Yo! A few questions for you good people:
● Can firmware "for s905x2" work on all boxes with that chipset?
● If I flash a TWRP for s905x2 and it doesn't work, how can I get stock recovery back?
● Has anyone successfully installed Poison or atvXperience on the A95X?

I've just acquired this TV box (A95X MAX) and it's all new to me. I'd like to make it mine and get rid of the awful launcher. I'd also like to have more control over the device, which would mean for me to get TWRP onto the box. I found a tutorial about putting TWRP on AMLOGIC boxes with a version for s905x2 chipsets (by ViT), link included in tutorial. In the Android phone world it seems every device needs its own version of TWRP, so I don't want to flash TWRP and brick my box. If I mess up and disable recovery, how could I get stock recovery back?
Having TWRP on the box should standardise making improvements, rather than use dedicated stuff supplied by the manufacturer and to be used over a USB connection. I'd know what I was doing with TWRP, but there is a greater risk of my screwing things by using weird software.
Can I really flash "generic" software for s905x2 systems safely on the A95X MAX? Not just TWRP, but ROMs mentioned on this forum (atvXperience and Poison)?
(And I gotta get rid of this crap launcher. Just gotta.)

wanna change default crap lean launcher, you can try atv launcher pro.
Was able to install atvxperiance v3a on a95x max PCB v81. I love it. Early development. Some problems. Where can I find poison? I'm willing to try it out.

-camera need patch to work, i have 2013 phone
-i have replaced superuser with supersu 2.49, no error... Yet...
-when is activated immersed status bar for miui6 is conflicts with some aplications like zipme, visit paris by metro, witch by the way its a must have app when you use paris metro
-battery drains a little faster then 5.9.10 and 5.9.11
-modem is v44 not v47, patched to version 47
-to be continued...

Tested sound no problem
Hi All,
I am using MIUI7 custom ROM,
The issue is my flashlight is always on (dim light) ..... If i use the torch or camera app, it will lit brightly but if not being used then it will be on (dim). Any help ??
Also can anyone share the phone storage info after installing this custom ROM, not sure but for me the internal storage is 1GB only and i am having hard time managing the apps. Not sure ... internal memory in About Phone section shows 6 GB available out of 8 GB but Additional Settings >> Storage shows internal storage as 113 MB of 1.05 GB available. Also SDCard2 is coming a read only.. and if i modify it or reformat it my phone goes to unusable state... i mean all apps gone...wallpaper gone... only basic frmework of miui works.

So after installing this rom on my G550T1 , I didn't have any sound at all but rom was silky smooth and I like it a lot. I know this rom was made for the G550FY ,maybe that why no sound. But could developer Sanjuboy please fix this issue?

i have g550t1 and yes it boots fine and no there was no LTE issue at all. What i meant was i tried flashing the sound fix which broke LTE. Not a surprise as it was written for a diff phone. Just tried it out and restored.
Another thing is at one point i got grace ux working with sound but it was with the first version that OP posted on youtube which has a link that is down.
The way i got it to work was restoring his backup and then installing czarstuperstar's rom over it. Like a dirty flash over it.
I tried this today with the second version of OP's rom which is different from his newest graceux/dreamux mix. It booted up fine and sound even worked but it was very buggy.
Have not tried this method with his newest but i did install it for a while today and it works like a charm minus all sound even call sound.
BTW it was you that commented on sanjuboy's youtube and encouraged him to make this thread right? Thanks for that btw
P.S @sanjuboy have you found any method for getting sound to work on g550t1? Any ideas? I saw a youtube video in another language with a link to a replacement other.xml to be used for fixing bugs in your rom. I tried replacing it and then i deleted another css file that it told me to in the video but it didnt do anything. Also tried installing xposed over your new rom and it caused a bootloop. Does xposed work on it in g550fy? i noticed that root worked fine for me.

I will try do some of those potential fix and see wat I can come up with, you seems to have greater idea on wat to do, than me on these things. Thank you for your effort, hoping sanjuboy is working on something to fix sound.

um yeah its easy to build linage os if a lineage based rom has been already ported to your phone but that hasnt happened.
the kernel source needs to be worked on is what i understand and i dont really have the time or exp to do that. i have thought about it though and i may do it eventually im just hoping someone that its easier for does it. the kernel is open source but i hear that its very buggy. when you say that you found a method for porting lineage do you mean to this phone specifically or just porting it in general because porting methods are well known but not this for phone in specific

i have metro pcs and it didnt work.
kind of shocked that this worked on t1 as this is a known problem with graceux ports to t-mobile/metropcs variants
im not 100% but i think the only diff between g550t and t1 is the css files and i deleted those and even used a modded one and no luck so i doubt it works on t-mobile but not metropcs. Can you tell me your method for install and any variables that might account for you success?

Guys if you want to port lingage os for galaxy on5 then take j5 lingage os with no problem. Becouse i tried with that os and my phone is boots up with no problem but after showing samsungs logo it again reboot and again so on....
So please have some view on j5 lingage os may be it can work for this device

it didn't boot up to home screen?, so you couldn't say it boot up ok then if it bootloop at the Samsung logo? ,that still a major issue.

I do not have a N9108V, I suggest you try it. Flash it in TWRP. If it is sucessful, you tell all of us. If failed, it is also no big problem, just flash back the stock kernel of N9108. You can extract the stock Kernel from N9108 ROM, the file name is "Boot.img".

OK so for now let's say that a clean install seems to be in order to make it works.

weeklies are signed, the beta builds were homemade and hence not signed. that's why you can't move between the two without a wipe.
Clean install first official weekly. Everything seems OK for now! Thanks a lot.
I have do clean installation,system run pretty smooth than last nightly build,fingerprint fast to set up also very accurate and some new minor features added in this official weekly build.but one thing doesn't works,the battery watt and current value on lockscreens show 0

Watt and current didnt properly work in nightly either

Also i have encountered some bugs
1. overheating issues
2. sound stops Working after a while (even with headphones)
3.Current and Watt not Working (already mentioned)
4. no in/output on calls

No such bug for me,phone call works properly also loudspeaker,all sound working even with headphone

Okay.....i fixed it....after flashing DSP label fixer everything worked......but i wasnt in a oreo Rom before...i was in treble Pie

This rom is only for single SIM variant so dual SIM variant don't work

Flashing this ZIP should be enough to enable dual SIM support. At least it worked on the other custom ROMs made for Xperia X single SIM variant that I tried...
My phone state is
Android -: OPM1.WW_Phone-17.2018.2002.29-20200409
Non rooted device,
After update android 10 problem is-:
1)Battery drain fast than android 9
2) Delay charging time
3)video recording lag
4) In camera app noise reduction option not working, it still off.
5) some app not working well or misbehave, may be it is not supported android 10.
6)when I press power button+vol down button to go recovery option but it not there only shows "no command". Means Recovery option missing.
Pls comment anybody same problem happen or any other problem in Android 10

But I don't want to downgrade hope asus solved the problem next update..but I am enjoying with new version...
Install custom rom
In my case, I made my device root at Android9 of stock rom and install custom rom of Android10. I like the building the custom rom by myself and love "BlissRoms-Next".

I had installed aproximately 10 kind of custom roms.
As final I found the best Rom with solving the issue at stock rom.
Additionally I can experience many new functions that stock rom does not have.
After flashing Android 10 to pie downgrade zip I am facing ghost touch issues

So many bugs in android 10 beta Don't flash it guys
Take bug report and SMMI test. Then send all reports to [email protected] or else go to asus support contact page send via email us option.
