Sarcasm? Really? It's very useful for work phone and personal phone. Don't have to carry 2 phones.

what i meant is this:
my device is Redmi Note 3 Pro SnapDragon 650 version or Kenzo
i'm using hard case for solid, not like clear case with soft tpu
look @ OP image, he didn't make hole for easy changing sim card, so i'm suggesting make a hole on his soft case (like mine) and using duck tape or something for finishing (preventing the sim card hanging out from case)

Sorry bro it felt like sarcasm to me great work by the way, but I simply stick the sim to the memory card and use it to keep the splash prrof intact.

Thanks. What size did you order? And does bending the cable cause issues?

Can you share an image from the side? Want to see how it looks from the side. Thanks

But you don't need one ugly mess like that . Just don't use Micro SD instead use 2 sim cards.

Carry an extra 64GB card on the phone without a Case

So i decided when I travel I wanted to have a way to carry my 2nd 64GB card with me on the phone itself with without having to packet it in my bag. So I decided to trim the SIM card on one side to allow for the spare SD card to travel next to the sim card.
Here are the results:

The back cover of the phone seats just fine with no bulge. The sim card sits fine and the signal fires right up.
I just wish the phones would let you Hot Swap the card!!!

Yeah , I know, but isn't that what we said when 16GB cards were the big thing, then again when 32GB came out?
I enjoy keeping a large selection of movies and TV shows on the cards so I can watch on my phone or laptop or Hotel TV when I travel. Now that cards are getting bigger it is nice to have a higher resolution on the cards that can be played on any size screen.

Same here, love that mod. gonna use it for my extra 16G microSD. Always good to have some extra movies/tv shows invade u get tired of what u.ve already watched.

FWIW, I was able to stash an extra memory chip in the same spot without modifying the sim-card. The back fit just fine with no noticeable deformities or issues coming on and off.

How could one hot swap on the 717 Note when the battery sits in front of the SD card?

I would be afraid to loose all that.
I can never fill up 32GB anyways. When I do it's all NANDROID backups and so much music, I could never listen to it all...
None the less, great DIY mod.

Wow, that guy makes it look pretty easy yeah I might try my hand at replacing the SIM card slot too, as i damaged it somewhat already (bad attempts at cutting a mini-SIM to micro-SIM )
According to the VIDEO I saw, remove the socket that, by knife (disposable) .. OK
And return the socket, just click and click and that's it? , No need glue?
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Tomer

Depends if the new socket has some sticky tape/glue on its backside, like the original. Otherwise you'll have to use some yourself..double-sided tape should do the trick.

I bet you could do something with a Capta from 2040 Studios - you would just need to find some way to attach it to the mic stand, like this from Amazon. I have a Capta and use it to mount my Note 3 in my car (using a suction-mounted tripod mount).

You could do something like this But that would require not only buying the case and tripod attachment but also modifying the attachment with the spacer shown under it.
That doesn't look like it will work, but thanks for the reply.

hey NICE !! I have several of the "single arm" versions of that I really like that this one has double arms for a better "hold" on the phone.
you confirmed it fits the note 3? would be worth the extra $5 for the more secure hold with the double arms!
Will this attach to a car rear view mirror?

Yes, it is very secure, and my N3 fits perfectly.
Yes, you can clamp it to your rear view mirror, (the police will really get a kick outta that one)
I got the quad grip and its AMAZING. so so so much better a grip. I would not trust it to hold it on my bike but for my goose-neck its fantastic and interchanges perfectly!
Has anyone tried to record videos while using a stand like this? I'd love to be able to use a tripod with my phone, but I don't think a full-height one is available. Mounting on a mike stand would work perfectly for me.

[Q] One Max sim reader broken metal pins

I just purchased Verizon One Max phone and messed up sim reader pins. Is there anyway to fix this by self. I called htc and they told me it could cost between 130 to 300 bucks.

What I meant was that there r 6 pins that makes connection with sim card in the slot. I was using an adapter nano to micro and that adapter
When try to pull it out it broke those pin coz they got stuck on it. It's hard to take pic bcoz the damage is hard to see.

So I am pretty sure that the silver cover is snapped on there with metal tabs. Take the sticker off the sim holder and take a look. Maybe if you can get that off you will get a better idea?

That is awesome, was this a difficult process? Just curious as I hate the idea of a non removable battery and would like to hope I could tear it down and replace it myself if needed.

You've got bigger cajones than me. This sort of stuff is far too fiddly for my liking
If it ain´t broke, don´t fix it Take good care and use a protective case and your phone will be good for at least 2 years ( until you get to choose a new device from your mobile provider ).
I have to say the battery is fiercely glued in. If you want to see how to change the battery, you can come to Witrigs.com/blog to see the process. Hope it does help.

Is there any information regarding the headphone jack audio amplifier chip?
The most intimidating thing about taking this apart is the glass over the camera area. Sure, I might get it out but not breaking it in the process is going to be tough much less getting it back without the glue looking like crap.
