help?

Switch off your phone.
Remove your SD card.
Switch on again
Does it still occur?
If it does NOT, your SD card must be trashed.
(wrong forum btw, should be in help & troubleshooting)

[Q] Phone Not Recognizing SD or Phone Storage

Hi all,
I just installed Auxora 2.3.1.0, and everything is functioning fine with the phone except for the fact that the phone doesn't recognize that any storage is present on the phone. Under settings > SD and phone storage it says "Unavailable" for both SD and phone storage where it would normally show how much space is available.
Any idea how to fix this?
Not quite sure if I'm posting this in the right place... I would have asked it in the thread where I downloaded the ROM but I'm not allowed to post there yet.
Thanks in advance
i know 2.2.1 rom had a sd problem for me and i was on 2.2.1 port but from there i flashed another kernel over (deAD hourse) and it solved my problem
I would try that, but I have no way of flashing a new kernel because I can't put anything on the internal storage because the phone can't access it..
I'm now able to successfully mount the SD to USB while I'm in recovery mode so I can transfer files onto the SD, but no matter what I am unable to get the phone to recognize either the internal or external SDs unless I'm using stock 2.1 update-1...
Anybody have a solution to this?
This problem is getting ridiculous for me... the phone won't recognize the phone storage or sd card on any kernel or ROM other than stock 2.1. I've tried Bionix, Auxura, and just finished flashing Deodexed_KA7 one of these that will allow me to use my phones storage is 2.1.
I also tried applying the fix found in this thread, and it didn't work.
Anybody have any ideas on how I can get fix this??? I really don't want to be stuck with stock 2.1 anymore

[Q] Is there any way to ignore the internal SD memory in Samsung GT-I9003?

Hi everyone,
First things first, sorry if this was covered somewhere else in the forums, I really didn't find this question anywhere so I "had" to post this.
I got my Samsung GT-I9003 4GB a month ago, and everything was working perfectly until 3 days ago. It starts showing an "Internal SD card unexpectedly removed" error whenever the phone goes standby, then it forces me to terminate processes one after another, and finally it shuts down. I hadn't done any kind of ROM flashing nor rooting the device until the problems arose, so I don't know where the problem comes from.
I've tried to re-flash froyo 2.2.1 in my device, but the problem keeps showing up.
I found in this forums this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088474) covering the possibility of swapping both internal memory and external SD. It works great, but I still had problems with the "external SD card" being "unexpectedly removed"...
It crossed my mind if it was possible to modify the vold.fstab file further to only detect the external SD card as the internal memory and ignore the internal memory, as if it wasn't even on the phone. I don't know if that's even possible (since I don't know much about file systems nor Android), but I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

Was having the exact same problem with a further twist, the issue occured almost every half an hour at office and very rarely at home. Tried a factory reset and also GB update via Kies. Problem was still present, so have given it to samsung service and the service rep informed me that it was most likely a motherboard issue.
Recently one of my friends had the same issue. Samsung service center replaced the motheboard and the issue seems to be resolved.

[Q] HELP (Resolved)

The other night I was trying to finish rooting my Nook, and think that I may have done something that I shouldn't have in the midst of my sleep deprived night. My best guess is that I did a format on the Nook instead of my sd card. I woke up and turned it on, and it asked for a factory reset, which I did. Then when trying to setup the device a message would pop up that said restart required your NOOK encountered a problem hat requires a system restart. Then when I hit okay another message shows that states the device could not restart. I managed to get to the main screen, but the messages still come up when turning the device off and then back on.
When I connect it to my pc, it no longer shows that the device or sd card that's inside are connected. One other thing I noticed is that when going into settings, under other storage available it says 0.00B free of 0.00B. I am able to connect to the internet and use it as well as the other apps loaded, but when trying to save anything off the internet a message shows that reads, an SD card is needed, even though there is an sd card in and the notifications shows SD card inserted. The SD card also shows when viewing my memory.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Any help or ideas of what I could could possibly do to get this back to full functionality would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] help with vold.fstab restoration

so im currently using a samsung i5510m on android 2.2.2. recently i rooted my phone so i could switch my external SD card as internal since the phone only carries around 150mb of data. so, after rooting the device i edited my vold.fstab file the way i saw on one of the posts on xda. all was well until i rebooted my device, after which it refused to recognize SD card. just to be sure that the card didn't get corrupted i used a card reader and plugged it into my PC, it loaded up with the files. i thought it could be fixed if i formatted the card and so i did.however it didn't fix the problem and neither did factory reseting the device. Ive tried adb commands but its all been useless since the it cannot access the card and neither the phone itself. Ive tried using my other SD cards too but the result is the same.
any help guys? how can i restore the vold.fstab to the way it was since i think thats the problem here?
thanks in advance
