my phone touch doesnt respond after flashing ros - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

had miui 9.6.25 stock, eu miui 10, miuipro 9.1.24, oos 9.04 port .......all with no issues !(the only issue i had was with twrp not responding to swipe to unlock)
I then flashed revolution os 9.3.7 and it worked fine until i restarted to find the touch isnt responding(no swipe to unlock) so i used mi flash tool to flash fast boot old miui 9.6.25 ......flash succeeded but stuck at the setup screen coz still no touch response!(volume and power buttons work fine, phone charges fine).
any clue? I really dont want to visit the local xiaomi service center
EDIT: well, seems that poco isnt 100% developer friendly coz my phone ragained touch after flashing global stable 10.2 fastboot rom using mi flash tool(to me this means you cant go back to miui 9 using fastboot rom!)
thank u mr.xiaomi!!!!!

No Mi device except the MI Note Pro gets Lollipop MIUI atm. Our Mi Pad will be upgraded to Lollipop when MIUI 7 gets released (although there's no ETA for it yet).
For better experience with Mi Pad I suggest that you replace MIUI with CM11. It will completely change your experience.
Hi Kage, congrats for your new Mi Pad.
Regarding your query, Mi Pad will get 5.0 sooner with MIUI 7.
For the transparent notification bar, you need to update your MIUI rom to developer or china rom. Since you are on stable rom, your notification area is of grey color.
Hope I helped you.

my mipad is acting strange lately.
can't seem to turn on the wifi. right now it is showing stuck on with
'Turning Wi-Fi on...'
what i have done so far :
1.restart/reboot multiple times
2.fastboot flash using latest stable global miui.(originally i bought this from china, so the original stock rom was indeed a chinese version.)
i still hope its not a hardware issue coz that would be totally suck big time.
anyone know how to fix this. please, i really need help here guys.

Boot to recovery.
Work down the list:
Wipe cache
Wipe data
Wipe/ reset.
Reboot after each one and check.
It should resolve it.

Mi Pad has been updated to a stripped down "MIUI 7" that is based off of 4.4 Kit Kat. Sadly.
Miui 7 is fine even if based on kit kat, had mine 15 months rock solid performance a great investment
Back on stock recovery and no root
hows the performance on the latest stable MIUI 7 rom for this tablet?

I can confirm this works. I replaced my screen on my Redmi Note 3 and afterward no custom roms would recognize touch input. Installing the Agni kernal (https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...kernel-02-10-2016-agni-purecm-n-v1-7-t3472640) before installing Lineage OS 14.1 official (https://download.lineageos.org/kenzo) fixed the problem.

First flash eu miui 8.11.8 and then upgrade from the "update app" to eu miui 8.11.15 (you can download this from xiaomi.eu and choose it from the app).
Everything works fine for me.

MIUI 12 for curtana

Hello.
Has anybody tried fastboot version of MIUI12 for curtana? https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/curtana/
you can find other version here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/curtana/
Installed and being trying it for 3 days now. Everything works perfectly. For my day to day usage I can't say I've noticed any big differences from MIUI 11 (I was using xiaomi.eu 11.0.11.0). Usage does feel smoother and the battery does last longer, although I have no documented evidence to show. I removed the bloatware as per the 11.0.10.0 guide and I've found no bugs. All in all I'm happy with this ROM.
Edit: Just wanted to meantion the MIUI camera app. There are no added features. No clone mode and no kaleidoscope mode. The only difference from the MIUI 11 camera app is the new MIUI 12 visual.

# The MIUI 12 rom is a fastboot rom so you must flash it through MI Flasher. Make a backup first and search a guide on how to flash without locking the phone again! See this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-9-pro/how-to/tutorial-how-to-revert-to-official-t4109831
Hey @gde.spencer , can you help me to choose the right firmware?
What is the difference between Recovery and Fastboot? Or do you need both?
Which is the better version Global or EEA?

The fastboot version is installed via MiFlash whilst the phone is in fastboot mode. Use this to flash "as new".
The recovery version is like an OTA update (I think. Never used one).
I don't know which version is better (global vs eea) because I flash as a base for custom roms.
I have the Redmi Note 9s 6/128GB Global Model.
I want to flash the Indian Firmware so I will get the MIUI contacts and dialer (and call recorder).
Can someone please check if the Indian ROM has the HEBREW language, it should look like this:"עברית" under languages.
I will be glad for your help.

Thank you a lot my good friend, I will now flash it
For anyone else wondering, the Turkish fastboot ROM (QJWTRXM) installs fine on a global Note 9S (QJWMIXM). Everything works as far as I can tell, and all the languages are there (though call recording isn't, at least in the default Google Dialer app).

Recovery is the "OTA" ROM you install with MIUI's built-in update mechanism or a custom recovery like TWRP. Fastboot is a bit more low-level, you restart your phone into fastboot mode, connect it to a computer and use a program that manually overwrites the data on the phone's partitions, a bit like using dd on Linux or disk cloning/backup software. There's also EDL mode, which is the same as fastboot but it's built into the hardware itself, so it works even if you manage to brick fastboot somehow. On recent Xiaomi phones, it requires an authorized Mi account (or a patched ROM, or someone willing to sell you authorizations over the internet).
Global and EEA are pretty much the same thing, but EEA ROMs are intended for the European Economic Area (the EU) so they have to comply with additional regulations like having to let you choose your browser and search engine or something. As a side note, I live in the EU and pretty much every store over here is selling the Global variant of the 9S instead of the EEA one. Global ROMs are "better" in the sense that they tend to be more up to date (as of me writing this, global is on MIUI V11.0.11 and EEA is still stuck on V11.0.4).

Question MIUI just can't work on my phone. Crashes, Reboots

Hey everyone, I have the Indian variant of Redmi note 10 (mojito) 4/64.
I was using pixel experience for quite a long time, but after PE 12 I switched back to MIUI. It was working fine, then all of a sudden the phone switched off and started rebooting itself. Now it always crashes and reboots again and again on MIUI ROMs (both Stock and Modded). But it works perfectly on custom roms like AOSP based ones.(pixel os, PE+). I cant figure out what's causing this issue. but I get the same error even on MIUI 12.
Also, the stock camera app crashes in MIUI and macro camera just doesn't work at all.
Any idea why this is happening? Thanks
