Need help Canbus Mitsubishi Outlander with Rockford Fosgate - MTCD Hardware Development

Hi all,
I need some help.
I own a Mitsubishi Outlander with 360 camera and Rockford Fosgate soundsytem.
Last years I used a Android HU wich worked fine (except bluetotoh was crap). But since the screen is dying on my (flickering and giving wrong colors) I purchased a Tesla style headunit.
The unit is delivered woth an Canbus box where the AC controls are plugged in (my last unit used the original AC control,)
The wiiring was wrong from the seller so I had to make some adjustements to get the Canbus signals toe the Canbus box.*
I got the unit completly working except I don't have sound from... The Rockford Fosgate system isn't working (or power on). When I attach normal speakers to the wiiring, it works so somehow the HU or Canbus, doesnt sent signals to the Rockford system (the amplifier turns on through Canbus).
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem? Anyone with enough knowledge to help with this.*
If I need to buy another Canbus, no problem...
The headunit has a 16 pin EU Iso connector (not the standard Android connector). I opened the unit to find out the RX and TX signals and connected them to the canbus box (and got the AC working).*
Does the Canbus box needs other input for the Rockford amp?
Aliexpress seller isn't responding and his shop is closed.
If I open the headunit I can trace the wiiring but because the is no connector for Canbus to the headunit, I don't know the pinout of the canbus. I opened the canbus decoder but nothing to see that indicates the pinout.

Hi, what model and year is your Outlander? I have an outlander of 2008 and I also bought a 10 inch Tesla model car radio but I'm selling it because my wife doesn't like it. When I bought it and mounted it on the mitsubishi everything worked perfectly, steering wheel controls and sound on rockford fosgate.

hello what a joy to see someone with outlander I have some doubts if it is possible to solve
which team do you recommend for outlander 2007 - 2012
because I don't know which one to choose by theme, steering wheel controls and rockford equipment + amplifier and how many inches the maximum
Thank you

Nice to see a fellow Outlander modifier
I own a 2108 outlander sport. I've been researching how to upgrade my current stereo into an android system. Now have one ordered and will be installing soon.
I noticed when buying that they wanted to sell a specific canbus for what system you own. If it was me though the first thing to check is that you have the correct canbus settings loaded inside your new stereo.
You may have it set for a different type of car or protocol type vs what you need to make it work.
Example only of what vendors are selling:
If your car with rockford fosgate amplfier.please kindly buy the below canbus.
Car for 2008-2013 with rockford fosgate amplfier :
Order this cambus
Car for 2014-2015 rockford fosgate amplfier:
Order this cambus

Hello -zATBz-. I have a Pajero 2009 with Rockford multimedia and amplifier with 12 speakers and I'm wondering what Android headunit will fit in my car. Would you give me some link to this seller which give you these options?

I'm assuming it works for TP2 also.
However, NONE of the eBay sellers will ship to EU - it's strictly North America only.
Does anybody know of a reliable shop that can sell a working HF adapter w/ mic support for extUSB to 2.5mm mini-plug that works with TP2. I also don't want a full HF with a extUSB connector, because I already have a great HF with a 2.5mm connector. I also don't want a 3.5mm adapter. Enough adapters already
Ebay has zero resellers that can deliver. Brando doesn't have one, neither has PDAshop.nl. Amazon.com doesn't deliver outside US either.
I don't want one of those huge 3-in-1 dongles - just a plain, small and sturdy 2.5mm HF adapter.
Why don't you just ask nicely from the sellers that could they do exception for you. Ask that if they would be willing to send the item in an envelope as it isn't that big. It never hurts to ask nicely
look for a seller in hongkong they ship to the uk. i got mine. works fine

Vasra, if you are in the Netherlands - and my feeling is you are - you should try this guy: http://www.speurders.nl/overzicht/gebruiker-186094/. I bought the one with the built-in microphone. He also has the model you are looking for. Promptly delivered after having paid, and it all works fine.
Cheers, Dela
Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I'll order from Speurders, as I can't locate a HK seller anywhere.
Hi guys,
I'm in the UK and I too wanted a USB - Jack adaptor for my TP2, but there was no UK/Europe suppliers. So I've taken the plunge and ordered a few of these from Asia and hopefully they'll be here in the next week or so. They will work out cheaper than the Speurders ones hopefully. Should I let you guys know when they're available? Does anybody definitely want one?
Thanks.
Steve
Just another thought, you could send me a personal message and I'll e-mail you when they're available...

Stereo Bluetooth with Caller ID

Can anyone point me to the best Stereo Bluetooth with Caller ID display. I only really want stereo bluetooth to avoid wires and if you can't recommend one with wires, can you help me to determine just the best stereo bluetooth for TP2.
Also, I don't want them to be the headphone or the one ear bluetooth pieces, I need it to be ear buds.
Thanks.

I have a Motorola SoundPilot S705. I'm totaly satisfied with this headset.
The features are still not reached by any other currently available bluetooth stereo headset.
Unfortunately it is out of production, maybe you can still buy it in ebay or elsewhere.
It has for example multipoint feature (up to 8 connection profiles), FM radio with RDS, caller id display, 3.5 mm audio connector, Mini USB charger, ...
Regards, UMH
I have a DS-980 which is pretty old and the wires are getting frayed. Got a DS220 as a replacement but I don't recommend it. It doesn't have a dedicated volume control nor a dedicated next/ prev switch for multimedia like the DS-980 (apart from the lack of of a caller ID) and the auto volume control on it sucks.
Isn't there any other in the market with dedicated multimedia controls+caller id+3.5mm?

Shame can't find in the UK, also saw a sight where someone complained about its build faltering after 2 months.

lots of people here working for a site, trying to market it....YAA they look good but the price is too high, and also why not get the WM600? does the caller ID work?

Rearth Ringke Slim w/ Brodit ProClip

So, I got the Ringke Slim hoping it would fit with the ProClip . . . which it didn't.
It would slide in ok, but the alignment to the charging port was off by nearly an 8th inch.
I had to take the dremmel to the mount to get it to work, but it works. Surprisingly, the phone still fits pretty snuggly even without the case
I got the hard-wired mount, so I also dremmeled a small gap in the console for the power cable and an audio cable.
Waze looks great on this thing!!
Let me know if the pictures show up or not . . . experimenting with using facebook to image host

When you order the ProClip you get the dock and mount together with a mount specific to your car.
They have a standalone dock, a lighter charger dock, and a hardire dock. I got the hard wired. Pulled the console out and soldered the positive lead into the existing cigarette lighter power supply with an inline 2a fuse and grounded to the existing ground.
I already had an ipod interface installed to work with the factory head unit, and that interface also has auxiliary input. Just ran the rca through the same hole for the power cable and plugged it in to the ipod interface unit behind the dash.
I always bought ProClip USa mounts for my devices. They are vibration free, and very quality products.
However I'm surprised they don't have the adjustable dock for the note (like they did for my iPhone 4). It would allow for different case widths...I guess they don't do it for all devices.
Is that a tape player in your car?

LOL . . . no. There was an option tape deck that fit under the cd deck so it's got the button on there for input selection. I have the "cash box" under the head unit and in the cash box is an old iPhone 3g hooked up to a PA11-HON which charges and controls the playlists through the factory deck.

It was either this one or the "universal mount" . . . I didn't want to play with the universal thing so I got this knowing I'd either need to mod it or go case free. It's still snug as a bug even without the case, but I think I may have voided my warranty and affected my resale value

Does z ultra use TRRS band for its 3.5mm jack?

Hi all,
Was impressed by brainwavs delta iem.they say that it requires 3.5mm jack in TRRS band. Is z ultra compatible? Please provide your inputs.
Regards

TRRS means tip ring ring sleve and it refers to how the 3.5mm plug is configured.

Almost all modern phones with a 3.5mm port support this configuration. No need to worry about this.
The only major difference is how this technique is being used. Apple has their system and Android has their version.
When you buy a headset choose or tell the seller what device you will be using and the headset will work fine.
For a visual guide. Apple compatible headsets has three buttons on the headsets cable when Android compatible headsets has only one button on the cable.
This image below represents the Apple version of this product. You can see three buttons: Plus, Play/paus and Minus.

Some samsung phones can take headsets with + and - buttons.
Problem is there's no definitive standard for this.

But there is. And Apple will charge phone makers an arm and a leg to use it.

Many manufactures has designed models in a range of years when they used the ctia standard. Also Sony used it in some of their early Sony devices.
Each designing their own solution they followed no standard. And many now only uses the regular omtp.
I found an old cached website describing the details
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:jCfoZjj6TqsJinoutsguide.com/HeadsetsHeadphones/samsung_moment_pinout.shtml+&cd=1&hl=sv&ct=clnk&gl=se
The old HTC hero used a 600ohm resistor, a 220 ohm resistor. This was a time when inovation happened every day.
Further down it describes:
"To detect and use an external input, the Samsung Galaxy S needs to see about 1600 ohms impedance between the microphone and ground pins. This will automatically disable the internal mic in the phone. To connect the output from a PC or other audio device into the phones mic input, you'll need to add a 1.6k ohm resistor in series. This is the same procedure that works with an iPhone."
As we know there has been tons of lawsuites and patent disputes with Apple. Finding the right document is not what I have the time for.
I can not confirm if Apple is the patent holder of ctia. Or if it is free to use. Because many devices does use ctia standard today. Perhaps under license you can use the technology?
Or there is a legacy ctia standard that Samsung uses that can handle multiple buttons but does not upset Apple for looking to similar to their solution?

Sub Out on Xtrons PX5

Hey guys,
i've got a Xtrons PX5 Android 8.0 Unit (xtrons pb78aa3rp) and I don't have any subwoofer output in the harness.
Are there any mods to add this?
And does anybody know if this really has a DSP built in or should I give thsi addon board a try?
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000095694713.html?spm=a2g0x.12057483.0.0.1c5673a1t6a4hM
Is this a development question or a q&a forum question.
If you want to find out if the unit has a dsp, what options have been tried from the number of detailed posts outlining how to do so.
If your HU has DSP it should also have a 15 band equalizer and adjustments for distance to speakers or delay.
The unit you listed does not have DSP but it has a subwoofer line out. There is no sub output from the built-in amplifier.

Ok so it´s like I thought about the DSP.
But the problem with the subwoofer: although the spec says it, i had no line out for the subwoofer on the harness. only rca outputs for the 4 speakers or integrated in the OEM Quadlock.
So did I get the wrong wireing harness or is it not available on px5 units? without DSP?
Their listing shows connector 22 as part of the wires they supply with the HU and since that unit is not supposed to have a DSP then they should still have supplied the connector. If they won't send you one you could always open it and add a cable.
I got a reply from Xtrons:
Hi, pb78aa3rp has not an external subwoofer cable, it is built-in, you don't need a seprated subwoofer cable to get thr subwoofer work

and
hi, the harness is correct, the factory doesn't supply a harness with external subwoofer cable

So we all know this answer is not really satisfying. I think the sub out is still there on the board.
So if anyone has a PX5 with subout could ou tell me on which Pin of the connected is the sub out connected?
