It looks like i've bricked LG V30+ H930DS - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Guys, desperately need your suggestions.
I've unlocked bootloader and tried to flash lineageos 16 [pie v9].
And run into bootloop problem. Phone showed up sh#tty g#ogle link, like:

If you can get the screen to at least display something. Plug your phone into your computer, hold the power and volume down button, when the screen turns black, release all buttons and quickly hold volume up, release when you see download mode appear. This should let you restore to a stock KDZ.

1. Open flash tool (don't click anything)
2. Turn the phone off, power + volume up until you feel (1+) 3 vibreations.
3. Press the volume up key while connecting the USB cable, led should lit blue and connected in fastboot should be in the log.
4. Repeat 2, press volume down while connectiong the USB cable for flash mode, check flashtool log
If flash mode stays connected for about 45 seconds you can simply try to flash stock with flash tool.
If fastboot stays connected over 20 seconds you can flash custom stock based kernel and flash moonwalker again, or any other custom rom you have on the phone.
If none works, just leave it turned of, charging for one day then try again.
I've seen more than one report of people that recovered XP by disconnecting the battery, though it didn't work for others.

Explain how you did that. Also can you get in emergency mode? Pull battery out. Wait 10 seconds and put it back. Hold the volume down key and plug an USB in the phone (Usb must be connected to pc in an USB 2 port).
To enter CWM, retire battery, use volume down + QuickMemo button + Power. When vibrates, quit the Power Button. If that doesn't help, flash the stock kdz using LG Flash Tool.

LG MS323 Stuck @ Logo

Hi experts,
I really don't know what happened to this phone. I left it on the charger (usb->pc) for couple hours and when I got back, only the LG Logo. I removed the battery and reboot the unit, it gets stuck at the LG Logo. So I google around for a fix. Found some.... but to no avail! Following is what I don't understand!
1. When I do factory reset, (volume down + power key), click YES and it says "Factory Reset Processing". This process takes forever. I went outside for like 30 minutes and when I got back, still at the same screen.
2. When I try to flash via bootloader (volume up + insert usb cable) it goes into fastboot mode then tells me to press the volume up button until I see the download mode. Well, this proces, like the above, I press the volume up key for like 20 to 30 minutes, nothing happens.
3. When I remove/insert battery, power up the unit, it gets stuck at the LG logo but the pc cannot recognize it.
What seems to be the problem here?
Thank you very much!
OMG, We have same problem ,I don't know what happen with that, Even I don't use couple months ,I try to do MP3 Player ,Can not be boot on.. I just want to try re-flash now if I can do this with my PC.

Since you can get into fastboot mode, you don't have to press volume up, from here you can just fastboot flash your phone using stock ROM or use my tool (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6vSHGXxJIWmVjRVMlRSQW9HWWs) that I wrote to flash it (easier for beginners).

it - from time to time - shows the charging logo,
then just force it to reset: power button + volume down - keep both pressed until it resets (screen off),
then keep the volume down button pressed
<-- with the usb cable plugged in all of the time
That should get you into bootloader.
Note:
the phones behaves really weird and it could be that it shuts off while in bootloader.
In that case simply disconnect the USB cable, connect it to the phone only and then - while the volume button down is pressed - connect it to PC

Hi, I seem to have the same problem... the phone loops the startup screen and the USB connection is not working. I can get the initial download mode screen to appear for a minute, the looping starts again.

MAJOR EDIT: Master Reset worked, is accessed by holding vol down and power until screen goes dark, release power when the lg logo appears, count to 2, press power again until factory reset screen, say yes, should put you into twrp (provided you already have it installed of course)
Is there a button combination to do this? I'm fearing I also bricked my us998 by dirty flashing from aospx to the johnfawkes stock rom after I randomly stopped getting lte connection. Probably definitely should have factory reset but there were a few pictures I didn't want to lose and now I am really wishing I had bitten the bullet on them to save my phone. Current situation is a loop at the verizon startup screen, vol down and power can initiate a restart and from there I can hold vol up to get the initial download mode splash screen but then the screen goes dark and the device starts to loop again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you got it figured out.

Stuck on Logo? Can't shut off?

Noticed quite a few threads re this, have had the prob myself.
Found a simple fix, while trying different things...
Hold ALL buttons down at once (vol dn + vol up + pwr button). Keep them held down for about a min or two. Phone will respond and you'll be able to shut it off. It takes a while to respond.
Cheers
Thank you!
I've added this to the US998 Pie KDZ thread. That KDZ is very wonky. It's the only Pie people have problems flashing. Probably because LG has not yet released Open Market US998 and the one we are using is technically for U.S. Cellular US998.
I had no trouble flashing it myself -- on my backup V30+(former LS998) going straight from Nougat (never updated, it was my backup phone) to Pie through Dev Patched LGUP Refurbish mode. But lots of other people seem to have problems.
On my daily phone, I'm still on rooted stock Oreo with Magisk and Xposed mods.

Hi, @AsItLies, I have tried but my phone still keeps bootloop, so could you please describe it more detailed? Can you enter fastboot or rec then? If possible, please come to see this: Help! bootloop per 5 sec, cannot enter rec, download or fastboot

I think it's pretty clear, what I did and it worked in my situation(s):
There are 3 buttons right? Vol up, Vol dwn, and pwr.
Press all 3, at the same time, keep them pressed until the phone responds. It can take quite a while.
The last time I used this was after flashing LOS17, but then flashed a 19.x version of Magisk... (that's the wrong version of Magisk for Q Roms btw), resulting in phone stuck on boot logo, wouldn't budge.
I honestly have never tested exactly 'how long' it takes to respond, just that it does eventually respond and are then able to get to recovery etc. I can say time wise, if you hold them down and no response after a few minutes, then it's probably not going to work in your situation.
good luck

Oh, I'm just a little confused if you are talking about powering off/shutting down the phone entirely or instead changing the status of logo sticking and then shutting off with extra operation. My phone was suffering automatic reboot per 5 second, so I cannot recognize any other response than that. Thanks for your patience, but I just want to know something more to see if this method works when the phone is almost bricked. It seems you could enter rec or at least download mode, so maybe you had performed force reboot.
Hope further confirmation.

Hmmm I think you may be over thinking this a bit. All that happens (for me) is the phone responds (it gets out of the loop). Then, do whatever you want (shut down, recovery, etc etc).
I wouldn't suggest trying to reboot system again, as you already know that won't work...
All I can say is, if you tried the above and held the buttons, and nothing happened, then I don't know what else you can do. Sorry. Hopefully you can find a way.
Just in case someone is having problems entering download mode while in this bootloop, I'll explain how I applied AsltLies method:
First I held all buttons at the same time, no matter how many times the phone restarted, I still held them
After a while, a white screen with the MEID or IMEI info showed up, this is when the phone stopped bootlooping and I released the buttons.
Then, I CONNECTED the phone to the pc, after that I held VOL UP+POWER BUTTON, this would make the screen go black eventually, and when that happened, I inmediately released the power button but not the VOL UP button, and the phone entered into fully working download mode.
I hope this helps someone.
