I made this thread because im desperate and really frustrated because of the loop regarding rooting procedures for Zenfone live, TWRP are the same and not working when you do "fastboot fllash recovery [filename].img", hopefully someone can make things clear about whether there is a working rooting procedures for this device because what I've search for the past hours are more likely troll and not really helpful.

Have you unlock the bootloader?
And if u would root Ur Asus try whit Magisk

So I'm somewhat new to rooting. I rooted it about 2 months Ago and I've been experimenting with it. I havent bricked it so far, luckily and might I add surprisingly lol
OK, well to the point... This phone doesn't seem to be compatible with CWM or TWRP & I've searched high and low for a Custom Recovery
.IMG to no avail.
Has everyone givin up on this phone? Why can't I find one. Its driving me crazy that I can't find one lol

I'v been searching for a guide for a while now, with no luck. Is my phone rootable? I'm annoyed by few things that could be fixed after rooting :crying:

Use TWRP.
if the version of your phone is the H960A European...then you may use TWRP flashable SuperSU.zip to archive root...you need to enter bootloader and use ADB to flash TWRP, search here on the V10 forum they have the tutorial to follow.

or if someone have a compatible Custom ROM with working fingerprint for Android 7 above to share would be a great help
I tried to PORT some.
Tried edit boot.img, system.img, using Android Kitchens, Unpack/Repack;;;
I read,watch and follow instructions how to do it but i got no luck or im just a noob for doing it.
I always got stuck to bootloop.
Hope someone gives attention to my post...
