And Of Course To All The Supporters, Donators And Users
- Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
- IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to AOSP.
If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
Is not forced, but if this work liked for you, consider buy me a coffee/beer, it will greatly appreciated

Same issue with my G920F. Maybe is connected to model or bootloader version... My bootloader: G920FXXU6ERF5
Also I played with device tree code and different android flavors. When I tried Bootleggers ROM, which I build with partially removed lineage codes from device tree, I tested only one day, but don't get this issue. Tried to build crDroid in same way (removed lineagehw folder from device/samsung/zero-common and hardware/samsung, in device/samsung/zero-common removed overlay-lineage and edited few files), looks like I don't have this issue, but still testing.

Is there also a way to make the battery last longer

Greetings,
First, thanks to iTz for continuing to support our S6 devices.
I wanted to test RR (Pie) on my S6 (SM-G920W8) so here's what I did (and what happened)...
- installed twrp-3.3.1-0-zerofltecan.img (from previous version twrp-3.3.0-0-zerofltecan.img)
- performed full wipe (advanced wipe, select all partitions, plus format data, then reboot to recovery)
- copy ROM and kernel to phone (from windows computer using USB cable)
- install ROM (RR-P-v7.0.2-20190606-zerofltexx-Unofficial.zip)
- install kernel (zerofltecan-boot.img) selecting "boot" as target
- reboot system, wait...
On 1st boot, the following message appears (as a dialog box)...
Android System
There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for details
OK
Once the dialog box is cleared (OK) the installation appears to have completed and device is identified as SM-G920W8 (in About Phone).
So, before I proceed to continue testing (this time with GApps and Magisk), does anyone know what this message means?
Thanks.
Update...
On reboot to recovery, I performed a factory reset and installed the ROM only (no kernel image), then reboot system...
The (Android System) dialog box does NOT appear, however the the device is identified as SM-G920F (as expected).
Thanks.

Dropping support for G920T/W8 and G925T/W8 due to the hard development that those models needed and without having those devices is more hardest, sorry.

@iTzPr0o117
Q:
What you do with cts profile?
I installed the magisk hide props module but bootloopping.

I will update RR every 15 days, every monthly patch or when there is a new RR version available.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Thanks for the oreo, you had fixed camera bug, network switching bug, file system bug. But got some problems. gps works fine but if gps is on while data network is on, which causes a reset for both sims, leads to frequent disconnection and unstable network ( when ever any app request for location). second the brightness is very low in front camera video recording mode, you can see clear differnce if you switch to photo mode. Also camera got stuck while recording videos in instagram, it's deadlock only force quit intagram is the only option to make camera work again. Please fix these asap
Also problem while sending videos via instagram , videos become black and white , i think problem with hardware encoding
To avoid the ril crash with GPS, you/one needs to delete system/vendor/bin/mtk_agpsd.

Thanks that works but after reboot network dropped two time but recovered instantly. Please also check - if one sim's signal gone it resets and scans for network but i think it resets the second SIM for no reason even if it has full signal.

YouTube app freezes
The ROM is good. However, YouTube freezes after sometime and the phone just hangs. Need to force reboot somehow in order to solve this issue. YouTube is practically unusable now. Please look into this issue.
After 4th Jan update.. whether I play video in full-screen after some time screen freezes . Force restart is only option after that. Same with WhatsApp video call.

If you expect anything in future then wait for it in the future itself! Present generation can't think or predict about the future.
I'd say stay happy with what you have right now at this very moment. Coolpad got oreo being a mtk device is in itself a nice thing, hardly a bunch of mtk devices have development support.
With regards
Kubersharma
Works with all ROM Kernel: Linux 3.x? 'cause I have 3.18.19+
Some bugs I found
- Phone freezes after some time while in fullscreen on YouTube.
- Hide quick settings on secure lockscreen not working.
Some feature requests
- Immersive mode quick tile.
- Stay awake quick tile.
- 180° rotation support.
Some features which I think are not right
- All the info in status bar (clock, battery) are a little off the edge of screen. Don't know why but, it makes the notification icons overlap.
Some questions I have
- What is MAD mode?
- I am a heavy android user who does HD gaming and browsing all day. Are the kernel settings optimised for that kind of use or should I tweak them to squeeze more battery?

Not able to add call... if I touch add call it mutes instead. Also if I get a second call my phone it just gives me the beep sound of second call and doesn't wake the screen. I have to wake it and see whose calling and if I answer it by swiping upward the call is received but the screen continues to show incoming call receive screen. Phone basically hangs into that incoming call receive screen. I have to do a soft reboot to come out of it.

XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.
http://halogenos.org
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Back up your [I]Internal Storage[/I]
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build (format using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe)
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

* Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
* Want Google Apps? Obtain and flash the latest GApps from [url]http://opengapps.org/[/url]
* Flash any other system modifications you may want
* Reboot.
Manually updating the ROM
XOS ships with an OTA updater built-in (soon) which should automate the downloading and flashing process,
however should your wish be to manually update the ROM, you should be our guest.
Code:
* Download the current version of XOS for your device.
* Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (Note: We recommend TWRP)
* [b]Please do not[/b] wipe anything, including Cache/Dalvik/ART, the ROM has you covered.
* Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
* Reflash any system modifications that do not survive updated (everything that is not addon.d-capable)
* Reboot.
You do not need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You do not need to flash Google Apps again*.
You do not need more than 5 minutes.
* Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
Screenshots
Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We may one day decide to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.

Might be a bad download. In fact, i find it more smooth than any other 8.1 rom. The stock launcher is so dam smooth, i might just refrain from flashing a custom launcher.

Seems to be a Gapps issue, since latest build went perfectly through setup wizard without hiccups. You can try to use these gapps too if GZR gapps dont work https://download.dirtyunicorns.com/gapps/arm64/EzioGappsMini-arm64-8.x.x-official-April2018.zip
Fingerprint gestures are in System > Gestures , for now there is only swipe down for notifications
Well well well, look who's here with XOS.
Great to see you here buddy ?

Not sure if this is a feature but the WiFi is turned off on each reboot. I have to manually turn it ON every time.

This is indeed a feature, although coming straight from Google. It's a security feature introduced in Android 8.1. Which means you will have to enable it on every reboot.

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome
combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.
Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy!
Special thanks to the LineageOS team, Omni team, SlimRoms and of course to all the supporters.

- SELinux on Permissive.
- Tell me what's wrong with proper logs.

About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

well about camera it's same like pie . it's working fine tho for me no issues till now
thank you very much for the rom CodeZero it is good to know that someone like you continues to build more and more this device, we expect new updates and security patches I love you crack
Today I will try it, I just hope that camera work fine.
Thanks in advance for support this old device.
It works everything for me, except audio: I got no audio(multimedia nor notifcation). Any ideas?
I had stock android before clean install Lineage OS 17, I haven't modified anything else (no third party apps nor gapps).
I have to say I am coming from this issue https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/help/stuck-bootloops-stock-roms-ive-tried-t3995969 , and trying out LineageOS for the first time out of curiosity. And apparently the phone is more stable with this LineageOS 17 than stock rom (I have almost no reboots). But audio worked with stock rom.
Edit: No audio even with earpods.
Hi
Once again this is a great ROM thanks to Code zero. Unfortunately the ROM does not boot up setupwizard when it is first run so I cannot restore settings and apps. Just wondering how I can force setup wizard to run again so I can get my stuff back?

The truth is that I am using this rom of lineage os 17 as a daily rom I would say that your fault comes from your terminal since my audio works in both headphones and notifications, the only error I see in this rom is in some applications that close alone from the rest 10/10
oh and another bug is in the chrome browser that doesn't play videos it gets damaged
note: this is fixed using another browser
Magisk
Doesn't appear to like Magisk V.10.1 - V.19.1 installs fine!
My mistake; should read doesn't like Magisk V.20.1 - V.19.1 installs OK
After reinstalling over Lineage 16.0 all is working just great including Magisk 20.1
Many thanks to you Code Zero

Chrome Version
For anyone who is having issues with Chrome, I went trough a couple versions of it, and I think this is the latest release that has no video playback issues: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/chrome/chrome-71-0-3578-98-release/
2 hours of test and I'm in love.
Excellent work, I don't have any bug.
We appreciate your fantastic work.
Can someone post some pictures for me to have a look?
I'm in doubt, can I install even though this 'SELinux is permissive' bug is safe?
Has anyone that had camera problems in Pie tried this ROM? Is camera fixed here?
I'm on LOS16 and camera doesn't work (green tint, crashes, etc)
Thanks for your work @CodeZero! Amazing as always!

Google/YouTube lineageos 17 - I'm sure you'll find tones of pictures and videos of it on devices (it will look the same on any device)
Also Google what SElinux is - basically you cannot encrypt your device & any security service/app that requires it to be enforcing will not work

It would be a better base without GAPPS. Why is it included?
crDroid is also an extension of Lineage OS.
But we miss a clean Lineage OS.
Even so, I like him and how it will be time, phone reinstall.

You can remove gms, gsf, phonesky & Sync adapters from twrp or through by root. Those are the only gapps that included here.

That's true. we can install the gapps ourselves.

You can't. Our device doesn't allow post installation modules like gapps. I tried, so shipping with gapps is the only way here.

Would this apply to MicroG on a vanilla rom?

I also want to know that. If I ever want to install gapps it should be microG on a clean lineageOS image.
isn't it possible with magisk?
You can always install microG easily without flashing on any vanilla rom with signature spoofing.
Either from the free F-Droid store, just download the app via browser on the smartphone and install.
Then add the link to microG in it's repositories settings (https://microg.org/fdroid/repo).
Now you can search in F-Droid for all microG-components you want.
With this method you will be noticed by F-Droid when updates are available.
The other option is to get the apk-files from microg.org/download and install them on the smartphone.

Didn't try. Might won't work too.
Try magisk modules, go systemless.

Root, or from alpha twrp, remove these to convert it into vanilla :
/system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter
/system/app/GoogleCalenderSyncAdapter
/system/priv-app/AndroidPlatformServices
/system/priv-app/GoogleServicesFramework
/system/priv-app/Phonesky
/system/priv-app/PrebuiltGMSCore
These are the only apps that I included for this gapps variant
Files cannot be removed.
Not even in TWRP (on ramdisk).
Not even on a rooted phone.
You have to remove them for us in system.ini.
EDIT: Another file manager enabled it in root.

It's been tested...System partition is R/W.
You can only remove, but can't add.
This rom? I tried it briefly.
I backed up my phone to Google.
But after running rom, restoring from this backup was not possible.
I decided to delete gapps. With TWRP installed on the ramdisk this was not possible. Rooting the system and installing the file manager did the trick.
I then installed the latest gapps test from sourceforge. It tried to restore from backup, but crashed.
So don't count on gapps support on this rom for now.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. In this current build, you can remove google apps from system & use microg on it too. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Note :> I decided to make fastboot roms from now until we get stable recoveries for our device. Many complained me they had issues while installation.
Please have a PC & install Lineage OS without any issues.
> GApps pre-included.
> For Windows, execute .bat file directly.
> For Linux & MacOS, open terminal, run "chmod +x /path/to/sh_file.sh", then run "sh /path/to/sh_file.sh"
Steps:
Connect the device to PC & enter into fastboot mode (Vol Down + Power).
Download the ROM & extract the zip. Execute the "flash" command.

Difficult for lineage.
I love LineAge from the first time I used it on my LG L90.
Thanks and keep going

That's the reason I pre-included minimal gapps. If someone needs to have vanilla, they can able to remove gapps & possibly unroot.
The Gapps I installed worked.
Google backup recovery has crashed.
If I left it out, it would work.
But what didn't install at all was MindTheGapps
recommended by Lineage OS. https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps.html
So something's not right in the build for the mojito.
