Got the ASD8 update today 5-14 - Samsung Galaxy S10 Guides, News, & Discussion

For US Unlocked GS10
Contains April Security Pacth.View attachment 4758730

I'm starting to worry if Samsung will start sending the May update in May or in June. I also do not understand why US models doesn't received dedicated Night mode. Let's see what bring May update, I hope not only security patches.
Interesting is also, S10 with Snapdragon not have updated kernel. Exynos run on 4.14.85 and SD on 4.14.78 (or so). I'm very appriciated Samsung updating kernel version. If I good remember, my S10 (Exynos) had after second (March) update .84 and now with April have .85 @maddie01 please can you confirm that?

No night mode on ASD7 for Canada either.

I have an unlocked S10e, but I flashed it with T-Mobile firmware. My phone received April patch last week and I hoped for Night mode in the camera, VVM and Digits to be built into the dialer, but none of aforementioned features came with the update

FWIW, I just got the ASD9 update on T-Mobile with a US unlocked S10 and still no dedicated mode that I can see

How does one flash a T-Mobile s10e to att software. Odin?

I really dont think you should flash anything. Check my screenshots and you will see I'm on feb/18 security patch, stock, ZTO. The feature is not a big deal though.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but you won't trip knox by flashing official firmware files.

Yup. I had the russian firmware installed for about a month until I switched back to my country's one and everything still works perfectly fine plus knox isn't tripped.
A few days ago I got a new update on my A320 and apparently I got that Selfie Focus mode on selfie camera.
cant find this feature on latest version of A320Y/DS Indonesia Rom (XID).
and cant even find the update for camera on galaxy apps store.

Oreo is Here! Downloading it Now!

My Korean variant G600K just got OREO pushed. It's downloading now. I'm optimistic but there was NO mention of any ThinQ features in the changelog.

Probably stop refreshing. From what I've read, Korea gets it today and there's no info on the rest of the world. We're probably waiting a bit.
LG G6 (Korean) just got an update to Android Oreo today. Has anyone tried to install AR Stickers and AR Core? I tried to install it but it seems doesn't works. Anyone if has a suitable version of Google camera, AR Stickers, AR Core that can works well on G6, please reply. Thanks!
What is the new features? Please screenshoot. Im waiting for the new features

Not too much, maybe it's all about "bug fixes and performance improvement"
http://www.lge.co.kr/lgekor/mobile/notice/oreo01.jsp
beside some update listed there, this update also has hide navi bar feature
Honestly the hide nav bar thing should've been there when the phone was released, with the screen size and all that it only makes sense. What I'm curious of is did lg devise a way to do it without extra battery drain?

Be patient, the question has already been asked several times, it is necessary to wait until the people who had the update had time to perform a few cycles of use..
Okay I have it downloaded on a korean G600S. So far so good. Oreo 8.0 April 1st security patch. The settings menu is very different as expected. Performance is definitely a bit snappier just right off the bat.
Anyone got some news about when it will become avaible on the SEA 870ds version ? Cause my last update its from October...
BT 5?

Unfortunately 821 doesn't support Bluetooth 5
I guess people shouldn't get too hasty.. The Oreo update is currently for Korea only. And they are getting that today so obviously they will need a day at least to check the performance and other stuff. So just wait. People will reply after testing properly

We do not know, otherwise it would be written, we have to wait, it's written everywhere..

Oreo is here!!! H870

Jusy casually checking my phone and BOOM! Can't wait to finish downloading ?
You are about a week late to the party....
Yet my H870 hasn't got it yet...
H870 for South America has not received the update yet.
Took an age but just downloaded Oreo. Will update after a few days of use!
Wife's H870 updated yesterday evening. I updated mine manually a few hours before using LG Bridge (I was on Fulmics 4.2, so it didn't want to OTA itself).

After almost a month's worth of use, I'm not noticing any difference in performance. Admittedly I'm still running the ROM with as many different things disabled/restricted due to the battery drain issue I had running Nougat. I'll have to see about performing a factory reset and see how well it performs.
Will keep you posted
I have got a v20b upgrade. It fix issues only. They could give US Oreo 8.1.0 with June patch.
Really v20b update with 8.1.0 oreon version. Some screen can you share.?

X.1 bump sometimes is more difficult than we might think. It's mostly new base, new API level, etc... I just hope they fixed most bugs, it's a pity you didn't take any screenshot of a changelog... ;/
Or did you?

Prompted with Official OTA 9.0 update today

FWIW I got notified about what I assume is an official Pie update today. It's not the same version number as another post in here though:

To be honest, you're not missing anything ground breaking although I must admit almost everything that's different is a nice change. My one big exception:
Y the truck did they switch which side they put the time on? Ridiculous.
That said, the upgrade was the smoothest I think I've ever experienced for any OS, desktop or mobile, ever.
I run the Nova Launcher and the update has not interfered with that at all. So my preferred tweaks, apart from moving the bloody time, have all been preserved.
Perhaps the biggest promised feature I'd like to think will be legitimate is battery saving. No real indication of any ground breaking changes there so far though it's only been 24 hours ?
I do understand that it's not fun to be kept waiting and feel a bit left behind.

Excellent! Hope the installation is faultless.
I get the OTA to Pie in Spain!
Downloading Pie in France right now.
Finally Pie. ota 116-20 today on my reteu g6 plus in DK
Got it in Hungary on the 7th as well. Unfortunately the update includes a crippled version of the Dolby Audio app, which has no EQ anymore (WTF???) So make a copy of the app before the update.
Shoot, you're right! Never noticed. Bugger.

There has been several updates since your version. The latest in the screenshot attached. Also uploaded by Meltdown Spectre Stock ROM for Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) G965FXXU5CSF2
Thinking of rooting? Full control aside the S9+ doesn't really need root. You can do near enough to most needs to justify not doing it. My interest lies in googles uncertified devices blocking i'm starting to hear more of lately.

I am rooting it just because of the bloat, and maybe custom kernels. You are right, without a strong xposed comunnity for android P,root is useless in todays time

Yes, all were OTA. An afterthought I remembered was I believe the boot loader was updated with that last build so downgrading will be a pain should you dislike the most recent update.
