Can´t flash a custom rom in cwm

Hi,
I´ve checkrom 2.0 already installed so root and cwm (Recovery: CWM v5.5 :: CF-v1.5 Util: CWM Manager v3.60) worked for once.
But when I try to flash a new custom rom in cwm I get an error message "Can´t open /emmc/....." and after the filename "(bad)".
I tried 4 different roms from the internal and also external memory. Of course I wiped everything but the error is still the same.
So I always restored my last backup which is no problem.
Can someone help ?
Thanks

[Q] Wheres my Note II TWRP directory for Nandroid?

So, after having soft-bricked my Verizon Note II and wound up with rooted and unlocked and CyanogenMod 5.0.2 and TWRP recovery 2.6 0.1, I want to try some other stuff but want a Nandroid backup first.
But Nandroid wants e to select my TWRP directory for backups. The only TWRP directory I can find is on the extgernal card and Nandroid rejects it.
Maybe significant: Somehow I have an old ClockworkMod recovery installed somewhere. Somehow it took over from TWRP. TWRP Manager does not see it, and failed trying to install TWRP. Similarly the CWM recovery failed installing TWRP. Finally ODIN succeeded, but TWRP Manager still doesn't see any custom recovery..
