Verizon project treble? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

Does anybody know if project treble will come to the Verizon model? If it does, does it mean that we can install custom ROMs finally? Thanks. Also, are there any Pixel like custom ROMs where both speakers work, s pen works with palm rejection, and is pretty bug free? If I need to get rid of the Verizon model and buy wifi I will. Thanks!

Overview Custom Roms for LTE Version

Hey dudes,
i´m interested in buying a nexus 9 lte.
I want to buy the n9, because it has a lte modem and custom roms.
But i can not decide if a rom supports also the lte version.
Can anyone help me to find a lte supported custom rom?
I know cyanogenmod supports it.
But i miss a little fit set of features in cm, so i´m looking for cm based roms.
the most important feature i miss on cm is the fast unlock from lockscreen.
I also think about to compile my own version of a custom rom.
So like, i use the cm lte sources and the additional sources from a supported rom, but i have no idea if this could work.
Also i think about to implement the drivers for lte. But i think this is not all i have to do.
Can anyone help me and give me some tipps.
thx a lot.

There doesn't seem to be too many roms available for the LTE version of the N9. Personally I've been using Purenexus which runs very smooth.

Custom Roms

Wondering if anybody can answer this for me as I'm thinking about getting the unlocked US version of the v30, how well do custom roms work on LG phones? Usually there are drivers for certain aspects that are proprietary, so I'm wondering how much of a hit things like the camera and audio take when using an aosp rom.

Oreo Kernel Source Code Released

Motorola finally releases Oreo Kernal source code..
https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/releases/tag/MMI-OPW27.57-40
Expect some goodies today :victory:
It's GREAT to see some action on this. I haven't unlocked my bootloader yet, but between Magisk and a kernel, I'm very tempted. Many thanks to this great community!
Does this mean that quality of roms for the x4 in the future will be on the same level as phones that have Project Treble,
or will the Quality of roms on treble. enabled phones likely still have significantly less bugs?
I'm asking because i wonder if its worth selling the moto x4 to buy a treble enabled phone.
i dont really care about having the newest android version, i just want to have security updates every few months after motorola has pulled the plug on official support.

Phones that come out on Oreo, must have treble according to Google's new policies.
But the question I posed was, if treble is really all that important.
If the community has the oreo kernel source codes like the ones above, isn't it possible to continue to provide security updates for this phone without making the phone become buggy? (Which is often the case when one runs something like LineageOS if i'm not mistaken)

But the phone didn't really launch with oreo, it's upgrade has oreo out of the box. i'm pretty sure Motorola will find a way to dodge the bullet here.
Anyway, about security updates, nobody can say for sure. we don't even have 100% fully featured twrp yet. roms are long shot. with kernel source you can have latest security updates that are kernel side only. rom side fixes/updates cannot be done by kernel. hope that helps.
Oh, I thought that the Treble thing was already confirmed. Bummer

Project Treble

Well I would like to know since we have Project Treble Does somebody already tried to load a aosp Rom to s9 or s9+ ? That would be good since Samsung sucks on updates and heavy skin.
I think it is not possible.... The only thing possible was to strip Samsung Experience away and have AOSP that way.....
So will just have to wait on the first Devs....

Any Custom Roms?

I was wanting to buy a Moto Edge Plus, but wondering about if there are any custom roms for this device. This would be a dealbreaker for me so go then with the normal Moto Edge. But then missing out some awesome hardware upgrades.. Would there be a chance for any upcoming roms, right now I cannot find anything. I would love to use LineageOS with the deivce.
