I'll gradually add more photos.
See the watermark to differentiate the phones.
Images without watermark were captured with the Google Pixel Port (in the dark with Nightsight)
Images were captured via point and shoot, both "AI" Features are enabled. Google Pixel with HDR+
If i have time left i'll add images from my Girlfriends Xiaomi Mi8 as well.
03/09/2019 update: image update with 14 new images
03/10/2019 update: image update with a lot of new images

Thank you so much for this comparison! Which one do you think is better?

Sometimes Mi9 and other time Huawei.
The Dog picture is the MI9 real bad.

Mate 20 dominates in low light but that's no surprise.

Mate looks better in most situations but I think with manual mode and some editing you might be able to obtain similar results.

Mate looks way better than Mi 9.

NPU in terms of Semantic Image Segmentation Technology in Honor 10

When referring to Kirin 970, HP fans always discuss its AI technology powered by an independently built-in NPU. But what does the NPU bring to camera? Now, I’ve got two sample photos to explain this.

These two pictures cited from Honor Forum China describe the Semantic Image Segmentation Technology of Honor 10. The picture on the top is the original one and the one on the bottom was from AI. From these two pictures we can see that the trees and grass are glorious of color in the latter picture, while the lady and the horse are sharper and clearer. The reason for this phenomenon is that the SIST is able to identify multiple objects in one single image. In other words, it can pinpoint the outlines of the trees, the grass, the lady, and the horse separately in this picture. Then it automatically processed these objects respectively and automatically adjusts your camera settings to help you shoot like a professional photographer. So in this case, the NPU did work and made the photo more attractive and professional.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite Vivid mode?

Hi is there a way to enable Vivid mode? for Huawei Mate 10 Lite.

I used to have the Huawei Honor 7X, very similar to the 10 Lite, probably even had the same panel.
To be honest, for an LCD screen, it was VERY colourful and vivid, yet bright with deep blacks, pretty amazing since it was not AMOLED yet looked like one.
Trick is, play with the colour calibration tool, this is what I did, it will further increase colour making the picture more vivid. Simply put your phone in split screen mode, then open a vivid/colourful picture and at the same time the colour calibration tool.
Play around/experiment with the calibration tool whilst looking at the image. Once the image is vivid enough, save the calibration.
In my case, this was the best result:

Is the aperture broken? Picture.

The apperture look like the blades arnt fully retracted for f1.5, it has a star like shape instead of normal big wide opening like in the telephoto camera.
This happened while doing some long exposures.
It fully opens in live focus mode only, in auto it stays like this until you expose to high light then it closes but mostly will stay like this.
This exynos version is really bad, I managed to barely squeeze 7 hrs of SOT (instead of 4:30 5) but....the constant 40 'C burning in my pocket is unacceptable.
I'll be sending this back since I can return it in 30 days.
I hope the note 9 wont have the same issues.
Also that iris scanner is much slower than the note 8s one:crying:
The picture doesn't work, but from your description it does indeed sound like an issue.
Things should look like the picture from this article (right under the photo of the blue & purple phone).

Ill put here another image, now it only does this in the stock app.
https://imgur.com/a/SvZ8hKV sorry for the shakyness.
Wont bother with a factory reset, will keep it as is and return it on the 24 rt and get an N9.

Huawei mediapad M5 playstore/youtube

Hi All,
i just bought a new Huawei mediapad M5. It looks quite good but it has a huge down site. It´s the size off "icons" when content is displayed. I don´t know how to really describe it.

The preview of the Galaxy Note fits much more "items" then the Huawei one. I googled a lot and only found something for the Iconsize (which is also annoying)
Anyone an idea where this is coming from or how to solve this? I do not want to root my new device!
regards,
The size of icons etc may decrease if you use the full resolution of the tablet and disable smart resolution (will need a reboot to apply). It's not something I've noticed or cared about to be honest. You can read about what smart resolution is and how to turn it off here. https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/huawei-mate-20-pro-tips-tricks/
The DPI will be a big factor as well
Go to setting >display>change view mode to small. This should make playstore become 4 columns.
Be nice to know if this worked to help people looking to buy.

Unboxing HUAWEI P30 Pro 2019
Since every tech YouTuber has been praising the Huawei P30 Pro, I just had to get in the bandwagon to see if this all-in-one super smartphone camera can take on the role of a travel companion and good enough to replace mid-range digital cameras.
