Custom rom with airpods support - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anybody know of any custom ROMs with built in airpods support? (auto pause and play when one is removed, notification, battery status) I've tried apps from the play store but they can be unreliable. I believe airpods could work perfectly with Android if baked in at the system level, or an Xposed module. Thanks!

(Q) About CM AudioFX and Equalizer.

I really like the AudioFX in the CyanogenMod ROMs, unfortunately, it's effects just for only Music app, when I use other apps like MX Player, Youtube or directly from Browser,... It hasn't effects.
- I've searched and used some alternative Equalizer Apps but it's not better than AudioFX with the best function is: Auto detect the Output (Headphone, Speaker, Bluetooth, USB,...)
- I also tried the Viper4Android, It's nearly similar but always requires have to installed Busybox for Driver's Installation and rooted.
- The DSP Equalizer is same with AudioFX, no more especial.
So somebody has another solution?
Or somehow to apply CM AudioFX'effects for all other app or System?

muted audio after setting up daydream app

Hey guys, has anyone ever seen this? I set up daydream and all audio gets permadently muted on my phone. I can wipe data from the google vr services and it comes back but enxt time i use daydream the same thing happens.
i am fully stock on a pixel xl running 7.1.1 with the latest January updates. Same occurred before this weeks security updates.
never mind i fixed it by going into vr helper services and untoggling and retoggling the google vr services option.

Mono audio system-wide on any OS

I'm curious, because it's easy to have mono audio on computer but I can't find any xposed module or anything that will swap two stereo channels into one (I can change balance only). I know that cyanogenmod has such option, but I don't want to hardbrick my device, after many weeks I've installed AOKP Marshmallow and its working fine on my Zenfone 2 device. Boeffla Sound Control doesn't support my kernel. So is there an app or safe trick to optimalise the sound of Bluetooth and system?

Any workaround for equalizer not working for bluetooth earphones/speakers ?

I have my Creative Outlier Sports and equalizer is greyed out when using them, but when you use wired earphones, it works properly.
I didn't have a problem like this on my previous phone (nexus 5x).
Non rooted phones: Several music apps with good build in equalizer like for example poweramp
If your phone is rooted you should install viper4android its one of the best equalizers android has
Thanks, i'll look into it. And what about ARISE sound systems ? Is there any major differences between multiple equalizers?

Google Assistant too loud via bluetooth when using Android Auto

I use my Mi A3 with Android Auto in the car, but don't have an Android Auto compatible car radio - so just use the phone screen and bluetooth for streaming audio to my car.
This works great on previous phones, and worked fine on the Mi A3 under a custom rom (Pixel Experience) but on the stock rom it doesn't work correctly.
The Google Assistant navigation guidance and voice responses are WAY too loud - like the volume for the stream is set to 10, compared to like 4 or 5 for everything else like spotify.
My bluetooth volume (on the phone) is set to max, and i set a comfortable listening level on my car radio with spotify playing - but when Google speaks its so loud it's distorted!
Does anyone have any idea why this occurs on the stock rom only, and how it could be fixed? - I've tested with my wifes car and it does the exact same..
Edit - it's worth pointing out I've checked Google assistant launched from the OS (not in Android Auto) and the volume is fine. However as I pointed out earlier - Android Auto volume is fine on custom ROMs.. suggesting this is a stock OS issue.
Nobody else have this issue?
