When Greenify hibernates any app, it triggers a system halt of 3 seconds happens ever - Greenify

Even touches on the screen don't get registered in that period, songs stop playing, videos stutter, typing freezes, the entire system halts for 3 seconds whenever Greenify hibernates any application. Is this normal?
Android 8.0, stock ROM Moto z2 play, no Xposed, Magisk only

Nope. That's not normal...

Definitely not normal; no one would put up with that crap. Something specific to your system/config.

Could you help me diagnose the issue by analysing this logcat? This particular recorded session depicts multiple system halts, It freezes every time an app gets updated, since several of them are updated one by one, the system also halts one by one.
My hope is that it's something relatively simple to fix or maybe just a bad combo of apps conflicting with each other, instead of having to do a complete wipe of data partition.

I am having this problem when MacroDroid is enabled.

Infected with malware via chrome

Hey guys.
When I was exploring the Internet via chrome my phone has been infected. The new tab opened by itself, phone started to vibrate and page said that my phone is infected and that I should download Antivirus (but this page was similar to other pages with slogans "YOU WON 100K$ CLICK HERE etc.) so I ignored it. Now after every call (only then) Clean Master is saying that I already installed "Games " so I can delete apk file. Sometimes I press YES or sometimes I press No and sometimes it appear on desktop as game (last time it was yahoo logo) sometimes it doesn't. Clean Master Says That is malware with ".bf" extension. I tried every AV, even Avast didn't find anything. I tried also looking for this file by my self but no results (CM Antivirus also find nothing) . (gonna add name of virus for better tagging)
NAME OF VIRUS:
Android .Troj.tb_downloader.bf

I think that is ads... Btw to be safe you can always format your phone, be sure backup your data and contacts.. If you are rooted use adblocking software.. If not use browser which supports adblocking features..there are many in playstore

Ghostery is a great adblock browser

Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 Screen process battery drain

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 with ROM Blekota Note 4 Lite and Boeffla Kernel. It was great for about few days, but now I have high battery drain by screen process. I have minimal brightness, i don't use phone most time. After 8 hours of school I have 64% battery (when I was sleeping, phone was charging, when I wake up it was a 100% battery), I've been using it only for a while few times, for example to write few smses or search something on Facebook. Why Screen uses so much buttery? How can I fix it?

Screen processes in not only a brightness fact, it combines gestures, touch screen games (well, all android games ) ecc...
For example facebook too is a screen process.
Download Greenify from playstore and hibernate all the app BUT the notification apps you need (for example if you hibernate clash of clans, you won't get notifications from it).
Also, with greenify you can choose between 2 hibernating methods.
1st: tap to hibernate
2nd: auto hibernate apps (root).
And also there's even a more efficient one but it requires Xposed framework.
Try hibernating your apps, and tell us if you see changes in battery life

Cubot Note S Startup Screen

Just got a Note S and very good it is too.
However i was surprised on first boot up to be taken directly to the homescreen.
You normally get taken to the Google start up screen for language area.
I tried a reset but same again taken directly into the phone without the usual logging into Google.
If i flash the Rom from here http://forum.cubot.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=25 will it reinstate the Google login screen at start up ?
This is the screen i get on start up even after a Reset.

I normally get this google screen at start up on other devices.
I just got one of these and can confirm the behaviour - straight to the home screen with no language prompt. It's the same with the beta version of Marshmallow for it.
Seems there is no way to have the google language screen then.
I have this phone as well, why does it matter?

Help!! Since 27/3/18 Lock Screen and ad's!! I'm being attacked.

Since 27/3/18 (2 days ago) I think some virus has infected my phone. My phone is not rooted.
Every time I lock the phone it comes up with, per exempleur, the attached:-
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
. Also things like the (see the left-hand side) are popping up all the time. I am going out of my mind!!
I've tried all advice I can see online. I've installed Anti-Adware; Zemana Anti-Virus; MalwareBytes; CCleaner. I've deleted one or two questionable apps (not that they were added in the last two days or anything...). I've also followed the various guides about turning off ad-personalisations and opting out of ads etc through Google settings etc, though they keeps coming up.
What can I do save for factory resetting the entire device? How did this happen?
Interestingly, don't know if it's relevant, though a couple of nights ago (immediately before all this started) I was woken up at 2am by my phone making a horrendous noise. I couldn't turn the noise off I couldn't turn the phone on or off. I had to hold the three buttons and do a hard reboot. It felt like some kind of thing had taken over and I had no control of it. Now it's the same in a way... I think they might be linked.
HELP!!
Back up your data , do factory reset , unistall all app what you don't need if the problem is still there , then the problem is in your firmware .

Some apps suddenly stopped working since yesterday

Hello,
I'm facing a weird issue: since yesterday circa 5:30 p.m., some apps suddenly stopped working for no reason and just won't open or rapidly forceclose when I try to launch them: Gmail, Google, my bank app, Feedly, Amazon shopping, Steam, Xbox, Google Rewards, etc.
I first noticed that issue while I was running Android Auto and wanted to check my emails, the Gmail app force-closed without any message when I tried to open it.
On the Google app for instance, as soon as I try to type something in the upper-bar, BAM, force-close. And I get this weird message instead of my usual Discover feed at launch:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I also noticed that I can't open the Google settings: all I get is a white page, so I'm thinking it might be related to my account in some way... but some other Google apps, like Google Music or Maps, work just fine.
There's no common denominator between the apps that work and those that don't.
For those which don't work, I cleared the cache and even rest app data, uninstalled those I can and restored to stock the system apps, but no result, those specific apps just won't open.
I also tried wipe cache from the recovery.
For the record I'm running android 10 and even flashed a more recent OXM firmware (keeping HOME_CSC) to make sure it wasn't due to system file.
Do you have any guess??
Eventually decided to do a factory reset and everything works fine now
