Screen On Time - Huawei P30 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

I'm getting the best screen on time I've ever had in a phone.
Screenshot is at 10% after 7 hours and 15 mins of screen on time. I have used GPS (Pokemon Go ha ha) for 4 hours in that time.
Still on 7% after 7 hours 35 mins screen on so confident I'll hit 8 hours before I have to charge it.
Auto Brightness used, Always On Display used. Plenty of Facebook, Messenger etc. No phone calls... Who uses a phone to make phone calls these days anyway [emoji23][emoji336]

I got almost 9 hrs yesterday. Loving the battery performance!

Can anyone of you share their accu battery estimation after charging in the battery health section? Mine shows it as 4072 not 4200,my sisters Samsung phone always showed higher than or the same as advertised... I'm asking because my sot is barely 6 hours only.

Comparing my old phones, with friends, I always saw higher estimation when they have significantly more sot

lower voltage level of LEDs?

does any one know which file I have to mod to lower the voltage of the led buttons as yhey are very bright and iy might help.with the light leak
thanks
To turn led down you cannot lower the voltage. They are not like usual lights with a wire in it.

yes I can lower the voltage thats why im asking which file and not if it's possible
NO you cannot! Led is a semiconductor diode, it is
determined by the energy gap of the semiconductor. If you lower voltage this gap cannot been exceed in this case and there's no current conduction. So there is no light emmiting from led.
For lower light emmiting you have to use other diode.

Dimmable LEDs have been around for quite a while now.

Why are you asking what file to mod if you clearly have an app that lets you mod it?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I don't know much about dimmable LEDs. Maybe you can describe me how the led of the s3 working. Instead of this you want me to shut up. Useless communication.
I could imagine there are LEDs with more than one semiconductor gap included. So variation of voltage can activate different light emmiting semiconductor in one led in my imagination.
But don't know exactly.
Maybe there are people knowing this...
Last thing, you are not an admin to tell me not posting anymore.
This is just my decision to shut up not yours.

I know it's an app, Im not sure whether changes have to be made to the kernel or some other file to controll the voltage of the LED driver and where these changes have to be made
Lets keep things polite and on topic chaps, remember to treat your fellow members as you would want to be treated yourself.
Diode current is
i=Is(exp(Vd/(nVt))-1)
Usually there is a series resistor too. Brightness is very much dependant on voltage. If the voltage is 2.5volt, there is probably 1volt across a resistor - this gives a lot of control.

[Q] Do you think my SGS3's battery lasts normal?

Hi everyone. I've seen couple friends of mine saying that their S3 last like 2 days. I can't even see the night with mine. I used the screen only an hour but it's already %37. I guess there's something wrong. Can you check it out and tell me if it's normal?

What do you suggest me to do? I bought this from USA but now I'm in Turkey so I don't have warranty here. Do you think if I buy a new battery it's gonna fix?
Get yourself a Battery Mix from playstore, observe the graph and try to find out which application is using the cpu, I mean, see which one is constantly using the cpu even though you didn't use it.
(eg: on my phone google chrome and line are the main culprit)

Try using better battery stats and see what is causing wakelocks so u can fix them and ur battery will last longer

That´s not normal, i am on Jelly Bean stock rom and rigth now i have 32% left with 1d and 9h43m, with normal use, phone calls, sms, wi-fi on.
I bought the Samsung Extra Battery Kit a while ago. At first I thought it was just placebo, but now I am pretty sure that the newer battery has a 1/3 better battery life than the one the S3 came with.
So I think not all batterys are created equal or degenerate after a few months too quickly.

How long are your battery on-screen times?

I'm curious what they are with the cdma version. Thanks.

Well, I don't know if this helps much, but I've rooted and disabled quite a few background apps. I currently have a little over a gig of RAM free. Anyway, I have 77% battery left, and I have a screen-on time of 41 minutes and it's been 8 hours, 36 minutes since I last charged it! For me, battery life has been a dream.

On my first day I got 4 hours and ten minutes at 10% left.

I ushed 5.75 hours screen time the other day. The battery life is phenominal on this device
Now when you are pushing these times. Please state lte or wifi. If it's wifi it's not impressive

I am unlimited data. Don't use wifi. That is pure 4g.
Yesterday 5:14 screen on time with 13% Battery left
That's with all Syncs are manual (other then work email once per hour) and only air call-accept and quick glance on, all other motion and gestures off
Thats all mobile man 3g/4g i just keep all the goodies off and keep screen auto or even lower. Sync off is importent to. I also use the power saving mode sometimes and it does not impede performance much. Not noticable
got 16 hours out of a charge last night, on screen time was about 3.5 hours

Share Battery life and screen on time

I am just curious to know what battery life and screen on time people are getting on their lg g2 in different ROms they are using. It would be great if you post your screen shoot and also tell us what you been doing and whther you are using any battery saving apps or not.
I am on cloudystock 4.4.2 ROMs and these are my battery statistics. wifi is always on and use whatsapp or surf web most time , brightness level to 50 percent and no battery saving apps or greenify etc. These are my screen on time after full charge and never charged phone in between

First half (when battery reach from 100% to 50 %) give me more time than second half(from 50% to 0 ). I have same method of charging ..i put my phone on charge when go for sleep and unplug it after i wake up and use same stuff on phone every day but battery and screen on time is different for each day
I get 8 hours screen time over 36 hour battery period. Sync only whatsapp and gmail. I use gmail, stock 4.2.2 and dorimanx kernel

But charging is super slow Almost 3h but thats not a problem for me.

Without gaming you can get about 10h SOT with the last xiaomi.eu firmware. But also with gaming you will get over 6/7h SOT. Rhis is so great!

I asked on MIUI forums and they said it's when the phone is in deep sleep it leaves gaps. which is stupid but that's what it is
I asked in the other thread also because I Just now found this one.
What is the Shell application and why is it using so much battery? My phone is the Snapdragon version and I flashed the Sphinx international rooted rom.
10hours sot, omg, finally bought a decent smartphone *_*
How do you guys get 10 hours? Android + android system takes about 28% of my battery (snapdragon)
EDIT: Never mind, I forgot that I never really drain the whole battery anyways, otherwise I would get 9 hours with pretty heavy usage.

You should also consider that it takes approximately 3 Hours to charge because its charging 4000mAh, my S3 charges for 2 Hours to charge 2100mAh .. So think about how many mAh your packing in compared to other phones.

My Note 4 need 1:25min. from zero to 100%. It's not fair to say "S3 is slower" cuz RN3Pro is from 2016 and S3 from 2012.
Using note 3, snapdragon version, for few days and loving battery live. Two days of use with more than 10 hours of screen.
