Tmobile gave me this tablet for free. I was wondering is anyone was able to successfully root and use ps4 remote play? I've read conflicting information saying some people lost the cellular data and only wifi worked.

i'm just wondering since i have tons of data available on my cell data plan and am allowed to share it for free. Can we get a usb internet key to work or is wifi hotspot from my phone the only way it will work?

Being totally honest here, I'm missing my ability to play on-line poker, Full Tilt to be specific, and now I'm wondering if by tethering my laptop if I can make my cellphone have my laptop believe I am not where I am.
The reason I thought of this was because on-line was blocked where I live before the entire USA was blocked, however when I visited an establishment such as Kryspy Kreme I could play, because they routed their network through a different state & so, my computer believed I was someplace else & therefore Full Tilt thought I was someplace else. By the same token, I couldn't play at any Starbucks, because all their traffic was routed through a state which blocked it.
Thank you in advance & maybe I've given some people something to think about & try to do.

BBC iPlayer and TuneIn Radio will not play on my Android TV using Ethernet.
They both behave as though I had no internet connection and say I must connect to WiFi or phone data.
I saw a fix which does not work, to add FALSE to qaWifiOnlyMode.txt file, and put that in the root of the device, but this does not work.
I imagine that someone who knows a lot about hacking would find this easy to do, but I've looked for an answer for two days, and not found one.
Any boffins out there know how to sort this one?

I tried different apk versions but it still give me cannot register message when I try to connect to ps4 outside home over cellualer or even WiFi ? If anyone knows how to solve that Please help me through this problen:crying:
So the official APK for PS4 Remote Play is out, but the problem is that it refuses to connect if not on a Wifi connection of some sort.
- Is it possible to edit this restriction out of the APK?
- Is it possible to fake pretending to be on Wifi? I saw something about qaWifiOnlyMode.txt but it didn't seem to work against this. Preferably non-root, if possible.
I was going to ask the same thing? Any solutions or work arounds?
The dev's thatvported it to all androids back in the beginning had got that one goin with cellular networks. I was hoping they could do it with the official one now
We need an updated app that can fake a wifi connection. There was an xposed module that did it but it no longer works and hasnt been updated for years
