Alternative Music Player - OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Questions & Answers

The stock music player seems to be terrible!
No widget is offered for it, if you close the app during a song, it restarts from the beginning next time instead of where it paused & I haven't even spotted it show any artwork yet!
Can anyone help with the above or offer a good basic alternative? Just want something simple from the Play Store which I can use as an effective default music player! Thanks.

Try Google Play Music
If you are open to spend some money, checkout PowerAmp

[Q] Music Player: option not to loop?

Is there a way to make the music player play an album or a playlist and then just STOP? I can't find any options to change the behaviour of the player and I don't want it to loop forever!
For being branded Sony the music player in this phone is pretty "basic" to say the least.
Yeah the player isn't great, I use the doubleTwist media player myself.
I have installed "Meridian Media Player Pioneer" from the Android market and I can recommend this little free application. I see some negative comments in the market about the interaction with the developer if you buy the "professional" version but I must say that the free version is very nice and according to the description it should play FLAC files too (haven't tried yet).
The application has all the settings you expect in a music player, including looping one song, the full playlist or not looping at all.

[Q] S-Voice and Music Control

Hey guys, I posted this in another forum, but never had any responses. I've also searched this site quickly and didn't see anything regarding this.
How well does S-Voice control music? I always play my music through bluetooth in my truck and I think it would be great to be able to change songs through voice commands. I've seen videos showing that S-Voice can start playing music, but none showing that it could actually play a specific song on request, (i.e. play *insert song here*). If S-Voice is not currently capable of doing this, would rooting the phone accomplish this with certain mods? I have never rooted a phone and I am looking forward to taking the dive with the GSIII.
And finally, when using S-Voice to play songs, will it only play through the stock music player, or could you play songs through Google Music?
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help!
Hi there I assume if you make a third party music the default it would play from there but maybe not as then it wouldn't have the integration, I could test it if you like. And as far as music control goes its very good you can do loads of commands such as:
play
pause
stop
skip
then more advance commands like
play > alex claire too close
play > playlist bike songs
That is awesome... I do hope there is a way to make Google Music the default player as I much prefer streaming my music as opposed to taking up storage space on the phone.
Well I downloaded PlayerPro as I can't get Google music in the U.K (not legal anyway
) and I made it the default music player. Unfortunately even after doing this S-Voice will still open the song in the default Samsung music player.

[Q] Scrobbling question

I use Playerpro, but have tried this with Poweramp and same thing. This applies to both the offical Last.FM scrobbler and Scrobbledroid. I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to make it only scrobble the track after it's been played. It always does it as soon as it starts. Scrobbledroid has a scrobble after % feature, but it only works with the stock android player, which I don't use. I bought both Poweramp and Playerpro. Contacting both developers hasn't gotten me anywhere. There should be a way around this, Scrobbledroid has a "scrobble after track has played" option, but it's still doing it as soon as I hit play. And if I pause a track as soon as I hit play it seems to scrobble the same track again.
Anyone have a work around for this?

[Q] Google Play Music All Access Music Downloading Question

Okay, so I purchased a great deal of songs from Google Play All Access and would like to play them on other media players without the need of buying GmusicFS as it is still buggy. Is there anything I can do so that I may enjoy the music I bought and not play them on a low quality player like Google Play Music app? Or am I just TOO hopeful?

Music app which can auto-crossfade playlist?

Hello all, I am searching the net for a music app which will auto-crossfade a playlist of tunes. According to the description, it seems that the Rocket Player app can do this but I installed it and there's a gap between the tunes. Is there any other app I can try or if Rocket player can do this, how can I get support from it's developer please?

Thanks, I tried it, it is not auto-crossfading so I have written to the developer for help.
what do you mean by "auto-crossfading". if it has anything got to do with fading out the end of the current song and fading into the new song its there

I mean I select a playlist and the software will play every song on it's own without myself having to select song after song, like a shuffle feature but it will crossfade every tune so no gaps in between the tunes.
BlackPlayer! Does it all... I like a lot this new minimalistic toy

Same deal with blackplayer, even though the "gapless" option is selected it is not crossfading, would you mind checking the audio preferences in blackplayer on your android phone and let me know what else is checked so I can set mine the same way please?
You could try PlayerPro. Been with for ages, and always come back to it. It's even running right now, crossfading as you wish
Tapatalked from my Note 3
i think what you're looking for is something like Mix and Mash on iTunes. This program allows you to choose the songs you like (either individually or by playlist) and then you crossfade songs for any length of time. Plus, you don't have to play the entire song, you can choose to play whatever amount of time you would like and songs usually begin playing somewhere in the middle, so you don't have to listen to the beginning or end of a song.
Is there an app like this for android???
Poweramp. It's not free, but I believe there is a trial. I've used it for years now. It's one of the few apps have made the journey from Gingerbread to Nougat with me, lol... Turn on the cross-fading in the settings, and play any song from the 'All Songs' list. You can turn on shuffle or let the list play in order. There are two settings [other than off] under Auto-advance fading, one is to only crossfade songs that aren't gapless and the other is to crossfade all songs. You might have to change the setting to the 'Crossfade all songs' setting, as many songs I've tried don't seem to do it. This creates a problem if you want to listen to an album that is gapless (no delay between tracks), so toggle the setting as needed
I found one called media monkey and it has a cross-fade in the settings. throw a playlist in and it mixes all tracks with no silence
In case anyone is still looking, the best crossfade I found is "neutron music player" (evaluation version). All other players (Pi music player, dub music player) I tried will "crossfade" only if I follow playlist order, but there is an obvious break if I randomly pick a song from the list. I use this app to play pad music and have to choose different files as needed instead of following the order of playlist.
However, neutron has really horrendous interface compared to others. Not user friendly at all, I would have given it up immediately if I could find something else that works.
