

[Q] Note 3 or HTC One ?

Hello everyone.
I want to buy a new phone and I'm stuck between Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One.Next, I will tell you what I like and what I don't like about these 2 smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
I like the specs.I mean with 3 GB Ram and a quad-core/octo-core of 2,3 GHZ who wouldn't ? I also like the S-Pen a lot but I'm not sure I will use him on a daily basis.
What I don't quite like is the screen size.I understand that it is a phablet, but I think it will be awkward to hold a phone of that size at my ear.
HTC One
Here, I like the design a lot, I think it has the best design on the market, it is very elegant and classy. The aluminium is also a big plus, compared to Samsung's plastic. The screen size it's perfect and I don't see how you will make a bad impression with such a nice phone in your hand.
What I don't like is that you can't remove the battery so if you damage it you can get rid of the phone, and I also don't like that it doesn't have a slot for the memory card.
Here in Romania, the Note 3 is aprox. 965 $ while the HTC One is 785 $, which is a big difference if you ask me.
So, does the Samsung deserve all the praise and the extra 200 $ ? To be honest with you, I'm not that rich and I can't afford a phone this expensive every year or every two years, so my fear is that if I buy the HTC, in a two years time the phone won't be able to support the new applications anymore. The Note 3 comes like I said with 3 GB Ram and a strong processor, so I think that the era of 2 GB Ram phones will come to an end, like it happened to the 1 GB Ram phones also, and I also think that the Note 3 is a road opener for the next generation of smartphones.Am I right here or it is just a stupid affirmation ?
Please take your time because I really need some good pieces of advice, thanks to everyone who will read and answer to this.
The Note 3 does have quite a bit on its side- the 3GB of RAM, 4.3 out of the box, an insane clock speed and so on.
Not to mention the removable battery and the expandable storage. On my current device (Galaxy S, whch has both) both are pretty invaluable to me. A spare battery's saved me in quite a few situations and the expandable storage is always nice, an extra 8GB for media.
The One however has its design. If design does matter to you, then go for the One. Plus apparently the Boomsound speakers are beyond amazing, so again, audio quality (though the Note III does have a Wolfson speaker which are also said to produce really good quality). Sense 5 also seems to be more simplistic and minimalistic than Touchwiz (though I've never used a One so I have no idea).
Its really a matter of what you think you would be using the phone for. If you think it'll be the standard texting, calling, browsing, Facebook etc then either device would be good, probably the One if you don't plan on using the extra features the Note III has. If you do intend on using them, Note III, definitely.
tl;dr,
Note III:
-RAM
-Features, if you want to use them
-Removable battery + expandable storage
-Processing power
-Touchwiz
HTC One:
-Beautiful design
-Audio quality
-Sense 5
-Still pretty damn good processing power + RAM
Bear in mind both are going to get reasonably good update support, so at least you won't have that problem for a good while.
(By no means is this reply indicative of anything because I've never used either device, anyone who has will be able to answer the question better)

Thanks a lot for taking your time to answer this.
Talking about the Note 3 Ram and Processing power, I'm not a business man or something like that, I will soon start my first year at the Engineering University, so I don't know if I will use the Note 3 at his real power. But being a future engineer makes me think that I could use the S-Pen at the University, I'm not sure at what though, but it looks pretty handy.
Also, when you talked about the Notes 3's Features, you meant exclusively the S-Pen or other things also ? Can you please give an example ?
Basically, I will use the phone for applications, games, browsing, facebook, twitter, youtube etc. and that's why I'm not sure I will use all the power the Note 3 has, maybe just the S-Pen who really excites me.
I think that if you're about to start uni, the planning features that the Note III provides might help, I know they would in my case Action Memo seems like it would help a lot for quick jotting down of notes. There are quite a few
The Note III's features beyond the S-Pen include pretty much everything else found on the S3 and S4- S-Voice, Direct Call, Smart Stay, Smart Rotate to name just a handful. Some might not be very helpful- Smart Scroll (tilt the phone to scroll) seems to be hit and miss ad
The major selling point's obviously going to be the S-Pen though, and if you think you need to have those, then the Note III would probably be the better choice.
For your usage, either the Note III or the HTC One will run fine, so really its whether you think you'll use at least some of the Note III's features or not.

Very important news about this phone!

Please don’t delete this topic it’s fair warning!
I hate to be right sometimes but as I told long ago after years of testing it turns out that the best camera of Samsung was in S6 / S6Edge+. Test it yourself. Hold S6 in one hand and for example S8 in the other and take a photo in good light. Then zoom it on the phone and you will see that S6 has better details, no artificial brightener while for example S8 has it.
S6 has 16 Mpix and all flagships that came after had 12 Mpix rear camera.
I’ve tested S6 Edge Plus vs. S7 / S8 / S8+, Note8, S9, S9+ and…
only S9+ finally beat S6. (look how Samsung did bad for us from Sep2015 till March2018)
I wish I had NOT sale my S6 and bought a newer one
If You don't believe me? Ask XDA members who has S6 and a later Galaxy S model (but not S9+)
This is a Warning for You don't sell your S6!!!! or sell only if you can afford to buy S9+.
I did the wrong thing so I Warn you no to make the same mistake that I did
You realise and understand these devices can do a lot more than just take pictures, right? They're intended to be used for more than just a camera. All the newer devices has better features and hardware that people might need more than just what a quick photo looks like. If image quality in photos are that important, just get a proper DSLR camera and use the smartphone for all the other features it was intended to be used for.
The tiny distance between the 2 cameras when you click the picture, or the very slight change in ambient light if the pictures are consecutively to each other, is enough for the camera to choose a different ISO. This impacts perceived detail more than you might believe it does. Besides, the sensors after the S6 were larger and therefore more difficult to stabilise optically. It follows that you cannot evaluate perceived detail without professionally controlled conditions.
If a camera is very important, buy a DSLR.
Do not buy a phone just for the camera, they are only meant for the day to day snaps, which they do very well.
The purpose of this post was to warn all of ppl that DO want to use only smartfion to take pics.
I have no agenda against Note8. I just know that a lot of ppl are massivly abandoning S6 cause they think that cam will be significntly better on a newer Galaxy. Out of my good heart I want to spare them the dissapointment.
Like I said if a person wants to change S6 only for pics quality reason they should buy nothing less than S9+ otherwise they will be sadly dissapointed.

During years with my 1000 photos taken by S6EPlus from launch od S7 till launch of S9/S9+ I did it for myself cause Samsung kept on saying that that the photo quality is better in good light than previous S models. So I went to the electronics shop. I one hand I had my phone and in the other the newer Galscy version. I joined hands, pointed forward in the same linear direction and I have taken a photo with both (same options on both, for example HDR). Then I opened in both phones the gallery and I looked very intesnly with no zoom and with zoom whsat the quality was.. the S6EPlus won with all but not with S9+. But I did not have the photos from these other models troughout the years cause I was doing it for my self to check my theory that Samsung will be lying about much camera improvment.
Hence no photos. I wasnt planing then to warn everybody. I myself wanted to buy S7E and all the next phones cause I beleived that maybe the next and next model with have a batter cam. I waited 3 years, 3 generations till the emerge of S9+ that I can truely say that in good light S9+ makes better photos than my S6E+. I was planning to buy it but I didnt have enough money

DeX for Tab S3?

I would really like to see this feature, just like the Tab S4 is getting.
Unlikely to happen
Reasons why?
I would like to hear from some xda developers on why Samsung wouldn't update the Tab S3 with Dex mode when and if it gets 8.1? Other than the obvious, to bolster sales of the Tab S4. I know we didn't get AR support on the Galaxy Note 8 although the chip architecture allows for it. Will XDA work to release a mod for the Tab S3 to get the Dex mode working? How hard would it be to install Dex on the Tab S3?

Well, it would be good if anybody really develops DeX for the S3 but my guess is that this may be challenging because the processor in the S3 is not the same as the one in S4. Please note that the Qualcomm 835 chip is used also for "Windows on ARM" implementations (a couple of laptops with this chip have been released), so it does have the juice to run all elements of DeX, but I am not sure that this would be possible for the S3.
In any case, the S3 has the advantage that one can run Microsoft Office there without any license. You would need a license to run MS Office applications in the S4.
However, I wonder if one needs to adapt DeX to the S3. There are potentially other solutions, If you recall, the Note Tab 10.1 2014 had a very robust multi-windowing interface, running in a much less capable processor. Samsung (or somebody else) can adapt the 10.1 (2014) multi-tasking/multi-windowing solution to the S3. If this is possible, it may even be more capable than DeX and even faster. This may be more of a possibility. I am sure that Samsung evolved DeX from its multitasking effort on the 10.1 (2014).
Technologically it's possible, but it's entirely up to Samsung, so I'd say "NO"... Why offer a feature on an earlier tab when the goal is for all Tab S3 users to purchase their new S4? Bringing features outside of OS updates just isn't financial sense.
Also DEX is Samsung's code, so don't expect to see it legally in someones ROM.
So then it's unlikely. I hope somebody can make it work, would definitely pay for it.

Well, I am not sure that Samsung wants all Tab S3 users to move to the Tab S4. In fact, it definitely does not. In the "exchange program" for the Galaxy Tab S4, anybody who decides to exchange a Tab S3 for the newer tablet gets only $100!! On the other hand, if you decide to trade-in an Apple iPad, you can get $300!! Thus, it seems to me that Samsung wants to discourage owners of Tab S3 from moving to the S4. Their trade-in program makes this abundantly clear.
Currently, Samsung is actively selling the Tab S3. It has lowered the price to $449 and it is available through them (and through other vendors). On this basis, and considering that DeX is really the only differentiation between these tablets, I would say that it is quite unlikely that Samsung would develop DeX for the Tab S3. It would remain the "cheaper" option minus DeX. As DeX is nothing more than a gimmick in these tablets, I think that clever users should be opting for the S3 rather than the S4.
It is just possible that in the future Samsung may release a Gaxaly Tab S4 Pro with a 12-inch screen. Now, that machine would be a much better fit for the Dex environment and more logical fit for the price of $649, which is absolutely ridiculous for this tablet right now.
The best and easiest solution: Download the Sentio Desktop app on your Tab S3
It works like a beauty for me for most apps, and for the apps that cant open up in a window, they open up in full screen with the task bar on the bottom. It's a great experience. the app was made with the intention of being used on a phone connected to a Sentio Book, but on the Tab S3, it works great with the large screen. I plan on buying an HDMI cable to use with a monitor though. It would be nice to find some other apps or ways that the screen mirroring would work so that you could use the Tab S3 as a drawing tablet/mouse when connected to a monitor using Sentio Desktop (if anyone knows of something, that'd be great), but nevertheless, it's a great solution and alternative to Dex, which Samsung is probably not going to port over the the Tab S3 in any future updates, even though it's just as capable as the Note 8. :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Tab S6 or Tab S7 - By experience

Hi everyone,
Question for you on this, which one would you suggest, by experience? I do understand both devices have minor differences, like the "correct" camera position at S7, 120Hz, but as well the poorly LCD screen on Tab S7.
As someone who owns a S4 Tab (which is very unpopular on XDA community overall), what would you suggest personally? I want to upgrade mostly due low RAM, bad placement for S-Pen, keyboard constant disconnect, but mostly due 0% of someone starting a LineageOS development (LineageOS GSI has several issues, and I'm not expert enough on Android development to start my own).
Seems like S5E and S6L has already lot of development around LineageOS, and is likely S6 and S7 tab could receive something as well.
As far I read most of QA comments, seems like most people owns a S7+ due better screen mostly, but personally is out my budget and too big from my perspective.
Many thanks!
If you want to know which tablet is the right for you:
You've give yourself the answer in the last sentence
The s7 has one of the best displays available, although it is not an OLED. I would not care about the OLED /LCD displayfight.
It's like the ultra highres and 120Hz discussion: most people love the crispness and fluety, not realizing both is deactivated due to performance or battery savings. Go in a shop and try it, you can deactivate it and see yourself. There even are people praising it in forums, not knowing the program they are using not even support it.
When it comes to professionalism you have to avoid OLED due to the lack of color calibration and color acurracy. That's the reason its a pure consumer thing. And for the latter, marketing always try to make things essentiall you actually do not need.
But as soon it comes to proffesionalis (this) android tablet is not for you at all. From an artist perspective major apps are missing (although getting better) and the s-pen technique is a big draw back, beside the form factor. Same for office work: Dex still is a pain, the office packages are working not like on a Desktop and yes: you'll hate the keyboard at the end of a working day (so use a standard BT one instead). Or even better: spend much more money and buy a surface PC.
From a consumer perspective OLED are great, love it on my mobile especially in pitch dark. But honestly: 99% of the time you're not realizing it and the battery saving bla bla is not worth the discussion. If I would have welcomed it on the s7: sure. But I would not have spend 100 € more for it.
Consider your use case. For a simple multimedia device: wait for the s7 light. If you need a device primary for note taking and some more sofisticated multimedia stuff, the s7/s7+ is for you. The RAM and CPU are great for painting (as long it's on concept /sketching level) and a good alround device on the go.
The s6 was out of focus for me due to: the pen form factor, the camara position, and especially not having an update option in 3 years. If you can deal with all: go for it.
To make it short: consider what you want. If the s7: wait for a good deal. In case you need 8GB of Ram and a bigger screen spend the extra money for the s7+.
Oh well broke my Pixel C Tablet today changing the battery . I been living with the Pixel C Tab and my Nexus 6 phone running LineageOS for years just looking for some feedback on what might be a fun and logical upgrade that should have good LineageOS Rom support going forward ?
Have s4 s6 and now s7+ only the people who compromised for the lcd s7 over the oled s7+ will tell you oled doesn't matter, just like tvs. Either get s6 or s7+ the oled is amazing.

By that time the s8 will be out and I'm sure there will be roms soon, but honestly very little need, these days I find very little need to root and only look for roms if I really need an OS update which hasn't happened since my old tab s 8.4 which is still going strong on lineage.
Don't get me wrong rooting and ROMing are great to have, but I find current Android customizable enough for most things and don't pick my devices based on that. I'd rather root my phone than my tab and I wouldn't sacrifice oled for root or roms

Well said I would love to get the S7+ its the best out there now my first choose but at the end of the day its also important for me to have some good rom support and the fact that the the S7+ has absolutely none right now leaves me worried we may never see any materialize ?
So thinking maybe last years Tab S5e is the best possible compromise considering it has official LineageOS support and blessings its just missing the 120Hz display not quite as big and not as nice of a upgrade power wise.
Sucks I'm torn and can't decide ?

Well, sorry no. Your marketing talk even is obsolete as Micro- and Q-LED is the new hype
To make it short.
For simple consumers: go to a shop and see yourself. If you like perfect blacks, oversatturation and high contrasts: go for OLEDs. You definitely will see the difference next to a s7.
If you would be in (photo-)graphics or arts on a professional level: you would not even ask that question. You would know that's OLEDS will never be an options (color accuracy, calibration, etc.).
Just keep in mind: OLEDs show the strongest burn-in. But: as long you do not work all day long with a single programm (office, photoshop, eclipse, etc.) or use it as a display device with areas showing almost static output (e.g. home automation at a wall, infotainment in cars), this will not be a problem. Typing this on a 3.5 year old galaxy s8, with still no real notable burn in. Only the color shifted over the years. But thats s.th. you can adjust for.
And: I would have taken the s7+, but the OLED is a no go for me.

What's the reason you want to have good rom support?
Just wondering. Same for 120Hz: you know that apps have to support it specifically? Most don't, for obvious reasons...
One UI is a great enhancer when it comes to tablet support on Android. My pretty old Note 10.1 sucks without. You'll notice it, when missing.
The best option for me is a rooted s7 stock rom. Just kept it unrooted for guaranty reasons, in half a year... .
Best tablet UI but open for adjustment. Of course, you should not put your bank account on it. But frankly, all other features missing with root I would preferably have on my phone than this device.

Wow I hope you were joking about QLED/nanopixels being the best thing right now! You know that's just fake logos that say "we can't make OLEDs but we want you to think we do"?
As for color accuracy, I actually do a lot of drone footage and photo, but admittedly I'm no PRO and I don't edit on my tablet(I edit on my 28" 4k IPS HDR), but I did read the reviews and comparisons which put the S7+ above the S7 and the Ipad Pro when in Natural color mode. You can also calibrate yourself. I prefer the amoled for reviewing my video since most video is produced to HDR for display on an OLED TV. I find if it looks good on my tablet it will look close to the same on my LG OLED.
I guess it all depends what you want to do with the Tablet and what you are producing and for what target. I was not trying to say there is no place for the LCD(although I don't have one), just that some people on the forum are telling others not to worry the LCD is just as good as good as beautiful as AMOLED and that's just not true.
Also I have every Tab S Amoled made except the s5 and not one of them has Burnin or any significant loss of vibrancy. Personally if I couldn't deal with the 12" I would have stuck with my s6 over the s7 LCD.

Well... that's because Samsung does not sell QLED but half backed solutions only calling them QLED - there are even ads with references clarifying, what SAMSUNG means by "QLED".
I was referring to real quantum dot emitters, not having these color-offsets and color depended life time problems the (AM)OLED still has. Still hoping for next year...

I find if it looks good on my tablet it will look close to the same on my LG OLED....

Well - there you got it. Everybody here replays this marketing bla bla from sellers and samsung or reviewers (most likely from YouTube) putting the AMOLED superior to the LCD.
Please do not feel offended, I do not try to argue with you. All I want to say is that the quality of a display is not defined by simple "blackness" and slangs like "vibrancy". Even the slang "Natural color" is a hoax - OLED just cannot produce them. Samsung (like LG, Sony, etc.) tries to manipulate it towards, and might get quite close, but after a while, colors shift away. A nightmare for people have to relay on color accuracy.
Same for their algorithm to reduce the burn-in effect. I also have an OLED (older than 3 years). No notable burn-in - but the price you pay is pixel shift and out-greying. If you are sensitive to one: OLED is not for you. If you don't care or not even notice it: great!
To make it short: It's hard to say in general, if the LCD of the s7 is worse compared to the s4/s6 and even the s7+ OLEDs. Best is to grep one and see if it fits you needs. For a LCD the s7 is really good and same goes for the s7+ as an AMOLED. Both (techniques) have their strengths but also weaknesses. I was rather happy, when I found the s7, as I do not have to spend my soul for an iPad Pro + I do not have to care about unexpected color reworks as soon as I switch back to my PC.
However, still hating Samsung for their crappy S-Pen technique... But well - you get what you pay for
Thanks for the replies I appreciate the discussion and feedback .
I'm coming from an old Pixel C Tablet I just broke the thing trying to replace the battery. That unit lost android update support years ago but managed to stay alive through roms and LineageOS which was nice I looked forward to kind of lived for those updates like most nerds otherwise I probably would of replaced it long ago. I'm still running with my Nexus 6 on LineageOS updates.
So I wasn't really even thinking about replacing it but now that it gone may as well have some fun get something new and considering I usually keep my **** so long like 5 yrs I may as well try get the latest and the greatest.
At first didn't know what to get but didn't take long to realize there's really no new android tablet options out except Samsung which kind of sucks coz rooting flashing Samsung bit more complicated not as straight up easy for me as dealing with the pixel which is super easy. With Samsung knox I have to re-learn that mess not looking forward to that and seems alot of people having issues dealing with it
Anyways I only really use the tablet for watching videos it will never leave my house leaning towards the S7+ just trying to snag a deal is all

Keep in mind that - unfortunately - the situation for android tablets is a bit different nowadays.
Almost all new tablet specific features come from Samsung (Dex, etc.). Google and the other brands dropped tablet support almost completely. That implies also lineageOS - relaying on google - will most likely not offer new tablet specific features in the future. Hence, putting a custom rom on it will result in a draw back compared to One UI.
The good: with a s7/s7+ you will get all the new tablet specific stuff for 3 years and be up to the notch. As Samsung still tries to catch up to Apple that's the best you can get.
The bad: after 3 years you most likely will been stucked - or forced to make the step back to linageOS if you want Android 14+. Samsung managed to make porting their One UI features quite difficult.
However, time will tell. If google rediscover their tablet love, being again the driving android force for tablets, this situation will be totally different in 3 years.
When it comes to custom roms and video watching only: all I'm talking about will not be such of an issue, as all the mentioned features are more in the direction of writing, drawing, UI-integration, etc.
However, keep in mind that Netflix and other streaming portals suppress usage with rooted devices. Here the Knox counter is a big problem you might come over (e.g. via Magisk), but that needed to be supported by s.o. . Time will tell if the community will do, or not.
Moreover, reconsider the s7/s7+ completely. Both are rather expensive and target people using the Pen heavily (e.g. drawing, painting). Here you still need the fastest processor, as mush Ram as possible and a digitizer - and you have to pay for it. Have you considered going with a tablet w/o S-Pen?
If the question is only the ease to put custom rom on: well I'm rather sure here you will find the first noteworthy solution. And: simplifications of that will come later. But for Custom rom support I am not so optimistic: most owner would probably think like me, that most (unofficial) linageOS ports will lack the tablet features One Ui offers. Hence consider rooting and flashing not worth the hazel...
For better or worse I just pulled the trigger and ordered the Tab S7+, 256GB, sometimes just want to say WTF least I was able to snag a deal $582.61 before tax's free shipping. I'm sure I won't use take advantage of the pen but still nice to have all these premium features for a change.
Spending extra will be negligible considering how long i plan on keeping this thing. Hopefully years down the road when support ends there will me some other options to keep this thing alive .
Here's the slickdeals link below still an active deal if anyone's interested

Hello Markeee
I am in a similar situation like you.
Fortunately my pixel C is still working.
Nevertheless I am starting looking for a replacement.
How do you like the Samsung so far?
Did you root it?
I am really sceptical bec of all that Samsung bloatware and this other Samsung stuff, as well as the lack of custom ROMs. The hardware is for sure much better...
My use cases are mostly watching videos, web surfing, emailing. I love the external keyboard for my pixel c, i wonder if there is something similar in the Samsung world...
Greetings from Vienna!

From personal experience I find the screen on the Tab S7 to be brighter, more vibrant and with truer colors than on the Tab S6. I compared my S6 side by side with my wife's S7 while watching a video and the S7
's screen was much more pleasing to watch. The S6's screen was simply too dark so I lost detail in the shadows and the colors seemed muted even with the display set to Vibrant.
This sort of surprised me based on the comparison reviews I've seen that said the S6 had the better display.

Tab S6 newbie (Samsung newbie)

I just received my Tab S6. I'm a bit lost due to all it is capable of. I looked for a "Dummies" book to help me along, but didn't find anything other then a scammed book that shows the TabS6 on the cover, but is really about the S6 phone, not the tablet.
Biggest issue for me is the S-Pen. I've no clue how to use it. And when all the icons show up on the screen, there's no titles below then to tell me what they are or do.
I'm coming from an Nvidia Shield K1 tablet which was pretty much pure Android, and an LG G7 phone, but this Tab S6 is way different in abilities and function.
So, where can I find something like a "Dummies" book or similar, or training that will show me all the capabilities and how to use them (Dex included)? And also, is there a way to turn on titles for the icons that open up for the S-Pen and other things? I've scored YouTube but didn't really find what I'm looking for. I found mostly reviews and comparisons.
Thanks in advance!
Andy
Having had 4 Samsung phones and 3 tablets prior to the S6, I must admin that the official User Guide from the Samsung web site is the best I have seen from them so far and seems to cover everything I needed.

Thanks. I'll definitely give that a try. I was just hoping that there might be something else out there that delved a little deeper, possibly with tips and tricks, and workarounds.
