Adds a configurable Energy Ring around the camera lens indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone's camera lens.
Got a full charge? The Ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Ring's direction can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/anti-clockwise
✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Notification Access requirement:
Energy Ring does not read any Notification whatsoever, it merely relies on it to be alive. Be assured that the App does NOT access anything.

Functional on the S10e?m, add notifications and you have the perfect app

Exactly. Add notifications even if screen is off and will be perfect.

Great app... But i like more energy bar...

I simply love this. Thanks alot for doing this. Now if we could have this in lockscreen too. And maybe add ways for it to illuminate when geting notifications. Really looking forward to more inspiring things this can do.
Thanks

No love for s10 plus

The idea behind Energy Ring has been to display Battery level alone, to act it as a notification led I had plans as a separate App, we will see how it goes. Also, am afraid Android wouldn't allow it to display over Lockscreen.

I am working on it, need someone to help me with feedback, if you own one and available on Skype for text please PM me.

S10+ support would be fantastic as well as choosing which apps this will be allowed for and different colors for different app notifications!

used energy bar earlier but this is better, thank you

Great app!
Could you make It possible to deactivate It on certain apps?
My banking app does not allow It to be running on top..
Thanks

I am afraid, having such an option will make Energy Bar wake up countless number of times through out the phone's usage and eat away battery, so not planning to implement such a feature.

UPDATE!
ER_BETA_3:
You can now adjust the angle at which Energy Ring starts.

on mine, if i set the ring width to 1pixel, i find it is not centred correctly and appears to miss the lower right portion. can this be corrected or adjusted? posssibly in code, or by the user?

Possible to have a animation when battery drops every 10% or so?

is there a ring for the pill front camera on the s10+?? the bar works great but i would like the option for the ring as well thanks!

How do you set it to ring on the S10? I downloaded both version but can't find to change the bar to ring
Sorry had wrong app

Could the black bit of the ring be transparent? When it is not at 100% there is a black portion that could be transparent and would look amazing, if possible of course ?
Great app though

Anything like this for the S10+? Would love to use this along with AOE for notifications. That way I can disable the battery icon to get some extra notification bar realestate.

Many of you who have a Windows Mobile past like me, might have instantly recognized the thin colorful line(s) in the above image. And for the new Android generation, introducing Energy Bar - a pulsating Battery indicator!
Energy Bar puts a thin line on top of your Status Bar whose length corresponds to your device's current Battery level.
Got a full charge? The line will cover the whole width of your screen.
Battery depleting? So will the length of Energy Bar.
After several iterations (thank you for the feedback, early testers), the App is now feature packed:
Energy Bar can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to cover the entire status bar
Energy Bar puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
Energy Bar's origin can be configured as left/center/right
Energy Bar can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
Energy Bar can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
Energy Bar could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient
You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
Energy Bar as a cool pulsating animation whenever a power source is plugged into your device
There is something about visual over numbers that keeps you and your device's battery level in sync with just a glance. You may find it intuitive/effective/stylish way to read the battery level, let me know what you think

Hey this is cool, I was considering making a similar app around the camera cutout... might be something you consider adding to this project! "Energy ring"..
Doesn't really translate onto the screenshot well tho:
Looks good. I did notice that the charging animation restarts when opening/closing the Energy Bar app. Did not appear to restart animations in other apps though.
It adds a corner to the top left of the screen that is visible in screenshots but doesn't appear anywhere else.
Screenshot attached for others to see.
Hi, great app for my s10... Thanks
Hi, Good Afternoon, I would like to install your App, but why is it asking for so much permissions. It says it wants to read my messages & other personal items. If this is an App to show how much power I have left, why does it need all those permissions?

Tried it, but wierd behavior when going to landscape - ring gets stuck showing in the wrong place on the screen - no longer around the camera, but where it thinks the whole should be even though it's a different orientation.
Went back to Energy Bar for now.

I have just installed it and I did not encounter that issue. I had Google Play Store open, moved the phone to landscape and back and the ring moved with the whole app but bounced back to the camera punchhole.
My question is, what about the display burning in? I know that it only works when the screen is on but this question might fall from other and this is why I have asked.

Since, the phone's screen is likely to be off the majority of time, would like to avoid any potential unforeseeable issue with screen burn-ins. So yes, wouldn't like to add such a feature for now.

Hi! Please refer to the notes added to the bottom of App's listing on Play Store in specific.
Another suggestion - can you make little 12 6 3 9 ticks on the Ring Origin so its easier to get the 12 position. It's minor but might be a nice touch to have these ticks for reference.
Is it possible it only make it show up when charging and not all the time?? Thank you.

My phone is a UK one. I have it set so the camera is outside the normal display - maybe that's why your app thinks it's over on the right? No, I just checked - it's still on the right if I change the display setting.

Please verify that you have downloaded the App from the link in the first post. If you still face issue, please share me your Telegram/Skype ID via pm, I will send you special version to debug the issue, cheers!
Hi - Yes I did download the app from the link. Don't send me the debug version - I don't use Skype or Telegram and, to be honest, I am still finding the limits of the phone without adding more apps (one or two things I need OnePlus to investigate and fix).
Best of luck

Does this not cause burn in on the oneplus 8?
I like this app, thanks
But on oxygen os 11 dp4 doesn't work
Hi,
nice apps, it works even if I had in the beginning problems to find the button for activating .
One question about the colors. I tried to use white (FFFFFF) but one thing it is hard to activate because a kind of frame around the color is missing to activate it and second it seems that the other icons in the status bar use a different white. Does anybody know the hex code of the white code which google uses in the status bar?
I wander how this would work along aod notify app ...... Has anyone tested them together ?

Thanks for the effort of bringing this to our Find X2/Pro. However, I'm struggling to see it's purpose if it doesn't update when the screen is off.
If you have to turn the screen on to see the ring (and therefore get a guestimate of battery left based on the colour), may as well just have the battery icon showing - with the percentage in the middle?
Unless I'm missing something

Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Can't seem to download this on Google play store, it's taking forever, I want to try out this app.
for some reason the ring is not aligned around the punchhole cam of my 9s. its thicker in the top of the circle and thin on the bottom
It's not quite alligned correctly. Is there anyway to manually reallign it??
Thanks.
Great idea for an app and great execution! :good:
However, I too have the same issue as the guys above. It's misaligned on my Note 9s/curtana.
Made THIS video to show it better, it's very evident at 1 pixel thickness.
Only installed it a few minutes ago but it's a nice idea and looks to be working as described.
I also had another issue. Let the app stay overnight but just now I noticed it wasn't working. It was enabled in accessibility options but for some reason the ring wasn't on and the app was telling me I did not enable it.
After I forced closed it and opened it again it started working. Phone is brand new and I haven't done any meddling with it.
Great app. No battery drain but the position is bad. It is slightly above the punch hole. Hope to get fix soon. Thanks
Working perfect, love this

Hi!
Thank you for your interest, I am looking for testers to calibrate Energy Ring for this device.
What would consider an ideal tester:
#1 Have sufficient free time, say at least 30 minutes.
#2 Have a hell lot of patience, the calibration takes some time, might be frustrated in adjusting the sliders by pixels.
#3 Have another phone/camera to take a physical photo (not screenshot) of your phone.
If you meet the above requirements, please share me your Telegram/Skype ID.
Cheers!

Yes, but no telegram/Skype here, are you ok with email/zoom/hangouts?
New version from today is much better, thanks!
(But it seems to me that the center should be one pixel lower? Maybe it's just parallax)
