In op step 6 says type "shrp" if it asks for password.

Custom rom works fine, it only cant decrypt miui it seems, tried it and decrypt with twrp but after reflashing shrp it didnt detect the decrpytion and asks for password

A: Make sure you formatted data partition.

A: Because old rom encrypted your data partition and new rom can't decrypt and use that content / root needs access to data partition to place misc files / phone not booting after flashing root until data partition gets formatted.

I had an issue installing, the script ended with this error: "failed to mount /preload (invalid argument)"
I rebooted to recovery, and Sky Hawk logo appeared, and I was in the new recovery. Seems to be working.

Great recovery project. Love the UI. Problem is it's not updated and some developers recommend using latest TWRP for flashing recent builds. Any issues and rom developer doesn't want to help as the issue could relate to using a lower TWRP version. What we call un-necessary headaches.
Cannot install on TWRP 3.3.1. Flashes fine, reboot to recovery but left with same old blue TWRP

-Works just fine where the latest TWRP version throws EROR 7
-Keep all the settings when uou mess with /data (Fox gets erased all the time)
There was few Realme and TWRP updates for our device + SHRP v2.3 rolled out. Hope, you didn't abandoned this wonderful project. Thanks again!
This recovery looks good but works very poorly
- The decrypt pattern is unresponsive at first (you have to hold the first circle for a real second or two).
- After doing a factory reset it got stuck and forced me to do a hard reboot (Volume UP + Down +Power)
- I pushed a file that somehow didn't show up ( used the same command after re-installing TWRP and it was there)
- The filesystem explorer seem to be missing files at times|
So I'm back on the good old original TWRP
[edit] Maybe I'll have to try yesterday's update)

Hey guys, so I had TWRP installed with current LoS18 running. I wanted to switch to SHRP to use the unroot feature. After installing SHRP and restarting to recovery, I was not able to decrypt with my PIN(Password failed).
Do you have any tips on that?

I sometimes have a problem with my external SD card, the screen briefly goes black and then the ext. SD disappeared. Only a restart of the recovery helps.

Double tap to wake works when you lockscreen and then tap power button to turn it on then turn if off again or Remove registered fingerprint, it will work
Incase if you don't get incall screen ui, you probably have to select default dialer

Everything seems working fluidly except the fingerprint on AOD sometimes doesn't work!
Also, battery usage is very reasonable (it's still early days, but promising so far):

Perfectly working in sensor box app but doesn't do anything in apps like phone/WhatsApp/messenger!

Doesn't on other devices too with AOSP.
Anyways, it will be fixed on next update.

No f2fs support in AOSP I guess, & this is based on my previous work in lineage-17.1 which is device specific.

@Karthick Can you confirm decryption is working in orange fox? I can't get data decrypted in the recovery suggested in the OP, mine is in f2fs currently.

Using pin or password? Only pattern supports it for now with current recovery
hello. how to install magisk ? everytime i install magisk.zip in recovery, i get stuck on boot loop into fastboot mode and not boot into system.

it doesn't work buddy, when i flash your recovery with minimal adb & fastboot, my phone bricked. then i flash twrp to my phone again with same way, the problem solved

seems strange, i tested it on surya, both .zip file and .img and everything is working fine, karna still has some major problems

maybe i was made something wrong, i will try it again
I flashed it, and now nothing works. First time in my Android-History i got a screen "The System has been destroyed - Press Power Button to shotdown". I only able to get into fastboot, nothing more.
So tomorrow i will try to flash twrp via fastboot.

1. flashed using .zip file or .img?
2. surya (x3 nfc) or karna (x3, indian version)?
3. yeah, flashing twrp will solve issue
4. unfortunately, for the moment i don't have neither time neither a PC to fix bugs and create new releases, i'm sorry.
5. Working perfectly on Surya (X3 NFC), unfortunately karna has major problems but it still should be atleast booting so i really don't know

I've seen that in between surya is officially supported by SHRP, but have a different maintainer there (rxuglr).
Anyway, I'm a little confused about all this.
Both well known Custom Recoveries (TWRP as well as OrangeFox, which is also based on TWRP, AFAIK) don't support surya, but SHRP does - are the problems of TWRP & OrangeFox solved in SHRP, especially supporting dynamic partitions (which AFAIK was a huge problem for a long time), and is a full system backup supported?
I read that best working Custom Recovery should be the one developed by @brigudav (currently v. 3.7.x?), but I really have no current overview.
As far as I remember, I also read that not every Recovery supports every Android version.
Does everyone have experiences about that?
