AOSP ROM with Dual Apps support? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Sorry if this is largely know, but there's any AOSP ROM with Dual Apps support? It's the only reason I'm still using MiUI.eu
Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

I never used dual apps feature on miui. Is it like using the same app with two credentials? If yes, then there are apps on play store which does the same thing. And answering your question, No. Afaik, there is no AOSP based custom ROMs for poco f1 that has dual apps feature.

Miui rom Aokp rom or cm9 rom?

I have no idea which rom is the best? All three have the same bugs. Only video recording and wifi tethering not working.

CM9 is great for performance. AOKP is similar to CM9 but with more themes and ability to personalize the looks. MIUI is themed a lot but i don;t know much about its performance. Choose the one which you like
MIUI Roms are based on CM cores so they're both pretty comparable. I do prefer MIUI for the themes though, easiest way to be able to quickly customize. Honestly, try them all.
I like Miui

For my phone, the performance of MIUI is much better, but of course it depends on which phone you have, so you should ask at the section of your phone.

It is not true, that MIUI roms are based on CM cores. It used to be true in the roms with Android 2.*. But with MIUI v4 they have developed their own framework.
But as they didn't develop it for every phone, on some phones MIUI v4 ports with a CM base exist.
I find CM9 fastest and smoothest on my Sensation, but this will vary from device to device
Try them all and see which you like the most.

Based on CM9 on all the other phones I've seen as well with the exception of devices that actually have ICS.

SGS3 Custom Rom with Smart Stay

I would like to know if there is a custom rom which also supports the samsung functionality "smart stay" because i like it or is there an app that supports it for a custom rom.
I would really appreciate good answers.
hi there,
you can use omega rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663656
cheers
Most custom ROM have it...Just not the AOSP and AOKP android 4.2 ROM. Not sure if MIUI has it but Im using Ultima ROM V8
so I want to concretise my question.
is there a custom rom without touchwiz and smart stay or is there only the touchwiz-software with smart stay?
Smart stay and all the other Samsung features are present only in Samsung-based ROMs like Wanamlite, Omega and so on
Try downloading an app called smartstay ex from google play.
It's supposed to give you the same functionality only it works on any device with a front facing camera.
I have no experience with this app, I just know it exists.

Unfortunately I'm having problems with tasker and MIUI too.

Best Oreo Rom

Which is the best oreo rom for redmi note 4? With no bugs, lots of customisation good battery life and ram management...
Please reply...Thankss...

I'm Vote for Cardinal
If you want more customisations then go for Cardinal otherwise Pixel experience is best. Personally I'm using pixel and miui epic with dual patcher.
Is pip working in cardinal? What are your views on aosp extended and liquid remix?

None of the oreo roms are completely stable. There are some niggling issues everywhere. You should stick with nougat if you have low tolerance for bugs, big or small.
Having said that, I have personally liked the performance of omni and liquid remix. I'm currently using omni oreo.
You should move this discussion elsewhere. Right now you are in development zone.

You wouldn't get customization like RR in oreo for now. Maybe try liquid remix, it has fair amount of customizations and nikhil's kernel has a good combination of battery and performance

So far Cardinal with Velvet Kernel worked best for me. Great survivability (up to 3 days) and smooth performance. Love it <3

I didn't test PiP, but I've seen people saying it works (requires YT Red tho). No bugs so far. I use all kinds of mods like Xposed modules (Gbox etc.), XTREMEmusic by androidexpert and all of them work flawlessly.
I'm currently using aex nougat but the problem is that it's lagging and battery backup is not upto the mark I'm getting 7hrs sot hardly....
Please suggest which rom should i try...
My requirements are smooth experience better battery life and lots of customisation...
Doesn't matter oreo or nougat...

PUBG Frame drops/Lagging issue in Custome Roms.

I have tried almost all custom roms & played pubg in each rom, but it's lagging alot, & flashing Custom kernel made it more worst.
This issue is not related with Network problem / Pubg server as pubg is working perfectly fine in MIUI.
Any solution as i want to use custom roms & want to play pubg as well.
I'm back to miui because of this PUBG issue
Had this issue on custom Redmi Note 3. I'm on Pocophone MIUI and it's fine.

I think, that means that customs are not optimised for PUBG... or something.
