Any way to hardreset a bootloader locked LG G5 with fast boot? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hey everyone,
I have an LG G5 and I'm trying to hardreset it. I can't turn it on because it always goes into "incompatible module" mode, telling me to change the battery. The power button also doesn't work anymore.
I have however managed to get it into fast boot mode. From there I tried to use
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
but it says that the bootloader is locked. I checked with LG and they said that my particular phone (from Australia) can't officially be unlocked.
Now I'm looking for a way to either unofficially unlock it or to wipe all data with fast boot without having to unlock it. I can't use adb because it somehow doesn't recognize my phone, fastboot does. Alternatively a way to prevent it from going into "incompatible module" mode and to start it regularly would help as well.
Thanks,
Josh

[Q] Failed fastboot oem unlock

So, I have an Atrix 4G (2.3.6) and decided to try rooting in order to install a proper adblock. I'm a bit new to Android so I did some careful research and I found some tutorials that showed to do a fastboot oem unlock.
But I guess the Atrix doesn't unlock from a straight fastboot oem unlock command? Because it now boots directly to the fastboot screen with a "(ap) fastboot flash mode (s) flash failure" error.
I can get it to boot normally by holding the volume and power buttons and selecting 'normal' but that is a pain and can only be done with a good charge on it.
I'm going to say I don't know what I'm doing here. First and foremost I'd like to restore a normal boot, though I wouldn't mind knowing what to do from here to properly root it.

what steps did you take? fastboot oem unlock only works when the bootloader isn't locked anymore. By default, manufacturers lock their bootloaders so also with motorola you need to unlock it first. There are some ways to do this, the sbf method and whatnot but it's not really idiotproof.
Is all you did the fastboot oem unlock? else you might want to relock it by "fastboot oem lock" and just root your phone if you don't want to go custom rom

Moto Z Driod Bootloader Issue

So I tried Unlocking Bootloader with a made up unlock.bin.
Word of warning be careful if you try it.
This is my experience: OEM UNLOCK with a made up bin phone gives a warning about wiping.
Out of curiosity I wanted to see if it would just fail out it didn't, but instead wiped the phone like it was unlocking the BL, I went into bootloader to check it was still locked (as expected).
But doing the procedure did something to my bootloader. If the phone is off (shutdown) and I plug it into the charger it will immediately boot into bootloader on it's own without me touching the power button.
Also from a powered off state if I power like normal it will boot to bootloader screen instead of system, from which I can boot into the system without issues and the phone works fine.
From a powered up state If I hold the power button for safe mode it will reboot into bootloader mode and then I have to start the phone to get to safe mode.
Has anyone else experienced this? Would reflashing the Nougat firmware correct it?
If not I am fine with the phone the way it is.
Get in bootloader and type: fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
It's a command to close the "startup directly into bootloader". Device should start normal again.

Thank you I will try that when I get home this evening.
Edit: that solved the issue I think I'll leave the boot loader alone for awhile lol.

Is it possible to unbrick after accidentally locking bootloader?

Hi,
I tried to install twrp on my device and must have done something wrong. I then tried to use one of the fastboot roms to go back to stock. However, this didnt work and i was unable to boot past the fastboot bootloader. For some reason i then decided to run 'fastboot oem lock' and have locked the bootloader. I understand that was stupid and now i'm stuck at a screen that says 'Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot'. Is it possible to fix this or have i permanently bricked this. Thanks for any answers and i'll happily get any other information you need.
Also i have seen the thread that says to use the msm tool to reflash the stock firmware/unbrick but i can't get the device to go into EDL mode. Every time i hold the volume + and - buttons while booting the device shows up on my pc for about 5 seconds before disconnecting. Sorry if i've misunderstood these instructions but i've tried it so many times and it just doesn't seem to go to EDL mode.
Keep trying with MSM tool. It can be very finicky from what I've heard.
Try different usb ports, maybe different cable or computer.
Since you can start your device it's not really hard bricked and you should be able to restore it completely.

No need to worry.
Flashing the stock rom with fastboot did not work because you have relocked the bootloader. Unlock the bootloader again with fastboot oem unlock and then flash the fastboot stock rom. It would work just fine and you would be able to boot into stock rom.

LG G5 H850 stuck on Fastboot with no OEM unlocked

I have an LG G5 H850 which got stuck on Fastboot mode overnight. It can not access any other boot mode, only Fastboot.
It wasn't root nor had the bootloader unlocked. When I try to do that (fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin), I get the message "remote: oem unlock is not allowed" because OEM unlock option was not set, but I can't set it since I can only enter Fastboot mode.
Is there any other way to activate OEM unlock option?
I'll really appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks in advance.
Same here.
Stuck in fastboot OEM Unlock mode.
Trying to enter bootloader mode shows only for less than one second bootloader mode and switches again into fastboot OEM unlock mode.
A little late here, but can you flash the factory image with LG software so you can boot back to the OS?
Hi !
I try to flash twrp recovery. It seems to work fine but then, when i boot, i go back to fastboot mode. I tried to pull off battery but did'nt work.
Help would be appreciate

Nokia 7.1 after RMA flashlock, no recovery

Hey guys,
so I got a Nokia 7.1 that has once been returned to the vendor after an upgrade failed.
My plan was to unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP - easy enough.
However I can't check "OEM Unlock" in developer options. It's simply greyed out.
I also can't enter any sort of recovery mode, it gives me the usual background for recovery (the android with its belly opened) and only says "No command". It then proceeds to reboot after ~15 seconds.
I cant enter the bootloader or download mode with hardware keys at all, gotta do it via ADB.
Long story short: I want to flash TWRP but I obviously can't get rid of the flashlock and neither can I wipe cache or data to reset it.
I've read about reasons for the OEM unlock being greyed out. Without going into details I got two Nokia 7.2 where I am able to OEM unlock, so I really don't think locale or vendor is blocking it.
Got any ideas?
Bootloader must be unlocked, see this . OEM Unlock doesn't work on 7.1.
