External wi-fi network interface (?) on Android x86 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I am not sure if I have chosen the right category for my question, please forgive me if its wrong place.
I am trying to connect Canon SX60 to my android 86 via wifi. The problem is that the camera is going on the 20m long pole, and I am running into disconnection when
the camera is 5m away. I was thinking if I connect to my laptop (running Android x86, as there is no windows or OSX app to operate the camera) a 20m amplified USB extension
cord with USB Wifi adapter/interface plugged on the other end might work.
I am a complete newbie when it comes to Android. Would you please advise if my idea could work and if yes, where can I find an option on Android to choose wifi network adaptor?
I was trying to run Canon Camera Connect on windows using Bluestacks but was unable to connect my camera.
Could I benefit from running android on VMW?
PS.
English is my third language, very often I am not explaining very well.
If you need to know more specifics please let me know. Any suggestions highly appreciated.
Cheers!

[Q] Idea-Reverse USB tethering

Hey everyone-
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way, or at least a theoretical way, to get internet on your phone via a usb cable using your pc's wired ethernet connection. The reason I ask this is because I've gone into plenty of areas where wired internet is available but wireless isn't? Any ideas or help would be appreciated, and if nothing exists I'm willing to partner with a dev to make this happen possibly. Thanks again.
-sincerely, bobofosho123
I don't think there is a way to do this via usb yet. But you should try this
1. bridge your wireless and wired connection
2. setup an ad-hoc network on your pc.
This is assuming you are using a laptop and have some version of win7 installed. For more detailed instructions google both of those steps individually.
Here you go:

its written for the desire, but it should work just fine.

[Q] use pc internet (opposite of tethering)

I am not sure what to call this so it is difficult to search for it... what I am wondering is... can I connect my SG2 to PC via usb and use the wired internet connection that way? (For example, at someone's house who doesn't have wireless - so I am not using cell data all the time)
It's generally called reverse tethering. I found a page here on XDA that may help you do what you're wanting to do - [Tool][Windows Only][Root] Android Reverse Tethering
Here's a good example of how to set it up for XP, MAC and Vista. I assume this should apply to Windows 7 as well.

Thanks, guys. I guess I was hoping there was just some setting on the PC and another on the phone and then connect and go. I don't want to install things on on a computer I am just "visiting" for a day or two. I appreciate the quick answers though.
If the PC has a wireless card, you can use that to host an access point for your phone to connect to via wifi.

[Q] Connection refused on VNC apps

Hey guys, I have been looking for a way to control my CM 10.1 DNA through my PC (Windows XP SP3) and have tried a few things with no luck. I got android screencast working, but found that I couldn't operate the phone through the PC (and it was very laggy). If I might be missing something here, then let me know.
I also tried using apps like 3CX DroidDesktop and when I attempt to connect from my PC I get errors. I'll enter in the IP and port and I usually get an error that says my phone refused the connection. I've tried Real VNC, Tight VNC, and even just the browser. I'm a total noob at this so I apologize if this question has already been asked or something. And yes the phone and laptop are both connected to the same Wi-Fi connection.
Thanks for any and all help guys!
Edit: So I've gotten it to work through USB, and realvnc but I do not have the ability to control with the keyboard or mouse

A Few Problems When Running Android 4.4 (x86) on PC

Hello, I recently have been going nuts with booting different OS's on my Windows PC, and came across good ole' Android!
There are just a few things keeping me from using it a lot more.
1. Internet Connectivity
Is there a way to use the laptop's built-in WIFi adapter as the "Android's" default adapter? Or would an external USB adapter be the way to go? I've tried USB Tethering on my fiance's Galaxy J1 but it says "No USB devices attached". This would be a big one to figure out for sure!
2. App Compatibility
I'm able to install and use some APK's i've copied from my other devices just fine, but some of them won't start up, force closing immediately. I figured with Android 4.4 most apps should be (and are) able to run okay, but I get about a 50/50 rate of the ones installed on PC working and not. Would there be a way to get around this? I'm no expert by any means but one of the things floating around my head was through editing the "build.prop" of the PC-booted Android.

P30 pro can I start window like second system / vmware

Hi! In conjunction with my hobby and bussines It's very important to have a possibility to run windows (xp, 7, 10, whatever) and It's lovely when i can connect something with RS232 port - with usb otg and cable ubs-rs232 or bluetooth - RS232 device (i'll suspend It's probably not possible to run, becouse cpu architekture) or option to emulate windows from vmware. Can somebody help me? I search all Google threads, and nowhere can find thats info. You don't have to write instruction 4 me. I'll would be gratefoul for tags what can get me closer to solution.
Edit:
Second solution it would be that i can have pc in home and connect to it program like teamviever. But any of team viever like program can transmit rs 232 with stable connection to pc?
Edit2:
Can use Team Viever and "usb Network Gate" It's available for android and windows. But i'm happy when don't be depended from internet connection. If It's possible to run windows on Phone, eaven if It's slow emulated version
