Where to buy from - Xiaomi Mi 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Let's get this started.
Looks like Amazon Spain and Italy have preorder up for €449 £400.

I think I will buy it in a month or two from Amazon Prime Italy

I only see the 64gb versions atm.

It's official i have ordered the black 6/128gb approx 1 week delivery.
The global version, in the Netherlands. Didn't expect that soon to be online.

Only downside is they seemingly don't have the 128gb, which I'm hopeful will be available soon in the UK along with the UK plugs. If not I guess I'll just have the 64gb. Currently will only cost around 380 euro which is dirt cheap!!

From what i have understood on the MWC presentation. It will be officially available on the 28 February.
Currently I only saw the 64gb in French and Italian store.
In Holland there is 128gb but only in black yet. But that was the color I want.

Yeah I'm torn between waiting to see if the 128gb with the UK plug becomes available, or just get the dirt cheap 64gb European plug...
Have you got a link to that one in Holland?

But they don't ship to UK. Other guy already tried.
But why so anxious about the UK plug? You can use or buy a charger with UK pins? Or else there are converters. I would choose that above 64gb.

Thanks for that, though I see they don't deliver to UK (couldn't select UK as delivery country option, only Netherlands or Belgium.
I think my preference to buy UK is yeah to have a UK plug but also should anything go wrong with it, I could deal with it here and not have to send the phone abroad etc. But I'm still open to the idea of getting a European plug device, so long as the price is good and 128gb! I'm just tempted to hold off for the 2 or 3 days, as it'd be great if I can then order from Amazon UK or even pick it up for the Xiaomi London store...

Anyone know where I can get the Blue 6gb/128gb version and shipped to the US?
So far, I've seen Giztop offering it for $610 USD but available at the end of March..

... or blue 128GB global version with shipping to CZechia ideally around 500eur that xiaomi advertised for 128g version.
Amazon IT/ES has only 64gb as stated in this thread

Wait or buy?

Hello!
I've been thinking about buying the Honor 7 for some months now. The only problem is that it's taking too long for the release in europe so I'm thinking of buying the chinese version.
I have some questions that I hope someone could help me with..
1. What are the difference between the models we have on the market today? Any model I should buy instead of the other ones?
2. Is there any drawbacks with buying a chinese model? Language problems? Google apps not working (so I read?)?
3. Should I wait for the European version or buy the chinese version?
Thank you for any answears!

I just ordered it yesterday in grey on vMall, but it still unprocessed
It's not possible to join them, neither by email /chat, neither by phone (busy ringing),
i'm disapointed about that :/
Let's see what will append next.
Just like LePocketPc I ordered it two days ago at night time and I should receive it on Monday with DHL delivery as well.
The payment process went well and they processed my order yesterday morning. I'm still surprised by how efficient they were on my order.
@m3zz3r On their email they wrote that they're only working from Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 therefore I doubt you'll get any answer from them before Monday. (they're located in France apparently, and the phone is shipping from London)
I'm in the UK and ordered on Friday. Order says not processed. They don't work at weekends and it's a holiday here on Monday. Hope they've got some stock on Tuesday It seems Expansys is handling the sales, in the UK anyway.
I've joined the club and gone for the EU version, for £210 seems a real bargain......only concern is the updates but it does have android 5.0 and ive read that 5.1.1 is currently in beta testing (HUKD)........ordered also late friday afternoon so not processed yet.....would be nice if it came next week but im looking at at least a few weeks....... a new phone to play with will be fun as ive had my LG G2 for a few years now, works great but boredom has set in......LOL
Anyone who's ordered had any indication of when it will be shipped?

Komplett has the white one in stock
The phone is now listed as 'Available' in my VMall order (France) !
Ordered mine on 'launch' day last week and still have it as being pre-ordered. How are people getting theirs already that ordered the day after I did? The lack of info for the actual shipping day is a bit frustrating.

Ordered mine sunday night and it shipped yesterday (monday) via DHL.
A few minutes ago I have received the banking details for my order dd. August 28 ...
The payment goes to Expansys also for German orders and to a German banking account.
I guess they will have received thousands of orders and will be a little bit busy now :silly:
Can someone confirm which version exactly came from VMall.eu?
My version is PLK-L01. Bought friday from vmall.eu
I'm in the UK. Placed an order on Friday and just received an email saying delivery expected in 2-3 weeks...unprecedented demand...hugely popular...blah blah.
Sent from my Vodafone Smart ultra 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Just had an email from vmall.eu - They say that it will take 2-3 weeks to get the phone. Seems a bit unfair given I ordered within an hour of it being live on the site on Thursday and others have ordered later and received theirs already.
And as a side rant, why on earth do manufacturers put themselves in this position. They know it will be popular, so have more stock. It isn't a rushed release or anything, so just be prepared for launches properly.

Yeah, unfortunately they do. But there's a method posted here that let's you unlock it without waiting for Xiaomi to send you the code. As long as you're on MIUI, you can flash stuff and root without much problems tho.

Well the site that I gave has EU warehouse for some equipments it took 2 working days to arrive; If you select EU clearance for selected equipments no VAT/Customs will be charged in PT;
If you don't select EU Clearance items will be sent for HK and then if you select shipment through DHL, DHL will be in charge of customs and VAT fees; Through normal Currier will be a matter of "luck" that the package is checked in Customs Control;

Preorder for Amazon gone

So do any of you guys know what's going on with the Preorder with amazon? For some reason it was delisted off the site yesterday.
I went looking for it this morning, given that it's now the 4th and noticed it is gone as well! There are some other bundles for $650 but they don't ship until July. What gives?!
Also, B&H still has the preorder but no date.
-Collin-
The b&h bundle use to say beginning of March for shipping but now they took that off also. Wow July that would be a huge delay. I think the only way we can find out is if amazon sent an email to anybody that pre-ordered.
I was looking this morning, too. I found them from other sellers at varying rates. http://www.amazon.com/LG-Unlocked-P...psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

I can't speak to the pre-orders for the USA. But here in Spain the device goes and comes. There was the pre-order for 700 with the battery pack and camera module. Now it's only the camera module and it's shipping now for 640 euros. There were others with no add-ons for 560. I was going to get the one with no add-ons but they disappeared and sold out within a day. They had 10... Lol.

That's correct, but if you live outside of Europe, double-check the bands for compatibility on your carrier.
B&h just got the titan in Stock but the silver is coming on may 11. I think may 11 is when I'm gonna get my bundle because all the friends comes at the date also.

Any way to pre-order in the US?

Is there any website that would ship to the US? I really wish I could jump on the deal on the UK that comes with free watch GT and free wireless charger but I know that won't happen but is there at least a website that would sell the phone and ship to the US? Or we are stuck with having to wait months until they start showing up on swappa and ebay?

Thanks! I thought about it again an since I would not qualify for the free gift it would be $1,180 for literally just the phone since the supercharge 2.0 would not be compatible with US plug. Being able to charge 70% in 30 minutes was one of the big pros for buying this phone but without that I think I'll have to hold on with the Note 9 for a long time, maybe when the S10+ comes out I'll compare with this and if Mate 20 pro is still better I'll look again a way to buy it cheaper then

You can pre-order a Mate 20 PRO on Amazon.co.uk. The models do not appear to be carrier specific, which I assume means they are unlocked. Amazon specifies in the listing that "This item does not ship to the United States." Undeterred, I decided to see whether I could order the device and specify a US shipping address, which worked fine.
Questions:
Will amazon ship the item to the US even though it says it won't? When might they catch the error?
Are these UK devices unlocked? The listing does not say unlocked, but they are also not tied to any specific carrier.

Well it's nice they didn't charge you VAT. Will you use an US to UK adapter for the supercharger 2.0 plug or will you just use another slower charger and type C cable (when not using wirleess charging) to charge the phone?
I wonder if Huawei is planning on manufacturing at all any superchargers 2.0 with the US plug
About the watch and and wireless charger unfortunately all the websites I've seen specify in bold and/or red letters that gifts are claimed on hauwei website after receiving the phone (similar to samsung gifts) and they'll be shipped ONLY to UK address. So you'd qualify but you'd still need a UK address :/

VAT in EU averages 20%. America does not have this. So instead of 1300$ shipped the phone was 1000$.
As far as the gift, I plan on using a mail forwarding service. They provide a UK address and forward the package to you for like 30$.

Where to buy from?

Let's get a list of places where this will be selling including importing.
WondaMobile expecting to ship by Oct 15th. This is with 256gb rom £759 which is slightly cheaper than UK pricing with double storage. https://www.wondamobile.com/sony-xperia-5-ii-8gb-ram-256gb-sim-free-unlocked.html
Otto (and maybe others?) offers a promotion product (Sony »WF-1000XM3 True Noise Cancelling«) additional to the mobile: https://www.otto.de/p/sony-xperia-5...2-mp-kamera-1225041412#variationId=1225041413
It is already available here in Sweden since a few days ago for ca 865€ bundled with WH1000XM3 headphones.
I am waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro but this is tempting too. I could buy it, sell the headphones and get some of the cash back so phone will be closer to my budget but I am not sure if I wanna do that since the front camera is same as on Xperia 1 II and that one was so crappy according to user reviews so what if this one is crappy too. Also no 30w or faster charging like on Chinese brand phones.
Any other places selling the 256gb model?
Be good to know if there is any way to get hold of the elusive grey model here in the UK. Not interested in black or blue, but the overseas sites like Expansys only have black blue or pink. Grey seems to be available in Europe, but not UK - unless Vodafone get it as an exclusive colour which they normally do with Xperias.
Vodafone always last to the party adding Xperias to their site though which is annoying.

Yes, exactly. Poor front camera and also missing wireless charging / face unlock are the real issues that bugs me on such a nice phone for US$950. Still can't understand why Sony used such a bad Samsung (!) sensor on their top tier "Photo Pro" smartphone. That's ridiculous!
Buy swedish products from the UK

Is there anyway you know I can get the Sweden deal from the UK? In the website it appears you can only use Sweden as country for delivery.
That grey model + the better WH1000 compared to the h.ear 3 headphones looks really enticing.

Would love the same thing. Doesn't look like its possible. Really annoying Sony hasn't given the UK the grey model.
£655 at tecobuy https://www.tecobuy.co.uk/en_UK/sony-xperia-5-ii-5g-daul-sim-8gb-256gb-blue-5.html
Tecobuy who claim to have a great Trustpilot rating? Check out their reviews on there before sending them any money

I don't think so unfortunately.
I think all Sony deals are country specific.
Belsimpel had a 300€ cashback offer on Xperia 1 II so could get the phone for ca 735€ after cashback but only if you have a NL address.
Same with this offer, you need Swedish address.
I preordered the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro for 650€. They are giving away Xiaomi Mi Essential Electric Scooter worth ca 300€ for free if you pre order before 21st October.
For me that's a better deal since I don't need headphones and I find the scooter more useful.

For any US buyers I highly suggest getting it from WondaMobile. I ordered mine last Wednesday 10/21/20 and selected free shipping. It was listed as 9-12 business days, but I just got it yesterday 10/26/20. Even shipping from Hong Kong it got here that fast. WondaMobile pays import taxes if you are outside of Europe, and you get more than one color, 5G support, 256gb. I ordered the blue model and it worked with my existing TMobile sim out of the box. It cost me 955 USD, 5 dollar premium to Sony's direct pricing the US, except you the more colors, 256gb, and you get it before December. Sadly no bonus goodies like some EU sellers, but it is easily the best way to get your hands on one in the US.

Does unlock mean the bootloader is also unlocked?
Btw, "... and install essential apps" and "Our software preparation exceeds that of all competitors." sounds fishy comming from an HK (China) reseller
bol.com has quite cheap prices
