Compatible USB-C to HDMI Adapter? - Asus ROG Phone Questions & Answers

Does anyone have a recommendation for a USB-C to HDMI adapter that works with this phone, aside from the rather pricey Pro Dock? I have a tried a couple cables that work with my MacBook Pro, but they do not work with the phone.

I know this one works. I bought it a couple months ago and haven't had any problems since.

Any Keyboards for viewpad7e?

Does anyone know of a keyboard for viewpad7e ?
I have a keyboard for my GTab and thought with a converter for the USB it would work, but does not.
Jim
hi there,
you could use USB OTG with mini USB jack. it works for me though.
i've tried bt keyboard for Gtab, but it didnt work for me. maybe it needs some apk or something to make it connected
sorry USB OTG with mini USB Jack, what is this?.. I have a USB keyboard that I use with Gtablet and work great .. tried with a USB converter plug and it does not work for me.. what keyboard are you using please..
Jim
On my view pad 7 (without e) the issue with keyboards really was on the mini usb connector. Several keyboards doesn't work with the first usb-to-miniusb adapter, but switching the adapter, following an accessories seller advice, all keyboard work just fine.
Try with another mini converter and take your keyboard to the store to try it.
Now I'm using a common usb desktop mini keyboard with an adapter and it works perfect. And you can carry that with almost no extra weight in your bag or backpack.

I have been using this Bluetooth KB with my Viewpad 7 for several months now. It is available from Scosche for $59.99 but Amazon has it for $32.99. A bonus is it is easy to transport since it rolls up.

[Q] MHL to HDMI Adapter: Connecting to TV?

Hi everyone. I asked about this some time ago, and someone here recommended an adapter that I bought from Ebay. It was difficult to make it fit into the tablet, but it would fit sometimes. Nowadays, I can't get it to fit at all. It also does not fit into my new android phone, so I thought the cable was just damaged. I bought a different MHL to HDMI adapter (Rankie) from Amazon. This cable is pretty much identical to the first cable I bought. It also does not fit all the way into my tablet or phone (goes in about halfway). Compared to the USB charging cable, I noticed that the silver end piece of the MHL to HDMI adapter is slightly longer and different in shape.
This is the adapter that I tried to use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MY05GNA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which MHL to HDMI adapter would you recommend specifically? If you could link to the page, I would really appreciate that.
I got the PPA version from Frys yesterday & it does work; will need to connect to a charger since it does drain the battery quickly. Haven't had it long enough to see if it works consistently; plugging the adapter to the 11-pin to 5-pin adapter is a bit tight but that's to the good for a solid fit.
The adapter is also available at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/PPA-Internati...id=1425057983&sr=1-1&keywords=ppa+mhl+to+hdmi
The "sale" at Frys for the last day is 2/28/2015 for $14.95.

Can a Samsung mhl 3 adapter work on my z2?

Just what the title says.
Since mhl 3 is connector agnostic, it should theoretically work right?
i am using a samsung mhl adaptor like this one on my z2 with no problems:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MHL-HDMI-Adapter-Packaging/dp/B005LGUDKK
it's an older version mhl but i guess the new one should work fine too.
If it's micro USB then it should do. The z2 supports mhl 3.0 so if the cable is correct it should work, beware of fakes which only support 2.0, found out the I hard way!
I believe 3.0 supports 4k but I may be wrong. On a side note my Z2 didn't come with the nice headphones or the cheap ones but some decent in ear sony ones (not DNC).

Multiport Adapter

So, I've got an HDMI adapter, an Ethernet adapter and an OTG adapter, but obviously, I cant use all three at onece, and I can't charge the tablet while I'm using any of them.
Can anyone confirm if the official Samsung Multiport Adapter works with the Tab S4, because it's not listed as a compatible device.
Or, recommend a cheaper alternative that works, specifically, using all ports at once, while charging.
Thanks
It does work, on the Tab S4 page, it says "Recommend accessories for Galaxy Tab S4: Multi Port Adapter (EE-P5000B), HDMI Adapter (EE-HG950), DeX Cable (EE-I3100). Exact model number may vary by country."
What a scam to charge so much for some port extensions.
Sammy management are on crack or something o.0
Nothing cheaper?
Look for an USB C hub in Amazon or a Chinese shop. I bought this.

Hello, i have tested 2 different usb-c multiport dongels. But they dont forward enough current to charge the tab S4. Battery slowly drains when in use (dex or multiwindow) or when screen is off and tablet idle.
So far i have tested:
Eminent AB7872 USB Type-C 4K Multiport Dock
Akasa AK-CBCA01-15BK 0.15m USB C HDMI (max 2a)
Has anyone a good alternative?

In a related thread, a user says edition model number it's working with his tab 4

Best Buy nearby has several in stock and will price match. No Ethernet, though. I just got my tab yesterday so all about outfitting it.
I'm likely to buy one in the morning.
I have this one and everything works fine. The hub is connected to an external Monitor (for Dex), wireless keyboard and mouse, to my Tab S4. I use it pretty much like a small dock on my desk and power delivery works fine.

I bought the Ugreen 8 in 1 multiport adapter from Ali Express. It works realy well, it has great length if you have short tablet stand. I haven't got a PD adapter for fast charging because it uses 7.5w but i don't know the Tab S4 supports Power Delivery and i have a double QC3.0 charger from Aukey but it is not charging fast so i am a bit disappointed.

USB-C -- Mini HDMI adapter

I have a keychain style projector and want to use it with my phone when I am traveling. Does anyone have a suggestion on cable to get?
Oh, last time I tried that eons ago with an Samsung S3 and some cheap MHL-adapter from ebay - wanted to play Mario Kart in breaks at work... alas, didn't work but looking forward to any positive answers here...
I have an Onn brand USB-C (m) - HDMI (f) and so far it hasn't worked with any phone that I have had. OnePlus Nord N10 5G, Motorola G Stylus 5G, or Motorola G Power. For a sub $15 cable I honestly wasn't expecting much, but why make and sell something that doesn't work? Or am I just not using the cable in the right type of application?
Well, later I learned that:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III#Connectivity
Still, kept that cable for some years but didn't work on any phone I had...
Such thing could be really handy with my little beamer in the sleeping room (pretty tired of DLNA, SMB and USB-cards).
