Both work for me without any issue .124 firmware.

Works great for me, up to date.

Working perfectly fine here as well.

Works fine here too, on .124, since it seems Huawei ****s owners of their flagship phones and don't give us updates straight away, like Apple.

Works great for me too on 124

The camera app frezees 2 times for me then i tryed to take some burst!. I had to "kill" the app 2-3 times before it would respond normaly

Tele camera overexposes with raw in low light conditions.

While we're listing bugs - I can't get Google Assistant to launch when I press the power button for a second or two. Nothing happens at all. And I definitely have the toggle pressed.

Why on earth would you want that ?
And if it's possible, I guess it will drain your battery faster...

As said, if it would be possible...the battery will drain a lot faster as the screen will always be active/the system will perform wakelocks all the time.
But it's a good idea

That's what was generally said about double tap to wake, yet the phones that have this implemented, don't have drastically increased battery consumption because of it.
On the other hand, Samsungs half second delay after pressing home button, to wake after deep sleep (formerly just a "feature" of exynos devices, now with snapdragons as well) , is extremely annoying.
Don't see how would the screen always be active? Rather, the fingerprint sensor would be.

I don't believe battery drain would be an issue, but how would you keep the phone in a state to be read?
With double tap to wake and swipe to wake surely the waiting for action state is already developed.
Other possibility could be pressing the home button and sweeping the fi gerprint scanner at the same time to unlock in one motion.

if the screen is off the fingerprint won't unlock and turn the screen off at the moment...... you have to press the home key wait for screen to turn on then swipe

I know. I talk about press (so the screen turns on) AND sweeping the finger at the same time.. This is working for me. I have to do a longer sweepe though.. And i have used all 3 finger setting to the same finger, probably a bit different portion of the finger every time..
Try it.. It works for me. Always unlock with one sweeping and pressing at the same time..
The disadvantage, i can unlock only with one finger.
The problem for me is that i have the home button to wake switched off using wanam exposed module. The phone was active in pocket way too many times.

Oxygen OS home button lag

So I was searching for the greater part of the last month, how to fix the home button lag issues.
And while disabling the double tap and long press questionably helps the situation, it doesn't actually fix the root cause: Oneplus' shoddy coding.
The issue is the Oneplus launcher. Simple fix is to download Google's Google now launcher from the app store. You could also use another ROM, but then you lose the fingerprint reader/laser focusing.
Bonus for you, if you have Xposed installed is that with Xposed GEL you can modify many of the launchers settings to your liking ... As long as Google doesn't break the GEL developers' app.
Hope this helps some of you. I'm now very happy with how this Oneplus two runs. And although we shouldn't have to do this out of the box, it's not too hard if you put in the effort and patience (plus you'll learn a thing or two about your phone).
Here's my configuration: Oxygen OS 2.1.1, Boeffla beta5 hotplug 2-4 & 0-4, Google now launcher, Xposed with Gravitybox.
I have been on Nova launcher from day one, and not a single hint of lag on the home button.
I loved to get rid of the this bug, but I really like oxygens shelf. In fact, it's the only thing that isn't crappy about their rom. Any chance to get this oder something similar with another launcher?
I have tried nova and action launcher sometimes my home button just stops working for sometime even the fingerprint scanner stops working.. I had to reflash 2.1 zip! And finally it my home button was back and then yesterday suddenly my home button again stopped working and I was pretty much frustrated abt this issue so I just removed the screen protector and it worked and even my fingerprint scanner suddenly became more awesome as it was just 80-85 % before.. now it's 99%.. I don't wanna return my phone as I heard it is some problem with the one plus fingerprint drivers.. And even few of 'em who got their phones on October had the same problem returned for replacement but they got the model manufactured from August.. So i think it's really not hardware it's a software issue!

Google launcher is very similar to oxygen. You may not even be able to tell the difference ... And shelf is just recent apps (which GNL has in the app drawer) and recent callers list ... Which is in the recent callers list ...
you can fix lag in every buttom only if you disable function for double touch and large touch
Google Launcher jsut updated this morning. Give it a try. Also disable the double-tap function on home button.
Also using the screen bar buttons solve the problem. Releasing a phone with this kind of problems is a scam.

what?
fwiw, i don't seem to have any "lag" when the long press and double press is disabled.
But of course there is a lag when they are enabled. the phone HAS to have some way of realizing that you're not going to press it a 2nd time, or that you're not going to hold it down. how else is it supposed to do that? go to the home screen IMMEDIATELY and therefore not giving you enough time to press the button a 2nd time ?
lol use your brains people
oh and before anyone says.... i've used many roms on many phones which utilise the "double tap" and "hold home button" for different functions. every one of them has had a slight lag before it goes to the home screen. i dare say that you're remembering thing with rose tinted glasses if you're adamant that this phone is worse than those at this.

With double tap disabled it also has lag with Oxygen default launcher. If you design something with lag by default, it is a really bad design. Try any nexus device (even nexus 4 is faster) or the OPT with cyanogenmod and you will see what speed is.
what? i don't think you understand what i wrote.
Nova launcher is the solution, still my best purchase from play store...
Hi Guys,
I have the same problem. I bought my OP2 during open sale, and i received a phone from the 06/08/15 batch. I have also a home button which is not very "responsive", but i think it's a hardware problem due with th metal frame. When I use a case, i don't have this pb and the home button is very responsive ( as it should be).
DO you guys experience the same?
I'm using Catapult Launcher. It's a fork of Trebuchet Launcher from Cyanogenmod. Works pretty good ... no laggs.

Double tap to wake

Does Mate 10 has the double tap to wake feature?
No and i haven't found a non-root solution for it either.
Wow that's such a shame... The mix and matching of features across these Huawei devices is becoming really frustrating. There's no reason why only the Chinese version of the Mate 9 had this feature.
I don't think you really need a double tap to wake. A simple touch of the fingerprint sensor wakes the phone quickly.
Exactly, that fingerprint scanner is ridiculously fast!

For the 10 Pro, that functionality is useful. It's just weird some of the choices made for an otherwise great phone. It's unfortunate.

Copyright issues with LG. But there are 3rd party apps for Samsung that put an icon on Always on display and you just double tap on that icon to wake. I guess its not different to Samsung having a home key always turned on even when screen off. So Huawei should as well implement something similar to have icon on the Always on display and click or hold or whatever is best gesture on that to turn on the screen.
End of the day its still a two step process in the least over the single step process of front fingerprint sensor. The small bezels means no way a front fingerprint could fit there and so there needs to be a long term solution. LG type reliable face unlock feature would help in many scenarios as well and its comparatively easier to partially lift and look at the phone from a desk then double tap and scribble the password.
There is also Huawei's strong security measures to overcome. My current Huawei does not allow using anything other than a pin password for unlock when you have the fingerprint activated. So thats four extra screen taps compared to the Pattern type password (which cannot be used when fingerprint activated).

What app that works with fingerprint without pin
Enviado desde mi ALP-L09 mediante Tapatalk
my ex oneplus 3t has this feature. how only lg has it?
Surely it's obvious this would be useful when the phone is laying on a desk/table (on its back) when the fingerprint sensor is not accessible? Double-tap to wake would be awesome on this device. Just got it, and it's my only (at this stage) gripe.
Same here
I hope some update fix this

Mate 10 Pro Double tap to wake

Hi Everyone,
Why Huawei didn't activate this function to their high end phone. THIS IS VERY USEFUL.
Anyone, manage to activate this on their rooted mate 10 pro?

Some weeks ago someone hinted at some code in the firmware which was supposed to handle double tap to wake. But there's no confirmation anywhere that Huawei will ever enable or further develop that code, just assumptions.
in Mate 8 forum there is a thread about enabling double tap to wake through some modifications on build prop.
That requires Root but I have no idea if that procedure could be implemented on mate 10

Yes, the sensor is good, but kind of difficult to access while phone is mounted in a car - double tap to wake would be nice then, I miss it from my OnePlus X.
hello to all.... is possible that even in march update official, for huawei mate pro, is not present double tap to wake? other alternatives drain many battery... i hope a solution in last 4 monthes in this post
my solution
Hello,
As a former LG G2 user I've quickly begun to miss the double tap to wake/sleep | knockon/off function with my Huawei Mate 10 Pro. So after lots of investigations and app trials here's my solution which seems to perform pretty well in my opinion.
After trying many apps I've encountered the so called 'Always on AMOLED | Edge lighting'.
Here's my setup on the mate 10 pro (emui 8.0.0, android 8.0.0, build 8.0.0.157 C432) first:
1) Disable smart cover
2) Disable pick to wake
3) Disable pulse light (it won't work and we'll use app's notification handling which is great in my opinion)
4) Disable always on display information
5) After installing the app (VERY IMPORTANT!):
- Go to ignore battery optimisation in android's settings and add this app to the Allowed list
- Go to battery / launch - then Manage manually the amoled app:
* set to on - auto launch
* set to on - secondary launch
* set to on - run in background
To quickly find the upper settings use the search bar in the settings menu.
Then in the app (v. 2.1.7 tested):
1) I've made a fully black background instead of a clock - upto your flavor
2) Enable the POCKET MODE! This actually saves battery a lot since if proximity sensor is covered the screen is completely shut down. When you sleep/want to save battery place the phone with face down - sounds as no problem to me..
3) Brightness is set to 10 or so - again upto you, the less the better for the battery
For double tap to lock I use a widget placed all over the screens where there are no icons - sounds annoying but once settled it works flawlessly. Here's the widget I use - DTS widget Skynet Software.
To be honest I've found it from this forum.
Share your experience as I might have missed something.
P.S Somehow the power button won't lock the screen now but I don't use it at all anyway, so no problem to me..
P.S.2 I would have bought another LG phone if only they have kept the IR Blaster but that's another story..

Same, I only like double-tap to wake on my phones without fingerprint sensors. On my mate 10 and Xiaomis, whether front or back, I am prone to using the fingerprint sensors, and they bypass the lock screen too.
Of course, it's a nice feature to have that doesn't drain battery, all my phones, except Huawei, have dt2w.

Power off screen with fingerprint sensor without triggering pin-unlock to wake?

I set up Fingerprint Quick Actions app on my old Axon 7 so that when I pressed the fingerprint reader, it shut off the screen. Now, when I try to set up the same system on the S9+, I can set the screen to turn off, but when using the fingerprint reader to wake the phone up afterwards, I am forced to do a pin-unlock instead of biometric.
Does anyone know a fix or is this not something that can be done anymore in Oreo?
Same problem here...all third party lock screen app is not supported in this sense.

it wont work as said by OP, both widget type and double tap screen lock/off will make fingerprint unusable since it will ask for a pin. really wanted this too, hope we can find a solution.

Actually, Nova DOES work, because it doesn't actually lock the screen. It resets the screen timeout to a very short value, turns the screen off, and then resets both after the device locks on it's own (or you take some action). I use it all the time, but it only works from a Nova home screen, not from anywhere else.

For a similar outcome I am using the 'screenoff' app and it's working for me (Snapdragon SM-G965U1 running Pie)
Because I haven't done enough posts I can't post the link but search for github and jsalatas and ScreenOff and you'll find it
Powers off screen with app button instead of fingerprint sensor and then allows fingerprint opening.
